My daughters and I went to BubbaLu's on 7.21.2025 mostly because it was the nearest place for a restroom for my oldest... She'd probably kill me if she was on Yelp, but she's not and this is funny now... We were in the middle of shopping at a nearby boutique when she ran up to me with this super ultra mean mad pre-teen attitude because she needed to go to the restroom really bad. Of course the boutique did not have a public restroom then she got frantic and pissy so I hollered at her sister "Hey, we gotta go. We'll come back." We rush into BubbaLu's where a very friendly cashier welcomes us. My pain in the rear oldest heads straight to the lone restroom which was luckily available. I felt like I finally took a breath in that moment. Lol. My other daughter and I hop in line which was to the door. I snap a photo of menu. Text it to the restroom kid and ask if she's okay and to choose something for lunch. After receiving a ton of thank you-like emojis from her I get an answer and we finally get to order. It was high stress - because I really felt bad for my kiddo - but it was funny and lucky all at once. This was unexpectedly a cool place with family photos and other memorabilia on the walls. We sat at the counter in front of the meal prep station and grills. + Super Classy Dog $6.50 (my oldest said it hit the spot) + Chicken Salad Melt $6.50 (This was my choosing and I absolutely loved it.) + Kid Cheeseburger $7.00 (my youngest ate all of hers and I tried some of her fries, which were really good... frozen variety, but still good!) There were so many friendly folks in this place including the 3 employees. No where at the top of my list or even in my Yelp bookmarks was BubbaLu's, but sometimes "stuff" happens and you get a win. Your search is over. I can say with absolute certainty--no hesitation, no reservations--that I am a burger expert. I don't just enjoy them; I revere them. I seek out the best of the best, devouring at least three a week, always on the hunt for the next great bite. And here it is. I have never had a burger that nails every single element so perfectly. The bun and the beef are in flawless harmony. The pickle and tomato complement each other in ways I didn't know were possible. And the cheese? It's the final, glorious touch that ties it all together. This burger has taken up permanent residence in my mind, a testament to what BubbaLu's is doing. I had it once and immediately had to have it again before heading home. I've already had serious discussions about making a day trip just to get another. (Side note: Everything from the fries to the chicken salad sandwich is a slam dunk--but the burger? The burger is something else entirely.) There is no better burger in Hot Springs. There is no better burger in Arkansas. And, honestly? There might not be a better burger in the United States.

Ordered the $6 burger and $4 fries. The fries were easily big enough to share with a friend, maybe 2! The chocolate milkshake was great. The burger was made to order. The place looks like a cute little diner. Order at the counter and have a seat. The food was done and quickly brought to the table. Highly recommend for a quick, good and economical meal!

BubbaLus: A Hot Springs Classic We highly recommend stopping at BubbaLus in Hot Springs! It's such a cute and retro shop, and we loved that you can watch them make your food right there at the counter. We both ordered the Super Classy Dog and a Chocolate Malt with a side of fries. Be warned: the portions here are absolutely huge! We were stuffed, but everything was fantastic. The service was great as well! The chocolate malt was solid. I usually prefer a really thick, extra-malty drink, but I wasn't upset with this one at all--it hit the spot! If you're looking for great food, big portions, and a fun, throwback atmosphere, check out BubbaLus.

The prices here were pretty reasonable. You order at the bar when you walk in and they give you a number for your table. The place was hopping but the line moved fast. We found a seat at the window for the two of us but would have struggled if there were more of us. I got a chicken salad sandwich and my daughter has a grilled cheese with fries. The chicken salad was a generous portion. The chicken salad was a little dry but made up for it with the extra mayo on the bread. I thought the pickles on it were kind of odd, but they added a little saltiness. My daughter said the grilled cheese was fine. I tried the fries after eating my sandwich. They were just okay. They were cold by may have been better hot.

We stopped here for lunch after hiking and I LOVED this place. It is counter service so you order then take your seat. It is a very no fuss diner but I found the service and quick food to be awesome. The service staff were LOVELY! They were very friendly and attentive. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and joking with the staff. Our food arrived fast and was very tasty. I got the cheese fries which were delicious. The veggie burger is a standard black bean burger. Coke float with blue bell ice cream was delicious! This place is also dog friendly which we were pleasantly surprised by. The restrooms here have a changing table for baby needs.

