    Rootbeer float!
    Colleen R.

We went out to celebrate my daughter. It was quiet and clean. Our ordering experience was pleasant and quick. I got a hot fudge sundae, it was big. There wasn't much hot fudge on it, but they did not hold back on ice cream or whipped cream. I am sure if I had asked for more, they would have added some. My daughter got a rootbeer float and loved it.

It's a Memorial Day and no better way to be grateful for all we have than by getting a yummy vanilla custard

Loveeeeeee me some Nick Charlaps sundaes! Their coconut ice cream is scrum didly!! So good! And the homemade whipped cream is just too dang good. Service is always quick and very friendly. Most classic ice cream parlor ambiance you can get in 2025.

So many choices! Homemade ice cream or creamy dreamy soft serve or milkshake, sundae, soda? What flavor, size, toppings or sprinkles? Must come here more often to try everything! My favorites so far are peanut butter sponge candy, salted Carmel and coffee soft serve hot fudge Sunday! Cute old fashioned ice cream shop with friendly staff.

Had the coffee flavored soft serve hot fudge sundae!, Delicious, creamy soft serve , great light coffee flavor! Got the extra cost home made whipped ream , a nice touch! Good size too.

The people who work here are soo friendly, and the ice cream is delicious. The dairy free blueberry pancake ice cream is yummy and unique. I personally love the caramel brownie overload, it is full of brownie bits and perfect for a chocolate lover. Ambience is cute and spacious, and there's a candy shop inside as well if you want to take some treats to go.

One Saturday evening, we decided to take a drive down for some ice cream. As a transplant, and even though I've been here for a while now, I have never visited this place. My wife, who is a local, suggested we finally check it out together. The place was clean, they have a parking lot on the smaller side, but we found the spot to park. They have a variety of ice cream, and all of it is homemade and well made, as far as I know. The one thing I don't get about many ice cream places is that they serve the same brand of ice cream But for a high price, which is why I am never impressed. This please, on the other hand, makes their own ice cream, which I truly appreciate. I would definitely come back again. Who knows, maybe tonight!

Wow Wow Wow!!! I used to drive all the way to Tonawanda for Platters orange chocolate and Nick Charlaps was right under my nose!!! I got the orange chocolate custard and this is the best ice cream I've ever had!!! I turned it into a sundae with hot fudge and whipped cream and this dessert was absolute perfection. 5/5 would absolutely come here again.

I used to go here often as a kid, when this was Antoinette's on the Hill. I haven't been here since the name change. Well, I came here last night and got a baby banana soft serve with chocolate sprinkles, an Easter greeting card, and two six packs of ice cream sandwiches. (One was M&M's and one was Reese's Pieces.) All of that was $31.42. The ice cream sandwiches were the best I've had. The seats were comfortable in here. I'm not sure if they're the same as when I was a kid. The staff were friendly and kind, when it looked like I was looking around their chocolate section. This was a nice experience and I'll be back.

Used to be Antionette's candies when I was a kid, now Nick Charlap took over the spot with his sweet treats (candy shop still on site). On Mondays, there are BOGO cones but we realized this a bit too late (oh well, there is always next time). I got a Caramel Cashew Crunch (say that 5 times fast) in a sugar cone. It hit the spot, nothing more to say! My father got a sundae with hot fudge and bananas (with whipped cream of course).... perfect size he said and everything tasted fresh! Teenagers who work there are not the most outgoing or friendly but I'm here for ice cream so I don't mind! Perfect spot to grab a winter cone (especially Mondays!)

    Specialty ice cream sundae.

Mom got her Graham Canyon, and Casey got the Dairy Free Peanut Butter and Cookies. Now my eyes were immediately drawn to the Afghanistan Sheer Yahk. Something I've never heard of, and I like to try new things. The nice gentleman at the window explained it's like frozen milk. And it was, but it was so much more amazing than just that. It's frozen regular, dry, and condensed milk with some saffron, cardamon, pistachios, and a little bit of rose water. I know it sounds a little strange, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The rose water isn't overpowering, and I enjoyed the new flavor. The whole dish was icy, sweet, and yet has a warm taste from the cardamon. I could have easily eaten a medium, and I'm so sad I only got a small. That's my bad. We didn't try the kabobs, but I bet if they are half as good as the Afghanistan ice cream, they will be awesome. I will happily make the hour drive from Great Valley to come back and try their actual food when it's available and get a larger size Sheer Yahk for sure.

This time, the menu was practically shouting my name: Oreo Milk Fudge Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich. As luck would have it, I had conveniently stashed a couple of gift cards in my shorts pocket, so it felt like fate. The brownie was perfectly fudgy, and I was thrilled to finally try this masterpiece. Seven dollars very well spent. I enjoyed it while sitting in the shade on the stone wall, with my pup taking in the sights of Main Street like the neighborhood watch. Now, I don't want to take full credit for this sandwich making it onto the menu... but I may have messaged them once or twice (or a few times) suggesting that a brownie ice cream sandwich would be a fantastic idea. Coincidence? Maybe. Proof that dreams really do come true? Absolutely.

The quality is incredible and the mix-ins are so generous, no skimping here. This round we tried the Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella and the Oreo Brownie Cake. Christian absolutely nailed the cozy, Christmasy vibes with the eggnog flavor. I already know I'll be craving this one every winter. And the Oreo Brownie Cake? Come on... the name alone is tempting, but it delivers. Think fudgy brownie swirls, big chunks of Oreos, and pure chocolatey goodness in every scoop. Basically heaven in a pint. Worth every single penny. And even better when you share it with someone who also has a sweet tooth.

I'll be honest, I've been putting off ordering a few pints because I didn't want to make the effort/time for picking it up. Thanks to a dear friend, a fellow Yelp Elite, I've FINALLY had the opportunity to try some pints, and holy smokes, Living the Cream is phenomenal! Note that in to order flavors, you'll want to follow "livingthecream_" on Instagram, "living_the_cream_" on Facebook, which showcases any new flavors being crafted and hosts the link to place your order. I tried two flavors: Oreo Brownie Smash and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella. Oreo Brownie Smash is Oreo cookie ice cream with brownie batter swirls, Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough, and half-baked brownies and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella is spiced eggnog ice cream infused with Jim Beam and Platter's dark orange chocolate stracciatella. Just. WOW! Absolutely no complaints, each was bursting with flavor and packed with so many mix-ins. I loved finding huge Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough chunks and just how chocolatey Oreo Brownie Smash was thanks to all the brownie bits swirled in. The Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella had the creamy, comforting flavor of eggnog with a nice nip of Jim Beam that let you know it was there but never overpowering. The crunchy bits of the dark orange chocolate stracciatella cut through all the creaminess, only elevating the ice cream overall. Opening both pints, I was super impressed how jam-packed they were - It took a bit of effort to get the lids off, the pint was on the cusp of overflowing! So I didn't order these pints so I can't give you the most accurate pricing info, but after trying a couple flavors, I'm happy to order a few pints myself without thinking too much about the cost. I'm really glad Living the Cream is out here, churning up amazing ice cream flavors for Buffalo! As a few other Yelp reviews mention, make a little room in your freezer and treat yo'self to a couple pints of some of the creamiest, mix-in full ice cream you'll ever have!
