Service tonight was the worst I've had at a restaurant in a long time. CJ barely paid attention to us as she was taking the order, so we should've known that the order would be wrong. I think we were just relieved that she finally took our order after 20 minutes. Took about another 30 minutes before we got the food so I wasn't about to send it back at that point even though it over cooked and wrong orders. I just wanted to eat my food and leave. This was a great place for burgers!!! I had the best mushroom Swiss burger ever. The mushrooms were so good they tasted like steak. The cheese was overflowing off the bun. It came with fries or side salad. My husband got the fries and they were the kind that looked crispy before you even bit into it. I got the side salad with the house Italian dressing. We had friends that tried this place last week and they raved about it. So we came in to it try it tonight. I had a Ruben and it was so very good. It was on this delicious, crispy, and super yummy bread, a delicious dressing and a nice thin, but large amount of corn beef. We asked for garlic fries and they tasted no different than the regular fries. Our friends that have been there before us said the garlic fries were completely different over the weekend. My wife got the Mac and cheese which she said was good, but not knock your socks off good. The waiter was sweet, but seemed awkward like he wasn't sure if we should be doted on or left alone so he kind of was back and forth all night. "You don't know me from Adam!" An old adage, but it doesn't apply here at Buco because Adam will get to know you by the time you leave! I visited Buco for lunch today after receiving an ad in the mail. Adam was manning the bar area and the floor which had 6 decent-sized tables and a large outdoor seating area. He was the only server, but took his time to greet, accommodate and captivate each guest. The food itself was delicious. I had the beet salad with shrimp added to it. The shrimp were AMAZING! Great texture and popped in my mouth. The salad, delicious as well. But, it wasn't just the food that made my visit so enjoyable, it was the charm of the server, Adam. He made us feel like we were guests in his home. My friend had the Ruben after I had told her about the rave reviews it had received on Yelp. Once the table next to us received their Ruben, she knew she had made the right menu choice! I stole a french fry off her plate and boy was it tasty with a touch of truffle essence! I'm pleased that Buco decided to make its home in Tequesta. I'm also excited to go back because this is one of those places where everything on the menu is dynamite. read more

My guess is that this is a simple place that does a decent job on sandwiches and pizzas. Ordered some entrees...the beef chimchurri ($21)....pls don't. It was a small piece of cheap tough chewy steak. Cooked way past medium rare. Also ordered the veal franchaise (also $21) which was better. But there was no parsley or other fresh component...so kinda felt like upscale diner food. We felt cheated for the price. Stick to sandwiches and pizzas and you'll prob be fine here. read more

Recommended by my brother-in-law who is a local. You know if the natives like it then it's good. Burger was handcrafted and really flavorful. Fish and chips was thick and solid, and the wings were tasty and crispy. Best part was the owner who was very welcoming and genuine. We had our baby son with us and everyone was so accommodating and we could tell they were happy to do so--not out of obligation. If you want a plastic tourist trap with mediocre food go elsewhere. If you want a local spot with amazing food and fabulous hospitality then come to Buco's! read more

