I love the boba here, it's affordable and tasty! Also the flavor selection is phenomenal...the only compaint I have is the employees. The owners are often there and are a treat to talk with, but the people they hire have like zero personality and I've encountered a few that are downright rude! Its like...is a "hi, welcome to boba tea" versus "what do you want" that difficult? How about a "thank you!" instead of a promethean grunt/scowl when you hand me my beverage. I'm a small business owner and if these were my employees I'd have them out on their head. Particularly the fat kid with the bowl hair cut, he is literally the worst. I ended up calling him out on it last time I was there, Its like buddy...your tip jar would collect more than dust if you'd attempt the most basic of human politeness. You don't have to like your job but you shouldn't show every customer that walks in the door just how much you hate it. Its the only reason I've giving it a three star versus a five. This is my favorite place for boba drinks! My 2 complaints with it though have been that my drinks have sometimes been inconsistent for better or worse and they charge if you want to use a credit card. I love the coconut/taro mixed snow smoothie or icecream shake. read more

I'm actually really sad to be updating my review RIGHT after I gave them 5 stars. As stated, I've been coming here for a long time... but it seems there's been a recent change of staff to include a gentleman whose name I didn't catch- I believe his friends referred to him as "Thomas" somewhere between their shouts. The loud chatting and yelling between the friends and the employee this evening made for an honestly bad time. I think he may have prepared the drinks we got, too- they were a lot more watered down than normal. I really hope this isn't the new normal for what used to be one of my favorite stores. read more

Only been here once, on a mission my bf and I went on for boba milk tea in north county, as the other places on yelp for Esco where closed at the time. I appreciate how late this one stays open on the weekend, which should be expected for a college town. This boba spot was pretty random. My friend and i just finished eating at Slaters 50/50 and we were in the mood for boba. So we found this place on yelp. The guy helping us was very nice. but as soon as we walked in it was very slow. So with that being said i didnt expect my order to be wrong. I specifically asked for a iced green tea with boba. I got a matcha ice blended green tea with boba. I didnt want to wait to get my order ready so i just drank it. and of course there was milk in it. but i didnt find that out till later -______-. this place is pretty far from where i live and i doubt ill be here again. I come here often. My 5+ photos on their wall prove it. Their boba drinks are good, but powdered. They make hot and cold drinks. Their popcorn chicken is probably the best I have ever. They also make other entrees. It is a shame the kitchen is not open around the clock though. The kitchen is open only if James or his wife (the owners) are there, usually. The other staff are nice. They have WiFi, a lot of aluminum seating, a sofa set, restroom and a few board games. read more

Used to stop by this place whenever I visit San Marcos clients. Still like the milk tea, the hot almond milk tea and the taro tea. The owners are from Taiwan (the birthplace of boba tea) so it's pretty good. It is sweet, but you can ask for less sugar. read more

I went here for my first time the passed weekend. I ordered a coffee milk tea latte and a coffee milk tea vanilla. They were just OK. A little too sweet for my liking. Annoyed with their hours which are listed on Yelp and Google search as 10:30am, but should be listed as 11am. I have driven out of my way twice to find the doors closed at 10:30. They also don't have an hour sign on the door so you can't just walk up and look (as I actually waited in my car for what I thought would be 15 minutes and ended up waiting 45). They dropped f bombs while I was in there and at one point the boy that helped me stopped making my order to come into the lobby and talk to his friends for a good two minutes. I would've given this place four stars if they have lower prices, but for the prices they charge, it isn't worth it. One main problem I have with this place is that they are not authentic. It is just one of those many bubble tea/boba places popping up all over the place and charging an exorbitant price for a mediocre product. I absolutely love this place!! I've been going here for nearly ten years, and their drinks are sooo good. When I was in high school, I literally went here every day for about three weeks and tried tons of different flavors. I got to know the owners, as they were working most evenings I went, and they definitely treat you like family. My personal favorite is lemon black tea with boba, but there are so many great options to choose from. They have teas, smoothies, ice cream shakes, and slushes. You can combined different flavors which is cool too. This is definitely a great place to chill out and cool down during a hot day in San Marcos. read more

I love this place. Mostly because they brew their Thai tea. Most places give you this awful powder stuff. The service is great and the there's a good variety of things to choose from. I was in yesterday and the girl that helped me was really passionate about the quality of tea she was going to serve me and even had me sample it cause she didn't make it herself and could tell the difference and just wanted to make sure I still liked it. I am torn about this place. I went here two weeks ago and it sucked. The bobas were old, hard, and just not very tasty. Was in the area again so I went in and wam bam it was good. I had the Green Apple the first time. The Mango icy version the second time. But it is the quality of those bobas that made it a miss the first time. We usually go to Tapioca Heaven in Mira Mesa, but here I decided to shorten my drive and considering that we live in Escondido this location seemed more convenient, unfortunately convenience doesn't guarantee quality. The service is always really friendly. The location is a bit hidden but easy to find with GPS. The boba drinks are always really good so far have tried 3 different flavors: Honeydew, Thai, & Pineapple. All really great tasting! Slush boba is my personal favorite on a hot day. My first time there... I went on a Saturday just before 10pm. The lady that took my order of 8 drinks was super nice, friendly, and patient (I couldn't make up my mind which one to order). I think she is probably the owner. Her recommendation of peach green tea was yummy. All our drinks were really delicious (taro, watermelon, matcha/green tea). Boba pearls were fresh and soft. I'd definitely go back. Not much choice up here in north San Diego area so pleasantly surprised. Side note: You can mix any flavor combo and decrease sweetness level for any drink. So I have to come to another new love of bubble tea. I haven't got to creative with the lychee or anything crazy. I typically just get the basic pineapple and strawberry type flavors. This place has its plus and minuses. Plus is it is open to midnight and the Boba and slush drinks are not bad by any means. When I cam in one worker was in the corner laughing a little too loud at youtube videos. The nice lady however was very helpful and ready to do what she can. You really need to avoid on weekdays after highschool gets out. This place gets slammed. Also the straws for the drinks sit unwrapped in a open jar.... they could at least get a bit more sanitary with them. Doesnt bother me too much but I know some people would prefer a different way. I really don't like the boba here. I've been spoiled by living and going to school in Riverside and this place has nothing on boba tea houses out there. The boba is plain, sometimes mushy and the drinks are just so so. I normally have to go with my back up Thai tea because who can mess that up? I legitimately am in love with Bubble Tea! Sometimes I even show up twice a week. The taro, chia tea and Thai tea ice cream shakes are the Bomb.com. I've filled up three of their stamp cards(if that doesn't tell you how much I love them, I don't know what will.) if they opened a store in Escondido, I'd be extremely overjoyed.
