Ericka performed the majority of my initial appointment to prepare for my root canal, and it went by quickly and efficiently. She's a pleasure to talk to and she clearly explained my case and alongside Dr. West, explained the plan for the root canal My root canal performed by Dr. West was ENTIRELY pain free. I was very comfortable during the whole procedure and could tell that he was being very thorough. It is evident that he takes tremendous pride in his work, and he has a beautiful office and practice to show for it. It's definitely no accident that his team is comprised of the kind, communicative people I had the pleasure of interacting with; dental work/root canals can be stressful, but I never once felt stressed in his team's care. The billing department was simple to work with and handled my insurance seamlessly. Rio called me to assure all my information was correct and to had a quote of my bill in time for me to review before my appointment. I let…read morehim know I had a bit of dental anxiety and to please be gentle and let me know ahead of time what he was doing. He basically told me I was crazy and couldn't possibly be in pain because there was no nerve. He proceeded to press dry ice to my tooth, causing extreme pain. I winced and teared up and asked him to stop. He scoffed at me and did it again, saying I didn't have a nerve there and I was crazy. He basically told me he didn't see an issue and he could try to just re do the root canal, but he didn't think it would work. I walked out of there traumatized and in more pain, I still can't believe I had to pay him for that.... I have spent the last 1.5 years in therapy (because of him) and in pain, and finally, I was able to get into a dentist who immediately saw the problem and was shocked that Dr. Nguyen didn't see it. I'm so glad I didn't let Dr Nguyen redo this root canal, he was not only incompetent, but also abusive.

He was told this would be fine however received a phone call today saying that they were refusing him care unless he agreed to be seen by Dr. Nguyen. A patient should have the right to chose who provides their dental care and not be forced to have a dentist they aren't comfortable with performing oral surgeries. Avoid this unprofessional office and find a specialist who truly puts their patients needs first.

I am NEVER going back to this clinic I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Hwang, which was canceled by the clinic at the last minute. They rescheduled me for Saturday at noon. After my X-rays were taken, I was brought in for an examination, but Dr. Hwang refused to do my "annual cleaning". As he forced me for deep cleaning without having a regular cleaning first instead. This not only disrupted my X-rays and annual cleaning--which are supposed to be part of the same routine checkup--but Dr. Hwang also mentioned they didn't have time to complete the cleaning because the clinic was closing. Now when I will make a new appointment with a new clinic they would ask me to go for x-rays as regular protocol meaning out of pocket cost.

I feel so blessed to have been referred (by my boss) to Dr. Kuritani. He and his staff are incredible! I had a lot of anxiety coming into my appt for a root canal and they went above and beyond their duties to put me at ease. I made the mistake of asking others about their experiences and was told it would be painful to the point where I would need narcotics and would have to take the day off from work. This was absolutely NOT true. I could have easily gone back to work after the session....well after a nap since I had taken a pill to relax me prior to the procedure. :) There was very little pain and that was due to my jaw being open for so long. I also have preexisting issues with my jaw, so for the "normies" out there, it wouldn't be a problem. A couple Tylenol fixed the issue and I was back to being me. I was 100% satisfied with my experience beginning to end. True blessing to have found this team of efficient, accommodating and caring professionals.
