There are so many new bubble tea places in the area it is so confusing which one actually taste better, but the thing is, this place really love leave an impression. I got the regular black milk tea and asked for 25% sugar and it was really good. The thing is that the black tea taste really shown through and it really did not need the extra sugar to make it more appealing. It was light as a drink, but strong in flavor. This was a good combination and what really stood out for me. The place is quite small so if there is a crowd, you can pretty much forget about sitting there as it is probably already taken. The parking lot is also quite small as the restaurant next door can be busy at times and this leaves you will slim pickings of when you can come here. Besides the hard times of getting here and finding parking and possibly having a seat in the store, the actual drinks - as it should be the main reason for coming here - does a really nice job of leaving an impression. I wish I had more room in my stomach to taste more flavors, but the classic black milk tea won this place for me. I will be coming back and I do wish to try more flavors as I keep coming here. Somewhat small and quaint , seating area and one unisex bathroom. Service was great! They were very informative and helpful, gave me a bag with napkins and straws with my two drinks. I ordered mango green tea and salted caramel milk tea. Both with boba. The boba itself was a little more on the bland side, seemed to not have been marinated in Honey/sugar syrup for too long. The drinks were pretty good and standard. You can sign up with a rewards program they have at the front and get points for free stuff like upgrades or drinks. Drinks here are over priced compared to the other competitors in the area. I know this location just opened, but they have to work on a lot of kinks. 4/5 of plastic seals on our cups were leaking, drinks took over 15 mins and some were still very powdery. Not sure if the equipment didn't shake the drinks enough. A large order here is smaller than other places, but yet they charge you about 10-20% more. You can drive 5 mins down the Pike and catch other bubble tea spots. Seating inside is limited. Don't expect to bring large groups here. This location is right next to A & J restaurant. Came right when it opened and there was only a 5 minute short wait for my two drinks and 2 sausages. The sausages (2 for 6$) were sweet, savory, and steaming hot. I was picking up A&J next door and saw that they have the silken tofu pudding dessert here which is one of my favorites so had to try it! They are not allowing guests inside yet so we ordered at the door and waited outside as they prepared. I got the cold silken tofu with taro and my husband got one with bubbles. The portion was pretty large and I really enjoyed the flavors! A few of the taro pieces were really hard so I would have liked it to be cooked a little longer, but other than that, I really enjoyed it. The syrup had a fresh sweet taste to it, although I didn't taste any ginger which usually gets added to the syrup in more traditional ones. There are so many places where you have to get this super sweet shaved snow tom foolery -- which is good every now and then, but sometimes you're just craving something different. Co-Vid Update: On my rare moment I went out to get some groceries, treated myself to my beloved Taro Milk Bubble Tea with real taro. So glad B&T is taking the virus seriously. There was a sign at the door to alert customers that all their staff was wearing mask & there was a bottle of hand sanitizer at the door. Standing area was closed off & instead a sign ask customers to either order online or order at the table. A staff stood a little distance away & took my order. I've been here a couple of times and it wasn't anything special and didn't compare to Kung Fu Tea, which is down the Pike, but this time around they made what I normally order at any Bubble Tea spot DIFFERENT! I'm a fan of Taro Milk Tea w/Pudding and Bubbles&Tea used ACTUAL Taro and not powdered Taro like almost all other bubble tea place. That's why I was confused when I first got my drink, because it wasn't the typical light purple, but kind of white, which is the color of an actual Taro! There were chunks of Taro in there and it tasted soooooo good! Most times Bubble tea places load their drinks with lots of sugar, but through the use of ACTUAL Taro it's natural sweetness was just enough and perfect! I normally order Taro with bubbles for my drink but I wanted to expand my horizons a little bit. You also have a choice of how sweet you want the drink to be and I was recommended 50% which tasted just right. I'm glad I stopped in after work one day because it wasn't as packed! The price is average like other bubble tea places. The only part I disliked about this whole experience is their location. I'll be back with an updated review, but the reason behind my 3 stars is because I was under the impression from Bubbles&Tea that all their milk teas did not contain actual milk. This is the case with their milk tea drinks. I am lactose so I ordered the Rose Latte (without knowing it actually contains REAL MILK, I was later told when I called back the store and spoke to someone else, who admitted it was a little confusing as well) I wish I did know this beforehand because obviously, the milk did not sit well for me all day afterwards. The bubbles were undercooked, making them hard to chew and plastic tasting in the middle. Someone told me they still looked raw when they looked into my drink. I can see that the bubble tea can be really sweet as well, so I'm glad I got it for less sugar. (Be sure to do so if you don't have a sweet tooth!) My boyfriend who got the tiramisu milk tea liked it, but it didn't really taste like tiramisu. Overall an okay experience but pretty pricey. I see the monin syrups and fresh ingredients and I'm intrigued as this seems to be a higher-end bubble tea shop. $5.50 for a large, I go with the rose latte (their specialty), add in some rainbow bubbles and it totals $6.38 w/tax. For about 4 people above me it took around 15min. To get my order. As this is fresh, premium drinks with real tea, it should be a longer wait for a better product, right? I was very tempted to go with the Earl grey tea as I love Earl grey, but rose is often rare and hard to get right. Far too little places in Maryland do rose right, and if I can find one.. I'm sold. Unfortunately, this rose latte didn't so it for me. First, let's talk about the rainbow bubbles, maybe 5:30pm is too late in the day, as these bubbles certainly aren't fresh. But seeing as they close at 10pm, they shouldn't be this hard. They have a honey taste and good flavor, so that definitely redeems itself. The drink is cold, not a hot late, mostly milk in flavor, small setback of rose in aftertaste, but definitely a syrup or sugar taste. Overall, the tea is just okay. It's not kick you in the face, the best tea ever. Given the price per cup, and the wait time to get a drink I'm giving this venue a 3 out of 5. I tried bubbles and tea a second time because the first time the male employee was very rude but the drink was great. I came back today and I will NEVER be coming back after seeing how they handle Covid. There were other customers in the store who were loud and wearing no mask, I could not even hear the cashier. I think it's very disappointing that their food and drinks are good but the service and the lack of care towards covid is evident. From my understanding customers are not allowed inside so I feel very upset that some are allowed in and are near the food being made, this made me feel very unsafe. DO NOT go to this establishment if you know someone at risk they're not responsible. The boba here is soft and nice. The grass jelly is also good. However, the tea quality is pretty mediocre. I tried the earl grey milk tea, the jasmine green milk tea, and 3Q milk tea. All were pretty watery. Not very flavorful as compared to the places I'm used to in Texas. Also not as sweet, but some people might prefer that. You can adjust the sweetness to 100% so if you do prefer a sweeter tea, there's that option. But nonetheless, the tea doesn't shine through. The classic Black Milk tea (75% sugar, 50% ice) is consistently top notch. They just added their Top 10 which is a nice touch for newbies because their menu can be quite intimidating. But FAIR WARNING - avoid the snow ice at ALL COSTS. After one bite of the strawberry ice (110% artificially flavored), I threw the entire thing out.
