This place had the best BBQ in Palm springs when they first opened. The portions were priced really well. I can't even remember the last time I felt like I got a really good value on BBQ. Traditionally BBQ is just costly to prepare. I'm not sure how they could maintain so low a price point that's when they first open and it looks like they raised it. 14 months after they open I see the Cisco boxes going through the back door and the prices have gone up a little bit. The quality and valuepoint has changed since they first opened. Unfortunately I no longer feel like this is the best in town. It's just the reality of the situation. BBQ business is hard. When they first open they had their own beer brewed for them by mission brewing company in San Diego. Not that that's an achievement, it is good attention to detail. It's a great beer. The pretzel is huge. Get the pretzel. The pretzel awesome. I love the pretzel. I'll probably hit it again a few times, it wasn't horrible last time I was there it just wasn't as good as when they first opened that they were trying harder to make a name for themselves. read more

This place did not disappoint! We ordered the Bubba's sampler for 2! It was so delicious. The meat falls right off the bones and the green apples in the cole slaw were a sweet touch! The place is a little hole in the wall type of vibe. I think if they added AC and high top tables, it would turn the place a notch up, but the food definitely makes up for it 100%! Will definitely be coming back. read more

Amazing BBQ, good beer. I was trying to determine what was making this place stand out and man I think just a little bit of everything...the sauce was on point nice selection. I got the ribs and hot links which were very good, the meat fell right off the bone...all in all good flavor. Definitely will be back and see what other good stuff they have. read more

This place is pure deliciousness! If I lived closer than 2 hours away, I'd be here weekly. The watermelon margarita was refreshing, delicious and strong enough. The ribs were fall off the bone; brisket was the perfect combo of melt in your mouth with the right amount of chew. Sidewinders and mac n cheese were a great compliments to the meats. Wow, we were really impressed with this place. Came in for a random lunch and got the Western burger, sidewinder fries, and mac & cheese. All three were really awesome. We'd come here again. Burger was big enough to split and was well-cooked, barbecue sauce is nice and smoky, the sidewinder fries really hit the spot, and the mac is super creamy. They also served some fresh pickles with the burger that were really good. Nice and bright, a little sweetness, a little acidity. Beer selection is nothing to write home about, but prices for local pints are reasonable. Looking forward to coming here again and trying the legit BBQ! read more

Been eyeing this place for a while now and finally tried it on a Saturday afternoon. Real low key with a very nice beer and food selection. I of course got some wings and fries to go along with a local beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Not the biggest sports bar but allegedly it picks up at night. I strongly recommend this place if you're in Palm Springs anytime. Enjoy! read more

Tiffany greeted our party of four as we came in for an early lunch. Menu is extensive, features all the expected BBQ options, and their house-made beers and ales are on tap. Our order consisted of pulled pork, chicken, brisket, fish and chips, and several of the sides which included white cheddar mac and cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. Everything tasted great! I enjoyed Bubba's draft IPA. Tiffany attentively answered our questions, explained menu item with which we were not as familiar, and was clearly enthusiastic about her restaurant's offerings. Guests can expect good value for their money. Portions are generous, lunches include fresh dill pickles, a variety of sauces are on every table, and the ambiance is pleasant. Was driving from so cal to Arizona and found this spot on Yelp. Was exactly what I was looking for. Yelp reviews looked promising. And boy did It live up to the hype. We all had one ice cold beer. Started off with the Mac and cheese egg rolls. (Didn't sound appetizing) but WOW they were delicious. Brisket and pulled pork were also great. I had potato salad and baked beans for sides. Everything was great.!! Adriana (server)and jade (bar tender) were very friendly. Food came out very fast. I Will definitely stop back by next time I'm out this way. I went in yesterday wanting beef ribs. The name "Bones" and brew led me to believe that RIB bones would be on the menu. To my surprise, they weren't offered on the menu at all that day. And I forgot to ask if they are EVER available (as the name appears to imply). I'm not from the area, so I had no idea that there is a Dickey's right down the street. Could have gotten my desired "bones" from them. Anyway, I ordered smoked sausage, a Mandarin salad and brisket. The sausage and salad were good. However, if you can mess up sausage, you need to shut down right away. Right? The brisket was amazing!!! Cooked just right, tender and flavorful! Next time I'm in town, I'll come here for brisket and down the street to Dickey's for my beef ribs. By the way, the entire staff was friendly. read more

