This had a lot more flavor than what we expected and the homemade chips made it the perfect appetizer. 10/10 Rainbow Sushi Roll - this was also great. The roll tasted fresh, but it is on the spicer side so don't order unless you can handle some heat. 9/10 ***Entrees:*** I got the Beverly salad and subbed my shrimp for seared ahi. According to our waitress, she said the receipt would reflect the Seared Tuna salad since there is an upcharge for the substitution but the food came out just like I ordered. My salad was fresh, bright and didn't leave me feeling heavy. 10/10 My cousin ordered the Maple Salmon. I believe the waitress said they now use gochujang sauce instead of maple. My cousin really enjoyed her meal and said she would definitely order it again. 10/10 The bachelorette ordered the steak frites, she ordered it to be cooked medium but it came out a bit more rare than she preferred. We stopped by Hudson house for an early dinner on Memorial Day before my flight and enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The restaurant is so pretty inside and the prices are good. Next time I'll be sitting at the bar during happy hour to enjoy the specials! We split a cheeseburger and Hudson salad (which was huge) and it was delicious. I could've been totally fine with just the salad! I got spicy popcorn chicken on top and the flavor of those were amazing. This salad could've been amazing. There was a weird overbearing sour taste and I was told they marinate the tomatoes in some type of vinaigrette after I ordered it and started to eat it. It didn't say anything on the menu. It's confusing because they give you a different dressing. If you order this get it without the marinated tomatoes. Having eaten here previously it's always consistent, offers excellent service, tasty dishes and an entertaining crowd We started with the shrimp dynamite , tempura battered shrimp with a sweet/spicy glaze. I love Hudson House. This is one of my absolute top picks for happy hour (weekdays 3-6pm). Outside of happy hour, this drops to a 4*. You do have to find a seat at the bar and it can be a bit busy but I assure you that it's well worth it. My favorite is the two seats at the end on the right hand side where you're sitting in your own corner and not elevated. Start with the frozen Bellini. It never fails me and it certainly packs a punch. The cheeseburger went up from $10 to $11 but you absolutely cannot beat that price. Absolutely a perfect well-balanced burger. I'm not a pickle fan but it does come with a huge, seasoned pickle. Do yourself a favor and get the truffle parm fries. Maybe oysters and a burger are a weird combo but it somehow works here. They have all the fixings to pair. First time for brunch here. Service fantastic as always. I got the Bloody Mary and the lobster Benedict. I normally don't go for bloody Mary's but I thought with how good their martinis are the Bloody Mary here could be really good too. And I was not wrong. It had the perfect amount of spice for me and the flavor was spot on. The lobster benedict was delicious too. Sometime when you get a lobster dish, they put a tiny amount of lobster on there. The oysters, burger, truffle fries and Hudson salad are our among our favs. I love the ambiance, it's casual, yet classy and makes you feel very warm and welcolmed. The staff has been amazing everytime we go here and we love leaving a nice tip in appreciation for their great service. What a wonderful Sunday lunch. We started with the sushi (not pictured) the Golden Rollin removed the cream cheese honestly recommend. Having it without the cream cheese made me feel like it was perfect. I don't know what the cream cheese would've added. I loved the old school jams on a Sunday especially after church. Our waitress had many suggestions for our drink, but I'm a 'tini girl, so I stuck with my happy hour 1/2 price extra dirty martini w/ Bleu cheese olives. I ordered the fresh happy hour Oysters that came with cocktail sauce a cranberry mignonette. When I say amazing, I mean "Ah-mazing" I did not believe that I could eat all of them, but I slammed them down! They are $3 during happy hour, but there is a minimum of 6 to order. I also ordered the $10 happy hour burger. My friend ordered the truffle parm fries and the $10 happy hour burger. I cannot say enough about this place. Everything was so delicious! The food is fine, but not spectacular, and way overpriced for what you get. We had 2 orders of eggs Benedict, an egg sandwich, a burger and fries, and 3 diet cokes for around $100 before tip. The real kicker, no price for the soft drinks on the menu, guess I should have asked. They brought out 3 , 8 oz bottles of Diet Coke, and charged $5.00 per bottle. That is ridiculous. Can I just say that this place is so amazing and makes you feel like you are in another century somewhere near Savanah, GA. The professionalism, the crispness of the uniforms, just wow! We went for happy hour to indulge in their famous cheeseburger for $10, and the discounted selected cocktails. I opted for the French 75 and it was delicious! Strong, subtle, cold, perfect. I ordered the French Chicken which is served with a beautiful silky sauce, French fries, and a peppery arugula salad. The chicken is so succulent and juicy, chef's kiss! To finish it off, we ended with the key lime pie which was insanely delicious! Again, masterfully balanced sweet and tart, and the homemade cream on top needs to be for sale!! If it wasn't so rude and inappropriate I would've licked the plate!
