Worst bubble tea place I've been to. I travel for a living so I've been to many places and always have to me a bubble tea fixing. So I decided to give this a try. First, I was not greeted which most tea places do. Second, it took a couple minutes until I was waited on, and there wasn't even a line. Only one girl working which I never see in other places. Plus, she wasn't friendly either. I almost left but thought I'd give it a try since there were customers enjoying their teas. Prices were fairly cheap. So I ordered a raspberry bubble tea. But the girl asked if I wanted a watery or thicker consistency, I replied with thicker which Im used to always getting. So I was charged a smoothie price bc of my preference. Then I observed her making it and realize they don't use fresh fruit which is a huge disappointment. I'm assuming she used powder for mine bc I could still taste the powder which drinking i Yuck!! And the bobas had no flavor! Very plain and weird texture too. I really tried to consume it but after like 4 sips, I couldn't do it anymore. I'm kinda disappointed that this place is probably the worst food business I've ever experienced because its so easily accessible. Their drinks are not horrible but not the greatest. Im giving this place 1 or ZERO stars because the customer service is just the worst. I came in with a friend and the girl at the register was busy balancing it, so it looked. She didn't look at us once and asked what we wanted. I asked if we could have a second, then when we decided I said ok were ready. Again didn't acknowledge us so i just blurted out my order. She finally was looking at us and then I asked if the drink I wanted could be blended instead of iced. She then ROLLED HER EYES AT ME and said I guess. I was so taken aback that I just didn't say anything. Then my friend order his drink and asked for a JUMBO size clearly. When we picked up our drinks by a gentleman we let him know that my friends drink was supposed to be a JUMBO. He then said ok politely and said it would cost 40 cents more. My friend said ok thats what he wanted. The guy then looked at the girl and the girl rudely said he didn't ask for that and rolled her eyes again and walked away. I've been a regular at Bubble Tea for about 7 years now, if not longer. James (the owner) and his wife used to see me on a daily basis while I went to college in the area. He would always greet me with a "Hey Jo Jo!" Plus having multiple pictures plastered on the wall in the collages, you know I practically lived there in my college years. Haven't been able to frequent Bubble Tea as often now being a working mommy, but have carried the boba tradition on with my children. I love the honey milk tea with boba, thai tea ice cream shake with boba and my kids' fave is the taro milk smoothie, yes, with boba. Both of my boys have been boba addicts starting at the age of 2... must run in the blood. he he. The only reason I didn't give Bubble Tea the full 5-star rating is the pricing. Lately, every time I go there's someone new working in the front desk and making the drinks. I do believe the lack of experience making the drinks make a difference in the flavor of some drinks. Last night I ordered the same drink that I been ordering for the past year and this new girl did not drain the boba, but instead scooped out a spoon with boba and tons of sugar (the sugar that you're suppose to boil the boba so it's chewy and sweet). I truly tried to enjoy my drink, but I couldn't. I went back with this nice new employee and I told her that my drink was too sweet and I couldn't really drink it. The owner came and said that they make it the same, but I have been coming to this place for years and I know my boba drinks heehee. I didn't want to embarrassed the new girl by telling the owner that I know how boba is cooked and that I saw how much sugar she added to my drink. The owner just told the new employee to add more slushy to my cup, but my drink was just not the same, neither the customer service that they use to have...and to think that this is the place where I sometimes invite my friends to come and hangout. This a family owned business, one can tell. Their restaurant isn't very attractive or appealing, but their boba is great! I go here all the time with my boyfriend and our boba always comes our perfectly blended with a decent amount of boba. They also have some food on the menu, which I'm scared to try to be honest, but my boyfriend claims it's actually pretty tasty. The people who work here are so so friendly, even after dealing with all the high schoolers who bombard their shop after school. 2:30pm-4pm is definitely their busiest time. Anytime before or after that is usually pretty lax. The boba doesn't take them long to make and, again, it tastes amazing. Definitely going back to this location. I can't resist the boba! read more

I was at the grocery store next door and was surprised to notice that they are open late and boba tea sounded good. I ordered the milk tea, listed at $3.50 and the total was $4.20-something! Ok, 8 per cent sales tax does not add up like that. After quickly reviewing the menu to make sure I am not in error, I ask why. Boba is extra, is the answer. This is a boba tea place. Nowhere on the menu does it say to add for boba. It lists 25 cents for extra boba (implying than a standard amount would be included in the price already). Following this, on the menu, it lists "add jelly" for 50 cents -possibly this accounts for boba - but if this is the case, it is not real prominent, is strange to list it following extra boba, and if so, the change of terminology suddenly from "boba" to "jelly" is not clear or consistent. Besides even their menu says "no boba no fun", so boba should be part of tbe price, it would appear. I had no problem with the actual price, simply a problem with the price disclosure method. If my phone had not been in the car, a photo of the menu would be included, but other reviewer(s) have it, so this can be verified. Actual beverage: so so, but acceptable. Bland tea, bland and generic boba. I truly have had much better boba tea other places. The open late is the only positive attribute of this store. read more
