The best, super fresh and great staff. I am always amazed how great the food is. Scratch kitchen and healthy options. The staff are the best and the prices are good, just remember food prices have increased. My mom loves corn bread and she swears they have the best. Support local.

A Dallas staple! Great spot for fried chicken and brunch. The interior is reminiscent of a diner and very casual, you walk up to order the meal. We got the 2 piece meal that was around $12.99 and you get to pick the type of chicken pieces you want. You have to ask for gravy on the side, tastes great with chicken dipped in. The roll was amazing too, was moist and great flavor. They have a few sides that you can pick from, including fried okra, corn, coleslaw and fries. Fried chicken was moist and skin was crispy. Would definitely come back for a quick meal!

Have heard many good things about this place and finally decided to give it a try! Came early Saturday evening and there was a steady crowd coming in and out. Got the 2 piece chicken meal with mashed potatoes & gravy and green beans. The chicken was served hot and fried nicely. It was not overly salty but still flavorful. The sides for me were lacking. Neither the gravy or green beans had much flavor/seasoning. With a little salt and pepper they were just okay. If I were to come back I would just get chicken and find side elsewhere. My friend said the catfish was good! It is cooked to order. The inside feels like you've stepped back in time, I loved that they've kept the same decor but still very clean. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly! Greatly appreciated the woman who helped me order. She offered suggestions and also let me try one of the speciality sides before ordering. Parking can be a little tricky with the ongoing construction and other business around but I would definitely find a way to stop in!

Bubba's is fried chicken perfection. We used to live in the area and frequently make a stop here a classic diner experience. I now try grab an order if I'm in the area. I tried the catfish for the first time today and absolutely loved it! Heads up: drive - thru is currently closed as there's some road closures and major traffic backup off Hillcrest Rd and all around Snider Plaza. Give them a call to place a curbside order.

Came in for late lunch/early dinner after reading Yelp reviews. This is a counter service restaurant with food plated/trayed before you leave the counter. Guests get to specify which pieces of chicken they want. All four cuts of fried chicken were tasty. Okra and mashed potatoes were good. Corn and green beans were straight out of a can. Rolls were dense and served as a perfect delivery vehicle for honey and butter. The restaurant is older with a dinner vibe. Being between meal rushes, we dined while workers were doing mid day cleaning and restocking all around us.

This was one of the best visits I've had at Bubba's. Perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy fried chicken. Also had a delicious cinnamon roll. The wheat rolls were fantastic. For sides we had the green beans and coleslaw. Service was great. They help carry the food out to your table and clean the table for you after you leave. Expensive for fried chicken, but definitely delicious. Over time, I find that eating inside the restaurant you get better, fresher, and golden fried chicken vs drive-through; which I've been disappointed in at times. Note: temporarily almost 0 parking availability, because of the construction in the Snyder Plaza parking lot.

I think this is my last update. Why you ask? Because Bubbas Cooks Country is a victim of its own success. Last time I came by to drive thru, the line of cars was 10. So, I parked and started towards the door to order. That's when I noticed about 20 people in line. Yikes....I'm out. The first time I've ever passed on Bubbas . So,to help reduce over crowding,I will no longer update the well deserved decades long 4-5 star experience. Don't go ..haha

Loved the fried chicken so much!!! The breading was so crispy. The chicken was so flavorful! And loved the sides. The chicken fried steak was decent but not nearly as good as the fried chicken.

Ask the Community - Bubba's Cooks Country - Dallas

Recent celiac diagnosis in my family but still love Bubbas, do y'all have anything gluten free?

    Yes of course.

Can you get any of the food options from the Frisco menu (waffles, chicken and waffle) that are not on the Dallas menu?

    No. Frisco isn't Dallas.

    Does Bubba's deliver?

Bubba's does not currently offer any delivery options. However, you can call them on the phone at 214-373-6527, place an order, and then pick it up for take out. This is recommended as sometimes the restaurant has long lines and can be quite busy.…

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.
