Each piece features smooth, sculptural finishes, layered flavors, and seasonal components--elegant in appearance and delicate in texture." Each cake serves one and is 2.75" in size. Love that there were mini versions of these mousse cakes. All of the glazes were done well and the cakes were moist. Earl Grey Strawberry - Light Earl Grey and strawberry flavor. However, I prefer the Jasmine and Strawberry combo. The Earl Grey Strawberry combo did not taste harmonious like the Jasmine Strawberry. The glaze is beautiful. Not only aethetically-pleasing, but the light jelly-like consistency, creamy and smooth glaze brings a beautiful texture. The cake is moist, but you mostly get the glaze. It is a mini-cake, but you can taste everything in one bite. It is small enough where you can eat it by yourself or share with someone if you want half. Sobacha - Good nutty flavor of sobacha, buttery flavor at the end. Yet still light texturally. Overall beautifully done! Hojicha - Beautiful, strong hojicha flavor. Any hojicha lover would love this! Espresso Cookie Butter - Really good strong flavors of the biscoff. But did not detect nor taste any espresso flavor anywhere. Matcha - Light in matcha flavor. Vanilla sponge cake. Buttery flavor at the end. Chocolate Black Sesame - Very strong black sesame flavor. Has a caramel layer between. Buttery, nutty deliciousness! However, I prefer the signature cake slab version. Favorites: Espresso Cookie Butter, Hojicha, Chocolate Black Sesame. SIGNATURE CAKE SLABS Taken from Dōmi website: "Cake Slabs are sliced portions of our signature whipped ganache cakes, crafted for effortless enjoyment without compromising on quality. Each slab features soft, balanced layers finished with light whipped ganache made using Valrhona chocolates--refined, indulgent, and true to our fine-dining-inspired approach to cake." Before consuming always bring to room temperature or the swiss meringue buttercream will be hard and the cake will be a bit more dense. Yuzu - Very good yuzu curd with light tartness and sweetness in balance. Creamy buttercream. Vanilla cake was soft and moist. London Fog Birthday - Love the overall look! Moist vanilla cake. Light Earl Grey flavor in cake. Vanilla buttercream is thick and creamy. Overall tastes like light Earl Grey. Love the rainbow sprinkles throughout the cake! Chocolate Black Sesame - The black sesame whipped ganache and vanilla buttercream is so good! Moist, rich cocoa cake. Not dense like the last time I've tried it. The thin layer of caramel between the cocoa cake really brings the nutty black sesame and buttery caramel flavors together. Without the dark, buttery caramel flavor, this cake would not be as fantastic as it should! The cocoa cake was slightly dry when eaten separately, but with the buttercream, I could not tell and it was delicious! Hazelnut Blood Orange - Tasted a bit of hazelnut flavor. Cannot detect the blood orange. Had to double check my order to see if I got the right cake. Can only taste cocoa cake. A little bit of deep tea flavor or caramel. Hard to detect. Some kind of dried yuzu or blood orange peel on top. It was a bit hard and unpleasant to chew on. This was my least favorite. Favorites: Chocolate Black Sesame, London Fog Birthday. I'm glad I've got to try both types of cakes, but I love the signature cake slabs! PICK-UP Domi does not have a physical store, so you must order online and pick a pickup date at the Temple City location. Currently they only have Saturday pickups. Once you arrive, please text a message to Domi and they will bring your order out to the parking lot. All details will be given once your order is confirmed. It's an easy pickup, however there has been instances where they did not bring my order out for several minutes and I had to go to the pickup location door and inquire of my order. I placed my order online on their website, which was a seamless process. You choose the cake you want (options and flavors are always changing), choose a pick-up date and time, and pay online. You will get a text or email (depending on the option of communication that you choose), the owner will message you to confirm the order and provide pick-up instructions. There's limited free street parking. Once you arrive, just send them a text and they will bring out your order straight to your car ... all packaged nicely :) As for the cake itself, I ordered the a custom Pink Glazed Mousse cake with Hojicha flavor. The marbleization design of the cake was stunningly beautiful and the flavor was robust in Japanese Hochija tea flavor - just how I like it. The mousse part is where the Hojicha flavor is at and the texture was nice and smooth. I liked that it was not too sweet. The base is a thin layer of dark cocoa cake, which contrasted the Hojicha perfectly. Chocolatey and roasted tea flavor ... just warms my heart and soul.

His customer service and his attention to detail were outstanding! Even after he sold it to a family member, I continued buying my cakes there, as it's been a family tradition for decades. Birthdays, graduations, baby showers, congratulations cakes, and a few holidays throughout the year, we get our cakes here and would always send business their way. But, throughout the years after Tom left, we noticed the quality and quantity not only of their customer service, but also their cakes decline. The sponge got thinner and thinner, as the price steadily continued going up. Basically half the sponge for double the price, but the flavor we all had gotten accustomed to was still the same so we continued buying cakes there. Then a few years back we noticed even the favor and the most basic of decorations started to decline. A basic cake that once had a trim and a few colored flowers, were no longer. "Who wants an all white buttercream cake?? That looks unfinished??" Cakes are purchased for celebration, and instead they are now, with no effort AT ALL just providing these cakes with no decoration at all. Plain, with chocolate writing, that's it that's all. Nowadays, I can get a tastier, better decorated cake at Walmart, and for a 3rd of the price! They have completely destroyed Tom's legacy! And if that's not bad enough, the customer service is now horrendous! I went in to pick up a cake; When I arrived, I asked if the cake was ready as the ones in the fridge didn't look finished or like anything I had ordered. The young lady at the counter tells me it's ready and proceeded to pack up the most hideous plain cake I've ever seen. I paused and asked her, why wasn't it done as ordered? I stated for it to be done in blue (as it's always been done) blue writing, blue, trim, a few blue flowers, and of course the writing (a pretty basic and standard cake, nothing fancy). She looks at a note and tells me "well, we can fix the writing but it's going to look ugly" no apology for their mistake, just this look on her face, like it bothered her that it was brought to her attention. Then I showed her photos of previous purchased cakes (from there) and she stated well, I've never seen you here... well, I hadn't seen her either, still doesn't change the fact that... 1. It was done wrong and the cake was not what I had ordered... 2. That she had a horrible attitude. People like her is the reason small shops like this one go out of business. No one wants to have their time wasted, and give up their hard earned money for a "professional" service to be provided and met with mediocre service, the wrong order, and on top of that given an attitude and asked to pay extra to correct their mistakes and confusion; if I wanted as ordered! AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE WE'LL NEVER RETURN. WE'RE TAKING OUR BUSINESS AND OUR MONEY TO AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT, THAT DOESNT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS WHEN INTRUSTING THEM WITH OUR BUSINESS ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS OR EVENTS. They should be ashamed of therselfs, and they should seriously look in to new hires! Save yourself the hassle of having to deal with the same kind of experience, and go elsewhere!

When I return the fountain I did see a really beautiful butterfly cake that someone designed I wish I would have taken a picture of it.
