My favorite server was Nicole and that she has left the service has continued to decline. I went in the other morning and the entire restaurant was full. No hostess and only 2 servers. The servers were running around like chickens. A lot of dirty tables and obviously, no bussers to clear the tables. Ever since Bubba sold it, this place has gone down hill. I ordered a breakfast burrito with the potatoes, beans and salsa inside. And they sadly screwed that order up. No potatoes or salsa at all. When I complained to the server she said that the owner was in the kitchen and had made it! Wow! I have been in the service industry and there is no excuse for sloppiness in the kitchen. The server even showed me the ticket and that she has written it correctly. The owner can't even read a ticket correctly. Regrettably, they have lost a 17 year customer. I ate here 5-8-08. This looks like a typical coffee shop but it has a BBQ menu. I had the 6 rib dinner with fries and garlic bread. All of it was excellent. The ribs had a slight dry rub on them and were cooked without sauce. The sauce that comes on the side is slightly hot and sweet and very good. The fries have some kind of coating on them and they are crispy and tasty. The garlic bread is grilled on one side and excellent, especially considering it is just plain white bread slices. I don't know if the are other BBQ places in Yuma, this being my first stop here. I would return to Bubba's if I come back to Yuma. read more

Local BBQ Joint. I ate here last week. I ordered the rib and chicken dinner plate. I had half a rack of ribs and a quarter chicken with Fries. It was ok. The portion was insane large. I also tried their shredded pork sandwhich. The flavor wasn't there, it missed the mark. I had ordered the mac and cheese. They completely forgot about it. I go here a lot, FYI I've been in the bar/restaurant business my entire life. First, their glory days are behind them for their BBQ, but breakfast and lunch are still good, during the summer though you have to come before 3pm cause they adjust their hours. Service- you are seen right away, and they check in on you frequently, they have a good attitude, their friendly and that just makes it better. Food- breakfast is good, lunch is as well but improvements can be made, but you get your food fast, and you'll leave here full. Cleanliness- inside the dining area it's clean, but the bathrooms good be better. Overall, like I said I go here a lot, the atmosphere is good, it's never too loud, there plenty of seating, but they lack in the parking availability. I enjoy coming here and suggest this place to people. read more

I lived here for 25 years and finally came around with my family recently and I'm kind of glad I never went until now. I really enjoyed the old decor that obviously hasn't been updated since its opening. The plaques and items on the walls were fun to look at, the seats were comfortable and the wait staff was kind but that's mostly where it ends. I ordered the chorizo and eggs knowing full well that chorizo is oily but there was surprisingly no flavor on top of the oil. There was way too much cheese on top of everything and it just tasted a bit like a train wreck after a while. I swiped some of the country steak from my mother and it tasted like normal country steak so it isn't too amazing. I would come again for the service but not necessarily for the food or coffee (which wasn't that great either! :( ). Would def recommend if anyone wanted to step into an older diner though. Cannot give much more than 1 due to the fact we never got seated. Went in today, Valentines Day, with our family and were never even acknowledged. It became obvious, after 15 minutes, that they could not handle the crowd. The front staff were so busy arguing over toast and we were not willing to continue to watch this. Advice?: at least acknowledge the customers as they walk in and designate one person to care for them. Too many bosses and not enough employees. Sad. read more

I have only ever eaten her for breakfast, and that is never a disappointment!! I ALWAYS go in starving, and somehow ALWAYS walk out with a box of leftovers!!! This place is almost like the land that time forgot- it has a 'opened in the 50's' feel, but that is okay. It makes it charming. The Snowbirds know about this place, so it can be a bit busy. We have only had to wait for a table once though, and it was less than 10 minutes. Some of the servers are amazing- attentive but not hovering, and some are efficient but slow, and not warm. They are great to my kids, and the food is large portions and tasty!! Go for breakfast!!!!!! read more

They have the best fried fish and pulled pork barbecue! My husband and I love to eat there!

Went there for dinner a couple nights ago. My blood sugar was going low and so Judith ran into the back and got me something real quick. Service was great and food was pretty good. Waitress with long blonde hair was very sweet! Great service and I had to give my compliments to the cook. That country fried steak and gravy was JUST what I had been craving!! Fresh tasting, lots of flavor! I also loved the wooden wall panelling and the lanterns over each table. read more

I went here last Friday hoping to get some great bbq. What I ended up getting was pulled pork sanwhich with fries. Fries were soft and soggy. Now onto the pulled pork to me it seem old and hard. Left my plate pretty much all the way full. The waitress was nice other then that I won't be coming back. read more

As others have said, I go for breakfast instead of BBQ. Portions and service are really good, and they're open early. It's like a truck stop diner in the best sense; if you like that, you'll love this. read more

Typical 60 ' s diner food. I had the chicken fried steak and it was good. Not dry. The only thing I didn't like was the brown gravy on the mashed potatoes. Ask to have the country gravy on your potatoes. The salad was good and fresh. Husband and sister had the chicken fried chicken and said it was good and moist. read more

Horrible service. Went for breakfast and they only had 2 servers for the entire restaurant. No hostess, no cashier and no bussers. It was sit where every u want and wait. I ordered bacon and scrambled. eggs. Very simple breakfast but it was wrong. I didn't order sausage and eggs were over easy. Not scrambled. I sent it back and had to wait another 10 minutes. Food was good but server never came back and I got no drink refills either. Had to stand at the cash register to ask for my bill. I'll stick to Dennys's from now on. read more

Walked in and sat right down with my family of 6, it wasn't very busy. the hostess got our drink order, it took a while to get my wife and my drink, tgen another 5 min or so to get my kids drinks. 20 min later still no one took our order, my drink was gone and I highly doubt I was gonna get a refill any time soon. Stopped in for breakfast. Everyone, customers and staff were very nice and friendly. My server was awesome. Wish I could remember her name. Got the ham and cheese omelet breakfast special for $5.50. Came with home fries and toast. Order came quickly and was served piping hot. Food was delicious! I will definitely come back here again. read more

Excellent breakfast experience. I had biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage. My wife had the 3 Deuces ( 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes) and loved it. Very good food and service along with excellent prices. read more

where to begin, this place SUX!!! the only thing good about it was the service shame they have to make excuses for this place. they claim to be a BBQ place had no ribs, when i asked why they said the owner wont make any till the snowbirds come back, Really?? so i had the tarheeel their version of a pulled pork sandwich was aweful the mop sauce they use AKA hogwash was rancid and needed to be thrown away I could'ent eat it but i still had my fries right? negative tasted like the fryer oil had never been changed, my buddy had breakfast ham and cheese omlet and hashbrowns easy enough nope , omlet was burnt and cold not a little burnt i mean charcoal burnt and the hashbrowns had so much of the grill grease they use to cook them it has dripping off them he also left without eating his meal I almost forgot they where out of coke. I needed to use the restroom when I went into the mens room the stench of urine was so over powering i couldent take it. however we did get to listen to the cook talk to the waitress the whole time we were there dropping f bombs and using everyother cuss word there is, looked like he was covered in tatoos he got in prison. when we left while we were walking to our car we were commenting on how bad it was and a regular patron explained that it used to be a good place to eat till the current owner took over, and is pretty much never there exept for a few hours every morning. that explains alot.