I've been coming to Bubba's for a few years and I love this place for the occasional "fix" of good barbecue. It's clean, consistent and friendly. I even order takeout when I don't have the time to dine in! As good as Bubba's is, there's only one thing that would make this establishment perfect IMO. Bubba's menu does not offer the choice of a baked potato -- a staple for most barbecue establishments. Yes, you can get crispy or sidewinder fries which are tasty - even potato salad. But sometimes you just want a big potato with butter, chives and/or sour cream. Friendly request from a fan...consider reintroducing the beloved baked potato. read more

We were looking for a place away from the downtown area and came across this restaurant. I am beyond happy that we found it!!!!! The food is outstanding and the service was impeccable. Brad is amazing and very attentive. We had smoked BBQ sausage, Mac and cheese egg rolls, BBQ porker burger, mixed veggies, cornbread, and fries....every single things was absolutely worth it....I can't wait to plan another visit to Palms Springs simply to come back here!!!!! read more

Went there for happy hour after golf. We ordered chili, pulled pork sliders and braised beef sliders. The food was served cold. The cheese did not melt on any of the items. The food also lacked taste. We ordered the fried well dine, and were good !!! The service was fine. Our bill was discounted , which was appreciated. Go elsewhere. read more

Chorizo Mac and cheese is a must. Love the fries Tender melt in your mouth meat. My Western BBQ Burger was really good - the fries excellent (really meant to swap for the sm salad). The jalapeno /sausage triangles- loved them; I could make a meal out of them with a salad. Worth the short drive from Downtown Palm Springs where we're staying. My husband and I had the brisket and fish and chips. The brisket was tender, the fish was one of the best batters I've tasted. We also had their beers. It was very good. Service was also good. Parking was easy. I would return here when I come back to Palm Springs. read more

Bubbas is the Disneyland for Meat Lovers! Ribs; slightly smoked, cooked to perfection and fork tender. Perhaps the meatiest pork rib ever. The bbq was spot on. They do have different sauces on the table, but why mess with perfection. Pulled pork 1 meat plate; tender, moist, smoked, sauced, and any other delicious adjective. Sides; salad-standard baby green Salas; fries with garlic Parmesan, cornbread, pinto beans. All were spot on; excellent portions. My 18 wheeler was in the shop so we made a day trip out to Palm Springs area. I told the wifey she had to trust me and that we were going to pick a random place to eat from Yelp. I've been Yelping long enough that I have pretty good judgment when it comes to picking out places to eat. You can usually tell from the pictures alone if the food is going to be fire. Anywho it was a success. The brisket was cooked perfectly, sausage, and the side were delicious. My Diet Coke was a little flat but the server went the extra mile and got me two diet cokes to pour into my glass. Will def be coming back to this place at some point in time. read more

Best Burgers snd the bbq plates look awesome as well. Just had take-out for three. I had pulled pork (Juicy and Tender) w/side of Baked Beans (Outstanding!), macaroni and cheese (Delicious!). My friend had two meats Brisket and Pulled Pork, he loved them! My Mom asked if I was posting a review and wanted me to add that her Cranberry Apple salad was perfect for her. All told, that makes three out three wanting to give 5 stars. It's a little awkward to enter the parking lot, but worth any obstacles! read more

They have board games for patrons to use. They have indoor seating, but we opted to sit out in the back patio. They have picnic tables and a few patio chair options as well. I will say, we sat on the picnic tables and there was a point where I scooted over and got splinters that went through my shorts and into my bottom. Maybe it was my fault because I should know not to scoot on wood, but that hurt. So be smarter than me; don't scoot on wood benches. They do have a really good happy hour. They also had a pizza pop up set up in the back and although we had dinner plans already, these pizzas looked and smelled so good! The people working the pop up event were also really friendly. Overall, a great place to check out. I would definitely come here with a group of friends and catch up. They play music but it's not so loud you can't hold a conversation. The playlist was really good too, a lot of oldies and classics.

