I've been seeing a lot of co-workers and friends order Bubbakoo's Burritos and knew that I had try. I particularly excited when I saw online that they had a Caesar salad wrap with chicken. That is always a favorite, and must order of mine. Service was ok but it was hard to order due to a language barrier and this location not having the Caesar wrap on their menu in person. However, the guys working were more than accommodating! The store was clean and filled with so much yummy smells in the air. The wrap was good! The big pita chips in it were definitely a highlight for me and the dressing was creamy and sweet. This mixed perfectly with the saltiness and spice of the grilled chicken. This place needs new management or something. I've only been twice and both times a poor experience. First time I ordered something off the menu, and the employee prepared it incorrectly. I didn't make any adjustments or anything, they just didn't know how to make it properly I guess... Second time was Cinco de Mayo. I waited 15 minutes in line before someone took my order, and I was first on line! Behind me were 10-15 people waiting as well, while all the workers seemed to be preparing a catering order. People actually walked out of line cause nothing was moving. Shouldn't the manager be handling this scheduling problem, especially on Cinco de Mayo of all days? I totally passed this spot as I was thinking hmm "what should I eat for lunch" so after my errand run I circled back. I had looked the establishment up on my phone while I stood in the store where I ran my errand. The website, presentation and food items got me excited. There were sufficient options and I initially did not know what to get, but based on the menu I buckled down and chose to get the advertised Crispy Cheese Birria Tacos. I'm not really a beef eater, but the "birria tacos" have been a movement lately and I wanted to try them and see what they were all about. Upon arrival to the store it was pretty neat, I won't add clean because there was no one in there at the time but clearly people had been and the tables could have been wiped clean of food remnants (removed one star). The young lady behind the counter was apparently new, but that's okay because so was I, everyone deserves a start somewhere. I had picked and priced out 2 items, the tacos and their Quesorito which was listed at this location under "wallet friendly" as $6.99. The young lady needed to refer to another young lady behind the counter to assist with making my order. My daughter called me and I added in the Buffalo Ranch Crispy Chicken Quesadilla. When being rung up my what I thought was a $6.99 Quesorito came up to $13.28, it was entered in as a burrito and I was not made aware that the queso for the "quesorito" was an additional charge of $2.79. When I questioned it, you would think they would take "the customers always right" position and charge me the price quoted on the website. They did not, she just stated that the prices online are different than the ones in store, I asked even when putting in the specific location and she responded yes. I signed up for their rewards program since they are local and I just paid for what was rung up, still feeling a little duped though that's why I took the 2 stars off for service. Walked in there wasn't a line so I was helped relatively quickly. I ordered two tacos which is one of their value deals at $8.99, birria quesadilla which I believe was 12.99, and curly fries. The curly fries were fried to order only thing I just wished they were hit with a little salt. The quesadilla had a good ration of meat to tortilla and cheese. So I've been twice already and they just opened Friday. If that's any inclination, this will be a new go-to for me. The location is off red run blvd and Dolfield road, in an area undergoing excited redevelopment. Of course the food was hot and fresh, and the space was clean and inviting since it's brand new, but it was also delicious. Their menu is huge so it's going to take some time to work through it. The service was excellent both times - new excited staff are eager to serve you. Keep that energy! I will say that the prices are a bit higher than anticipated in comparison to your chipotle or Qdoba; however, the portions are equitable or greater and you have so many protein and sauce options to choose from. Who doesn't want hibachi shrimp in their burrito? I highly recommend saucing the shrimp in boom boom sauce. read more

Update to respond to the owner's response: Train your staff to communicate with each other. I told three different employees that I ordered a side of curly fries with my entree. Each time I repeated myself, they just looked down the line and didn't communicate this to anyone cooking. When it was finally communicated, they rushed to fulfill the request resulting in under cooked food. ----- I decided to try OM'slatest rapidly established restaurant. The concept is unique but it's poorly executed. The staff has not been fully trained, and it's very evident in the their lack of communication. The food is your standard, run of the mill cheap cafeteria food that's a step between fast food and a more established brand like Chipotle. Under proteins there were lots of options including "veggie/guac" so I ordered the burrito as a veggie. I asked if it came with guac and I was told it was "extra". Not sure why they have a listing saying veggie/guac if the veggie doesn't come with any added veggies or guac but oh well I'll enjoy the air I guess. This place is like Qdoba and Chipotle but with more variety. More a range of sauces and entrees to choose from. I still go with a burrito each time and love the Chipotle Crema. I usually order for pickup but the times I've gone through the line to order, the staff have been helpful, cheery, and articulate like they actually enjoy what they're doing. Everyone was very attentive and eager to help. After checking the menu, this is different from your normal Chipotle. Bubbakoo has a interest twist to your normal burritos and bowl, plus they have wings and French fries! I tried they quesadilla, burritos and special silly Philly burrito /wrap. Each items was more than enough, the burrito was so huge, quesadilla was full of meat and cheese, and silly Philly loaded with quest cheese was amazing. This was the first of many visits.
