This is a nice spot for lunch on the weekdays, and one of our go-to's for when we want to sit outside on a nice day. They first won me over with their chicken salad sandwich, complete with apple butter. Seriously, who would have thought THAT would have tasted good? It is awesome! And the potato soup is delicious as well. The winner last time, however, was the steak and bleu cheese salad. Holy moly, that was a good salad. Probably not healthy, what with the steak and all, but hey, it may be my new favorite. Just one note - the service is never spectacular, just ok. So don't head here if you're in a rush. read more

A co-worker picked up a half-sized Cheyenne (buffalo-style) chicken salad for me, and I wish she hadn't bothered. The salad itself was smaller than most half salads. A few pieces of lettuce, some bacon, a ton of disgusting croutons, and mushy diced tomatoes. I've eaten there before, and last time I went the food was wonderful (pot pie), but the service was horrendous. We waited forever; it took over an hour and a half to eat lunch, which is ridiculous. Good food especially for a chain. Awesome atmosphere with the outdoor seating option. Live music was also a huge Plus! My toddler gobbled the chicken tenders which appeared to be hand breaded... Not to mention very succulent. I had the roast beef and it did not disappoint. Colleague enjoyed the hot brown and as a Louisville native (where the hot brown originated) it was decent. Went there on a Tuesday night with 5 other family members after a movie hoping to grab some tasty burgers before heading home! Unfortunately, we were ALL served stale tasteless burger buns. When our waiter, Dustin, asked how our meal was my grandmother spoke up about the stale burger buns. This is one of the blandest menus I've ever seen, service was slow, restaurant is far too big & busy to be considered romantic. Totally unmemorable experience, was so disappointed in the food and th ambience. Yes, it's by the water- so are much better restaurants like Mithchells Fish Market on the levee;; You'll like Buckheads if your ide of having a nice meal out is Applebees, TGIF, Ruby Tuesday or Bennigans. Came here on a beautiful Friday night with my boyfriend and his 6 year old. We asked to be seated outside, and they said it would be a short wait. Lies. 50 minutes later, we were finally seated outside, and we saw several open tables. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. And the view of the Cincinnati skyline was awesome. The only good aspects of our experience at Buckheads. The food was pretty horrible. I ordered the special (crab stuffed grouper), but I later found out they were out. So I got the chicken penne pasta with Alfredo sauce and a side of mixed veggies. The pasta was gross. Mushy, bland, and cold. The chicken was okay. And the veggies were overseasoned. The meal tasted as if I ordered a cheap frozen meal. My boyfriend ordered the salmon, which he said was okay. His son ordered chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese. He wouldn't eat the Mac, which says a lot. Believe it or not, I am not one to openly complain about food at restaurants. But I just couldn't hold back. I might come back to the outside bar for drinks and appetizers, but will not be back for a real meal. The food has really gone downhill. read more

I've been eating here for years. Wonderful view and, when the weather allows, a great deck right on the river. This is not a gourmet restaurant but it also is not overly expensive. Good basic food, decent service, convenient location all add up to a pretty satisfying dining experience. I especially like their Kentucky Hot Brown. Their burgers are good, house made chips are really good and I usually get them rather than fries. Their club sandwich is also really good. I've had their potpie and their fish and chips, both good. Best appetizer is the fried green tomatoes. My friend usually gets steak and has always been satisfied. Will definitely keep going back! read more

We went there for dinner. I ordered a drink they messed up and gave me a more expensive brand of alcohol. They did not charge me. I ordered steak fajitas. The fajitas came and it was steak and chicken. I said that I didn't order steak and chicken fajitas. They said its only $2.00 more and since we gave you a better liquor on your drink and didn't charge you than it washes. My coworker and I came here for a quick lunch a couple of weeks ago and were very disappointed. The server was not friendly, the wait for food was long and when it finally came it was cold. Like cold enough I could stick my finger in my sweet potato. I got the Hot Brown without bacon and half way through eating it I came across bacon. It looks like they started to add it and realized it was not suppose to be on it. When brought to the attention of the manager he acted like I was in the wrong because he "stood there and watched them make it because they messed up the first one." Well I'm pretty sure I know what bacon looks like and it was definitely bacon. They ended up discounting $4 off my meal, whatever. I don't anticipate I will be back anytime soon. read more

Had never been but always wanted to try it, so we popped in after church yesterday. Underwhelming to say the least. Seemed pretty dated and everything seemed to have a film of some sorts on it. My ribeye was tough (even though I ordered it medium) and bland. Salad was wilted and soggy from the tomatoes. Fries were lukewarm at best and soggy from sitting in steak juice. My guess is my food was ready first and sat for several minutes. Family got chicken tenders which were decent. Waitress seemed disappointed anytime she asked if we needed anything and we actually said yes. Waiter behind us constantly complained to his guests about the electronic ordering process and mistakes being made by the kitchen. Maybe it was a bad day for the restaurant but it just feels like everyone had given up somewhere along the way. read more

First, we have been here a few times before and our servers were nice and prompt. Upon coming there this past Sunday, we will never be back. We had a party of 5 that wanted to sit outside and look at the river, it was a beautiful day. The hostess took us outside to a table that was for 4. I explained to the fella that we had a party of 5, he said "I know", but still sat us at a table for 4. There were many other table choices to place us at, but still were placed at a table for 4. We asked if we could be moved and the hostess explained that we could not be moved because the other tables were for 6 people. Hmm, really. So we were supposed to cram 5 people at a table for 4, but you couldn't put 5 people at a table for 6? We asked to speak to the manager, which he did come over to us, with an attitude. He kept telling us "No", we could not sit at a larger table because we only had 5 people and we had to sit at the table for 4. The manager explained that this is their policy and if you have a party of 5 you HAVE to cram around a table that clearly is made for a party of 4. We got up and were clearly escorted out by the manager. I complained to the front hostess about the clear lack of professionalism from their manager and that we would never be back. Poor service and rude managers will be the downfall of this establishment. Bad news spreads faster than good news. We took our party of 5 and went to a local Italian eatery, spent our money and ended up very happy with our choice to leave. Corporate will be hearing from us. read more

Called to place an order and kept being put on hold then eventually hung up on. Finally placed an order and was told to be curbside in thirty minutes. Went to pick up the order and couldn't get anyone's attention. Kept calling into the restaurant with no positive response. I finally had to go in to get my order. Excuses, excuses, excuses. We're so busy, etc., etc. To top it off I got home and there were mistakes in the order. DON'T offer what you can't provide. read more

I've been here multiple times and normally really good food and atmosphere is great. I brought some great friends for a nice dinner and was delivered a frozen appetizer. How do you give me frozen "fried pickles" and then walk away??? Then when I wave the runner that brought the food, she looks at me then walks off never to return. The manager stopped over, nice guy Joe and apologized, but face it "sorry" isn't good enough when your bringing great friends out to dinner. I mean "sorry" is between shit and syphilis in the dictionary!!!! I hope they pay more attention to their food and not worry about herding folks in and out for more to come in. We went here for my birthday dinner. Food was okay. We had problems with our drink orders. Drinks were very weak. My sister was charged 1.50 for "on the rocks".