I am writing this review to warn others about both the poor food quality and the shockingly unprofessional management at Bubba's Restaurant on Ramon Road in Cathedral City. On June 17th, I ordered three meals to take home. Unfortunately, the food was entirely unacceptable. The brisket order consisted mostly of fat and was completely inedible, and the barbecue beans had a strange, chemical aftertaste that resembled alcohol. Hoping to resolve the issue quietly, I called the restaurant to let them know about my experience. Instead of listening, the manager immediately launched into an aggressive rant. She accused me of being a "scam artist," claimed that no one ever complains about their food, and insisted I was making the whole thing up. Her response was incredibly disrespectful and completely uncalled for. I have no idea what "scam" she thought I was pulling by simply calling to report bad food. Customer service should involve listening to feedback, not insulting and attacking customers. Between the terrible food quality and the unacceptable behavior of the management, I will not be returning, and I highly recommend looking elsewhere for barbecue. read more

We came to Bubba's Bones and Brews after seeing all the Yelp hype, but sadly, it was a no all around for us. We really wanted to love this place, but the food just didn't deliver. We started with the brisket sliders, which were incredibly tough--more of a rubbery consistency than tender meat. I couldn't even bite through them, which immediately made it a no-go. Next up were the fish and chips, which looked promising but had zero seasoning. The fish was bland, and even with dipping sauces, it didn't come to life. We also tried the mac and cheese eggrolls, and while they sounded like a fun comfort food twist, they ended up being greasy, heavy, deep-fried artery-cloggers. Just too much. Service was fine and the vibe was casual, but unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the hype or the menu descriptions. We wanted this to be a new go-to spot--but it's a pass for us. read more

I haven't actually got the chance to eat in because I have a toddler and she will not sit for more than 5 mins.. so I call in and they always have it ready to go when I get there. Kids meals 5$ nice amount of food perfect for my little one she never finishes . My husband and I both get burgers he gets the western and I get the Mac daddy . Burgers are huge ! You definitely get your money worth . For my teenage boys they each get a half rack rib plate and they love it the ribs fall right off the bone . My food was amazing if there was an option for 10 stars they deserve it not only was it tasty the cooks made it with a smile and the served to me with a smile. The pork belly was so crispy, flavorful, and just chef's kiss. Of course, the Caesar salad was perfect. No notes, it was fresh, delicious, and I wouldn't change a thing. For my drink, I got the El Dragon, and I loved it! It was super refreshing with the perfect energy drink kick. If you're a Red Bull lover like me, you'll definitely appreciate this one. Overall, this place did not disappoint! As a local, I approve. I already know I'll be back because I need to try everything else on the menu. It was the best chimichanga I've ever had. Thankfully, there were no bell peppers or onions, which is usually mixed in with the meat. It was strictly cheese and great tasting beef, which was a winner! The black bean puree was simply delicious. I would ask for all beans next time as I don't prefer rice. They have some unique items on their menu, including a bone marrow burger, and many different steak and chicken plates. They also have a meat market next door as well, and I can't wait to come back both to the restaurant and to check out the meat market. See you soon!

The gentleman running the register and taking orders was very friendly and interactive. You place your order at the counter, and they call your number to pick up; however, I raised my hand when they called me, and the young lady brought it out to my table. She even went back into the kitchen to gather additional condiments. Once again, the tabletops were clean, and they have a large dining area with tables to accommodate larger groups. FOOD: I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger Combo, which came with fries or rings, and a soda. The price was reasonable, and the burger itself was very tasty, the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, and the bun was better than last time (didn't get soggy). Fries came out hot, but not too crisp. Unfortunately, no bleu cheese dressing was available to dip my fries in. Overall, the service was good, and the food was decent, especially the burger. I'm sure I'll be trying this place again as there are plenty of other menu items that look worth a try.