Fun place to stop by for lunch when visiting Hot Springs. It has a small town diner feel with classic American food. They have great prices and do not skimp on serving size making them great for large families. They are also pet friendly. The owner is exceptionally kind. We look forward to visiting again next time we are in the area! read more

Its OK, no flavor. I am a cheeseburger connoisseur and know a good one when I taste it. I sat and watched them make the food and didn't see any seasoning in sight. I felt it may have been OK because the beef looked like fresh quality meat and may have been the exception to the rule, no, please use seasoning. I was excited when I saw the buns on the grill, because I like my buns to be grilled. When I bit Into the burger it tasted like it was never on there. What happened? The fries were on POINT! Best part of the meal and shareable. I would advise to share unless you are greedy. I would skip this, unless you like being part of the in crowd. The only reason I came is because I was with a group and was getting overwhelmed with food options, looked up and there it was. read more

We were in Hot Springs on the Fourth of July with a small group including a baby and a toddler. Bubbalu's offered a fabulous meal, perfect for us. The burgers were amazing. Some of the best I'd had in awhile--and I know good burgers. The onion rings were perfect. But the service was over the top. The owner and his wife brought us ice cream for the kids--really everyone--as a Fourth of July treat. Bubbalu's is a must if in Hot Springs. read more

We popped in here on St. Patrick's Day. The staff, maybe owners, were so friendly. Even though it was super crowded because of the day, they got food out quickly and with a kind attitude. The burgers were delicious! The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the menu is pretty limited. The toppings they did have were very good though! Great job, and great place! (Not a lot of seating available, but everything moves quickly). read more

My husband and I both had the "Cry Baby" burger with serrano and habanero peppers! Delicious burger and very hot! Fries were nice and crispy and to top it off the workers were very friendly and cool! Love this place five stars all the way! read more

This was a nice little lunch spot during our Hot Springs vacation. Social distancing was basically non-existent and most people did not bother with masks unfortunately, but the burgers and fries were really good and I really loved my chicken sandwich. The staff were great and very quick to clean tables and get people in and out. If you aren't too squeamish about covid fears, it's a great place to go while checking out bathhouse row. read more

Best burger in Hot Springs! I ordered a regular burger & a double cheeseburger with fries. I loved the quality & thickness of the meat and I can't leave out the delicious sour dough bun. When I'm craving a burger, this is exactly what I want (not some thin fast-food patty). I ordered pick-up and had great service as well. read more

Visiting from out of town, we stopped here to get a burger and hotdog. Crispy hot salty fries. Juicy, tender and perfectly cooked burger from high quality beef. The hotdog was frickin amazing too, btw. We were in Hot Springs for two days and ate here twice for lunch! The service was above and beyond! Do yourself a favor and stop and eat here! read more

The best burgers we've had in a long time. It's a true homemade hamburger!! The staff, the sweet cook, was very informative about the area and is a heck of a cook!! Loved the way the fries are served in a spiral holder and wax paper. This place is like the 1950's diner. read more

I have strolled by on my yearly visits for the last 8 years and actually never noticed this place. If my bride had not been Jonesing for a burger I might still have never noticed the joint. The grill is right in front of your face. It's very clean, no secrets behind closed doors. The burgers are basic....toasted bun, meat with little seasoning and veggies, but it works. I'll return again just to chat with the owner, he was just so damn friendly while his bride flipped the burgers. read more

I love a good burger. I saw this place was well reviewed, so I thought, it makes zero sense not to try BubbaLu's. I went with the Classic Americana- burger, fries, shake. I finished the meal and was satisfied. Burger is solid, fries were decent, and the shake was good. It's crazy how many places mess up a burger, and BubbaLu's did not. Wasn't quite a 5-Star burger but deserves a solid 4. read more

Great food, great service! When you walk in you look at the menu, walk to register and order your food. You then try to find a table or a seat at the counter, as it is extremely crowded. Once you hear your name called raise your hand and bam great food. Will definitely visit again when we come back to Hot Springs. read more

