This bakery is absolutely amazing. I reached out to East Los Sweets to do custom cookies for a Game of Thrones watch party. I contacted her by email for an estimate and sent pictures of design inspirations. She responded quickly and was very helpful, communication was great. And the cookies came out better than I could have imagined. She did an an incredible job, she is an artist. I will be going to her for any custom cookies/cakes from now on, just amazing!

My review for Mai and her bomb diggity Petit Sweets is long overdue! How satisfied were my wife and…read moreI? VERY SATISFIED! Mai's responsiveness, attention to detail, amazing vision, and delicious talent was a hit at our wedding and our guests kept talking about it for days after! Our guests wiped the dessert table clean before the main course could even get served lol! Here's what Mai prepared for us! Buttermilk Panna Cotta w/ Strawberry Basalmic Lemon Blueberry White Chocolate Mousse Chocolate Decadence Matcha and Churro Mochi Donuts The names of it in itself is mouth watering! Taste? CHECK. Presentation? CHECK. Unique dessert menu? CHECK. Referred her over to many brides who direct messaged us on IG and they thanked us for the referral after their wedding was over and done with! Thank you Mai! We'll definitely use her for our next (first baby) party!

I'm quite critical when it comes to 2 things: aesthetics (I like pretty things), and well, food (). Petit sweets perfectly delivers with their treats that are just almost too pretty to eat. My favorites are the red velvet cake, and the mochi donut holes(!). The red velvet, omg! Never have I tasted such a moist and perfectly balanced taste of decadent chocolate with the perfect amount of cream cheese frosting. At every event, I secretly hope there are always leftovers so I can go home and have it all to myself . The mochi donuts holes are also insanely addictive. They're small, and look so innocent..but before you know it, you'll have chewed through a whole box of them. Solution: order extra. I can't wait until the next event so I have excuse to indulge in my favorite dessert caterer again. Mmm..Weekends...that's calls for a celebration right?

I really wanted to throw it in the ladies face. & if you see in the cake the lady still gave me a cake that was damaged & didn't want to fix. Saying it's normal for that to happen. I've been coming here since 2012 & I've purchased $100's of cakes from here. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR UNPROFESSIONAL ASS JUST LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER .... I always expect things from Southeast Los Angeles to be very, very good. Today we came to a bakery…read morethat we heard good things about. Inside it looks and smells like the real deal. The selection is great and the place is really popular. They sell tons of pan dulce, tres leches cakes, flans, and tamales, etc. Even champurrado. I tried their Empanada de Piña (pineapple empanada or turnover) and it was disappointing. Empanadas de Piña are my favorite pan dulce. It looks beautiful from the outside but I did not really like the filling. The bread is ok but the filling isn't that great. The filling color isn't right. It's too yellow. The flavor isn't right. The champurrado wasn't very good either. Too thin and not very chocolatey. They are in a huge parking lot.

Finally got a chance to try Nuo Mochi! Stopped in on a weekday afternoon at around 2pm and there…read morewas still a line. Parking is super easy- there's a little free lot in the back. The space itself is small and this is strictly a pick up and go shop. There are a few benches for you to sit on to wait for your order, but nowhere to sit so be prepared for that. You order on a kiosk or can order ahead. All orders are made to order and SUPER fresh! There are several different options of fillings and each piece of mochi is HUGE! This mochi is a Chinese variation, so definitely different from Japanese or Korean types in that it is SUPER soft and chewy. The fillings are all fresh and plentiful! My favorite was the strawberry- Will definitely be back for that one again! These desserts should be eaten the same day and if you're picking up to take these home, you might want to bring a cooler with you if you've got a long drive Back. But definitely lives up to the hype and worth a try!

Heard many bad things about this spot but also heard neutral things about their mochi.. Figured to…read moregive it a try myself before judging. I now understand why you may either love it or hate it. Mochi itself is very very soft, quite sticky and not much structure to it. It's more mushy/sticky than chewy. If you ordered a few and couldn't finish it. Eating the next day after keeping it in the fridge, the mochi is much firmer and added that chewiness that it was missing which I would have preferred. And some of the filling options sounded good on screen but a bit much/odd when actually eating it. Some people might really like it but some might think it doesn't pair well.. Strawberry Bobo Mochi - out of all the fruit flavored one we grabbed. This one was the best, I personally did not read the wall of description and found out after eating it that the cream filling was very heavy on cream cheese. Strawberry paired well with cream cheese.. but made it quite heavy. Might be best for kids.. Peach Bobo Mochi -quite floral and didn't really pair well with cream cheese flavor.. Melon Bobo Mochi - honeydew flavored cream cheese with cantaloupe was not what I was expecting. Kids might light this.. Taro Cream Cheese Mochi -flavor sounded great on screen but I'm not sure what I was expecting but I also wasn't expecting an entire block of cream cheese wrapped in taro within mochi.. very heavy. Didn't like this one at all. Taro Meat floss Mochi - if you like sweet and savory, this might be up your alley. Sesame Peanut Mochi -quite hard to eat, if you want this option might be best to opt for the style that is served in trays and eaten with a fork. Sugar Peanut Mochi -this one is similar to the sesame peanut, would also opt for the style that is served in trays and eaten with a fork. Ended up cutting it up and eating it that way instead.
