THE RULES OF RE-HEATING…read more Say it with me: wings go in the *air fryer*. Being the parents of two kids under 4, my wife and I find ourselves warming meals endlessly. Some things are fine - and fastest - when nuked in the microwave, but that tends to dry up certain things like poultry and meats, plus firing up the oven takes too long. Solution? AIR FRY THAT ISH. Last night I grabbed carryout from this Wingstop on Route 53 in Bolingbrook, a location I've stopped at only 4-5 times over the years (compared to dozens of pickups at Buffalo Wild Wings). The parking lot is tiny, not to mention tricky to get in & out of. Their classic wings ($12 for a 6pc combo) are fine, nothing special. My wife thinks their garlic parmesan is better than Bdubs, and I prefer Wingstop's 'original hot' to that of the competition. The 5pc Cajun fried corn wheels ($0.80 upcharge w/combo) are a fun diversion from wings, albeit an equally messy endeavor. The crispy tenders ($10 for 3pc combo) were anything but crispy, and the mango habanero was lacking in flavor and quantity. Bdubs' mango habanero sets my hair on fire, yet the same sauce at Wingstop doesn't even make me flinch. The disparity between these two is absolutely NUTS! Fries were soggy, which I attribute more to the steam trapped within the Styrofoam clamshell, than the cheese sauce itself ($0.90 extra). I happen to like this natural fresh-cut style, but even I had to admit that this batch had nary a single crispy fry. Their fountain drink dispensers were totally wonky (both sweet tea AND pop) so neither of our 20oz sodas came out right. Lots of other Wingstops have a Coke Freestyle machine but for some reason this location is still using antiquated crap from the 90's that can't figure out the right syrup/CO2 mixture. Get with the times, yo! * TL;DR * An out-of-whack soda fountain, underwhelming fries, and uncharacteristically bland mango habanero equates to a modest failure. The Wingstop on Archer Ave in Bedford Park is an improvement in literally every way--fresh wings slathered in sauce, piping hot (yet still crispy) cheese fries, and a drink dispenser I don't want to beat the living sh*t out of. Now that I've finally written a review for this location, I can mosey on by in search of something better. Not recommending this one, nope.

11/22/25 update:…read more They moved some stuff around but it looks great. Same quality as last time. I ordered the Philly mix sandwich. It has steak and chicken. This is much better than the place by me (Mojo's). The portion size is huge. They give you a ton of meat, the bun is soft, and meat is tender. They have a lot of deals. Check on Yelp and inside the restaurant for all those bargains.

Service was a bit slow but there were only two people working so that wasn't a big deal. Food was…read moremade fresh and hot at the time of order. No complaints there. I got a gyro. The meat seemed a bit odd in texture from others I have had. Like it was double ground ? Didn't have the chew that I was used to. Tomatoes and onions were plentiful and the tzatziki sauce could have had a touch more cucumber flavor. The fries were great !! Husband got a gym shoe. *Be warned* this thing is HUGE !! Like served in a 9x13 pan with fries huge !!! This is a meal for at least two !! But it was very tasty !!! Kiddo got a double cheese burger that he inhaled. All meals came with yummy fries. No fountain drinks just bottles and cans. The only downside is all the condiments are in little packets. We are a family that loves ketchup on fries but didn't want to tear open a ton of little packets. Maybe a bottle or two of ketchup on the counter for eat in orders next time. And a a few extra napkins other than the one that comes in the plastic cutlery packet too. Your sammiches are juicy. We need more napkins !!

Surprisingly great taste for fast food place. Had some carry out of fried chicken wings. This time…read morewe came for the udon soup and bibimbap. My kid was thrilled with a little serving robot carrying our food over, who specifically mentioned to me that the beef udon was exactly what he wanted. My bibimbap was severed in a hot clay pot. The best one the a little browned up crispy rice on the bottom. Enjoyed it very much. Services were wonderful. Will visit again when craving the food.

I reallllllllly love Bonchon food. I do not like the atmosphere of the restaurant or the service…read more And yet, I return time and time again. That's gotta say something. Firstly, if you go here, do not leave without trying the fried chicken - that's not debatable. Other items that make me come back is the chicken katsu, Sotteok Sotteok and Bao Buns. They also have a Korean hot dog that's pretty decent with the soy garlic sauce. My favorite go-to is the chicken katsu, it's not the absolute best I've had but it's very close and this a hard dish to find. Grilled meat not as good as fried meat here. Beef is kinda tasteless. Sotteok Sotteok is chewy rice cakes and sausage if you've never tried it, it's like $4 - give it ago. Bringing me to my next point, this place is super affordable. If you're unfamiliar with Korean food this is an awesome place to experiment and try new things. To elaborate on my complaints, I must start with service here is very hit or miss. More than half of my visits the employees seem clueless about their responsibilities and very rarely come to check if you need anything. The little robot is cool, but you can't ask it for a refill or napkins. All is kind of funny, because you place your order at a counter so servers are really not responsible for much. Secondly, the restaurant is just so blah. Barely decorated walls, a really gross bathroom, corners/moldings are dirty. It gives hospital cafeteria, which is completely different than their hip, vibrant advertisements. All in all, I'm a fan for life but this place could use a little investment to step it up a notch.
