We started with a delicious array of appetizers and later sat down to a plated meal. First salad then preordered main course. We provided guests with 4 options in advance (steak, chicken, salmon and pasta). Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Finished up with dessert. Assortment provided by In the Weeds and they allowed us to bring in a special cake. Lastly, In the Weeds also provided expertly arranged flowers that matched our color palette perfectly. The evening truly embodied a celebration worthy of a 60th anniversary!

The booth I sat in was ran down, you shouldn't sink into the booths when you find that perfect "@ss spot" being used for over 5 years. (Pet peeve of mines, this is why I hate booths). The menu is sort of all over the place with no cohesiveness. The price points for the quality and quantity is off for me, way off. I wanted the wedge salad but was told they have no ranch... "how don't you have ranch" I ordered the chicken piccata, it was nothing to write home about. Strike two when the waiter asked did I "need any salt and pepper, hot sauce". (Eyebrow raise, hot sauce!?!?) They warmed the frozen chicken breast up nice. The sauce was good but a burnt flavor lingered. Not sure if it was the sauce or the burnt vegetables. The mashed potatoes were congealed and flavorless. After I found a dime sized black flat ball of something in the mashed potatoes I had enough. I looked at all the beautiful dishes on yelp before I came here. ***WARNING*** if you don't see good pics and reviews within 10 months or so old, DONT DO IT! I can imagine the locals are helping to keep this place alive...

The first course was complimentary breads with olive tapenade. The breads were so rustic and delicious. The olive tapenade was a great dipping sauce. For appetizer, I got fried calamari. It was a modern Italian twist. The fried calamari was so tender. It had light breading. It was fried together with olives, sun dried tomatoes, sliced shiitake mushrooms and some basils. It was so good that I kept eating it. For entrees, I got the bone-in CAB ribeye. It was cooked medium rare. The steak was juicy, tender and had a little bite to it. The asparagus was great in the dish. However, I was not too keen on crispy potatoes with Gorgonzola cheese. The cheese kinda made the potatoes a bit salty. I didn't enjoyed it at all. The beef short rib was another entree I tried as well. It was tender but the flavor was not deep and complex. Overall, the restaurant did a good job with the food. I would come back if I am ever in the area.

I don't drink anymore, so seeing a non alcoholic drink section was nice to see. I was made aware that the base of the Aplos was very herbal and tart. The first one brought to me was very tart. Very, very tart. I was not a fan, my dad was going to drink it, our waitress: Deja noticed and offered to have it remade. I accepted, the bartender came out to drop it off and explained how she changed it up. She stood by me and waited until I tried it. A bit much, it was better. The tartness was only at the end for a brief moment. They didn't have a specific gluten free menu, but Deja did tell us what was naturally gluten free and/or could be modified. A lot of the food is made in house. A lot of it looked appealing, but they had gluten free noodles that were not made in house. So I went with a trusted filet mignon cooked medium. The demi glace was an excellent touch. The potatoes were pretty good. The broccolini wasn't what I was hoping for. My parents dishes were much larger. Leftovers were had and enjoyed on a second day. I would maybe try the short ribs next time we would go. The building is very rustic and decorative. The bathroom is upstairs; an elevator is present is needed. A very interesting place. Staff and kitchen very accommodating. The prices are high for the amount you're given. Would love some in house pasta that is gluten free with an in house sauce. I was there primarily for the company. Not my favorite spot. I would be willing to go again.

The hostess greeted us warmly and kindly walked us to our table. Our server, Cam, was excellent--very polite, attentive, and a great communicator throughout the evening. We started with three appetizers: the baked brie with poached pear, bang bang shrimp, and the French onion soup. All three were delicious and well seasoned. The baked brie with poached pear was especially amazing, and the French onion soup had wonderful flavor. For drinks, we tried the basil lemonade mocktail and white chocolate martinis. The martinis were fantastic--rich, chocolatey, and delicious. The mocktail was refreshing but could have used a little more flavor. For our entrées, I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the beer-battered cod special. His fish was perfectly seasoned and the batter was crispy and delicious. My seafood pasta initially came out a little dry and needed more sauce. When we let Cam know, he immediately communicated with the kitchen and they brought out a freshly made sauce right away, which made the dish much more flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere was great and the entire staff seemed friendly and professional. Overall, we had a really nice date night and appreciated the attentive service. We'll definitely be back again soon! I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary.