It use to be better when the previous owners were there. They were a little older so they probably retired. The food was the same as when they first opened....which is good. Service was fine as well. It just seems that most of the employees seemed that they didn't want to be there. All employees should be dressed alike....bring back the team spirit! Guy running the cashier was wearing whatever he wanted to wear including head phones. It's just not being managed very well. read more

It would've been 4 stars because the food was yummy and everyone was nice, except for the bus boy that came to our table multiple times bugging us pretty much pushing us out of the door when were just chilling for a minute or two using the restroom and gathering our things and figuring out where we're going next. Made us feel rushed and he wasn't friendly at all read more

Being 2 30 plus years restaurant operators, we ate lunch here 3 days in a row! That's saying something! Great burgers, hotdogs and fries! Even the Coke tasted great! Spoke to the owners on the third day. Would definitely recommend to everyone!!! We will stop in every time we come back!!! read more

Can't say much about food, couldn't try cause place closed at 4pm 5 nites while I was there and I had to work til 5like a normal person. Guess they think people don't get hungry later, they lost my business Uggghhhh, update to review... returned on a Fri months later when they were supposed to be open until 7pm. Guess what, they were closed again, this time until 2/8 for winter break. At least post something so yelp user aren't constantly disappointed. This place is a joke, hope they at least don't use last yrs food when they reopen. Wonder if they are ever open, been here 3 times over past yr and still not even seen a hot dog. Worst place ever when it comes to customer awareness!!! read more

Walked in after a morning hike for lunch. The burger I had was pretty good. Not fancy but just a quality hamburger the onion rings were really good. My wife and daughter both ordered the polish sausages with chili. Great service to top off the meal. read more

It's not much to look at, but the food was good as was the service. I had a cheese burger that was cooked just right and the fries were delish! The milk shake was a little rich (chocolate) for my taste, but it was all good. You order at the counter and they bring you your food - this was the only con. I really prefer table service, but I'd go again if we were in the area. Good food - good prices! read more

Love the atmosphere. They have a bar to sit at, or a few tables in the back. There's nothing extra fancy about the restaurant. I loved that they cook your food when you order it, and the kitchen is there right in the middle to see. The kids working were friendly and helpful. We all ordered a burger. They were quite big and cooked perfectly. The sourdough bun was great. They cooked the fries when we ordered them so they were nice and hot when they served them. We got them at the end of the day, and I'm surprised they don't stay open later than 5, but we're happy we made it to try them out while we were in town. read more

Great food,and great price. I ordered the double with bacon for my self and the si gel patty for my wife and both tasted great. The kids burgers are the same size as the single patty and come with a small fry, drink, and a frisbee ( like restaurants at Destin Fl). Restaurant was clean and restrained Even thought busy where very clean as well. read more

Crispy exterior that made our daily veggie intake that much more delicious. Paired very well with ranch. For main, I got Rose's Burger. The bacon jam provided a good amount of sweetness that was balanced by some of the spice from the pepperjack cheese and the savoriness of the burger itself. My mom got the reuben sandwhich. It was standard. My dad got the steak sandwich - it's basically a philly cheese. I thought it was particularly good especially since they use beer cheese made in-house. Yummy! Maybe a little small to share, but time will tell if we get hungry later. I also had a John Dillinger Gin Fizz. Cortney W took care of us and said we ordered well. The burger was fine but nothing to write home about. The soda was weak on syrup (trust me I've tried plenty of fountain drinks) but the soda part was the proper bubbly. We will stop again for a seasoned fry and a different sandwich, also a shake or ice cream. Support local!

We got the medium fungal jungle pizza with a side of hot honey to share with 2 adults and a pizza loving toddler, which was just enough for our family. My husband also tried their beer flight and truly enjoyed it. I just loved the mini glasses it came in. Overall great atmosphere and a good time!

First time in Hot Springs and wandered into BubbaLu's. So glad we did! We had two burgers, fries, and at the recommendation of the new Owner, Ginger, a basket of onion rings. She was right--they were delicious! I wanted my burger in a lettuce wrap, which they nicely accommodated. My burger was so juicy and delicious--I think I used 10 napkins!