Hmmm... so not quite sure what all the 5-star buzz is about... ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ ... We decided to give up our usual haunts in Jupiter and Tequesta and with a party of 8 give Buco a try last night based on the desire to try something new and the rave reviews left here on Yelp, but in the end have to say we were all left underwhelmed and unimpressed. The place was maybe 1/8 full, not strange for a Tuesday during season at 6:30, I guess. We started out with a wait to get menus that was quite lengthy despite the small crowd, but seemed like one person manning the tables so understandable. Not a HUGE deal, but no specials (despite another Yelp review I believe saying they "always" have specials), perhaps it was that "Tuesday" thing again. Server was friendly enough, but my radar picked up on perhaps a slight prickly irritation at our 2nd request for coasters to lodge under the table's legs as our high-top table on the patio was rocking heavily back and forth at the slightest touch, which despite our attempts to remedy remained doing so... moving on. We ordered the fried zucchini and calamari appetizers, were a little on the small size in portions in my opinion, and nothing spectacular, just "typical" tasting for each. A selection of cheeseburgers was ordered (at the recommendation of our server as a "can't go wrong"), as well as a veggie burger along with a grilled Italian sausage sandwich and the skirt steak chimichurri. The cheeseburgers were all way past the temperature requested (medium-rare's were gray/brown with not even the slightest hint of pink remaining in the middle), and they all had a distinct burnt (not grilled) taste like perhaps someone stepped away from the griddle for a minute too long yet still served them up, and strangely enough despite being overcooked were cool on the way to being cold when they finally arrived. (Yes there seemed quite an extended wait for the food to come out as well, despite the headcount in the restaurant). The "garlic" fries, which were crispy enough were also cool-to-cold and devoid of even the hint of garlic despite their moniker. The veggie burger was reported as being "ok, nothing special". The sausage sandwich was quite the perplexing little meal as it literally tasted of "nothing" and it was stated that the person eating it felt as if they were simply chewing on "unflavored matter" and decided not to continue after eating only half and a small portion of the Caesar side salad that accompanied as a side. The only saving meal of them all was the steak, which while was properly cooked and tasted of "steak", was accompanied by a sauce which once again claimed the moniker of a specific flavor, 'chimichurri', yet the person eating the steak said even though it's his favorite style, was most definitely not a sauce that resembled true traditional 'chimichurri'. All-in-all, we were disappointed, and sad to say we will not be returning. This restaurant spot in Tequesta has been so many different places over the years, and just never seems to have staying power. Perhaps we were just there on an "off" night, or a "Tuesday" and the five star reviews will continue to prevail, but last night, it was most definitely not pulling a 5, and honestly if 2 1/2 stars was an available rating, I'm sorry to say it would have been my rating of choice... give it a try, just perhaps not on a Tuesday...perhaps another day of the week will produce tastier results. If not, I'm fearful Buco will become another deceased "victim" on the long list for that doomed Tequesta restaurant location. In closing I wholeheartedly agree with another Yelp review for Buco, who cites "Come on guys, try your own food"! read more

I am a Tequesta/ Jupiter local. Finding a new GREAT restaurant that doesn't have a line out the door is hard to do. This restaurant is it. It has everything someone could want. Full bar? Done. Personal staff? Easy. Great food? No question. It's a intimate restaurant. However everyone is welcome. They have specials every night and happy hour from 11:30am-6:30pm. On Sunday's they have live music and wing specials. It is located in the Tequesta Publix plaza. An truthfully it won't be long until they start to have a line out the door. I give this a three but that is generous because the burger was decent. That said, the salad was about like a high school cafeteria. The calamari was the worst I've ever had. I asked when I placed the to go order if it was good and they assured me it was really good. I would imagine eating a fried rubber hose would have been more tender. Visiting from Minnesota and Buco happened to be nearby where we were staying so we thought we would give it a try. Absolutely fantastic experience with a cozy lunch feel. Service was great and Adam took the time to check in on us and get to know us a little better. I had a cheeseburger with fries and this was honestly one of the best burgers that I've ever had. Great burgers,fries, onion rings & salads. Even my 82 yo mother said "that was a really good salad" which means a lot coming from her. It was a rainy day so we sat at a booth near the bar. They have an outdoor patio which was empty due to the rain. Almost all the tables in the bar area (6) were occupied by 6:15 on a Tuesday. Our server Annie was pleasant and our orders were cooked as we requested, medium burgers and chicken that wasn't "over cooked". I had the garlic fries and my husband ordered the onion rings which he stated were "lightly battered and fried to a crisp perfection". My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at this little gem nestled in a shopping center in Tequesta. Everything we had was top quality, fresh and satisfying. We started with deep fried zucchini delivered with perfect timing. Hot, fresh, crisply battered, but light, thin slices, bursting with flavor. Side dipping sauce was so heavenly, and delicate...it seemed not to be of this world. The combo of both melted away in our mouths. I had the Cobb salad (my personal fav dish to use as a barometer at a new joint) and was blown away! Fresh fanned-out avocado atop the crisp, ice cold mesclun greens topped with a layering of chopped egg, sliced Nicoise olives, crispy bacon, diced vine ripened beefsteak tomato, cubed cheddar--PLUS the flank steak (added charge...of course!) which melted in my mouth with robust flavor. I requested the blue cheese dressing...and it came with abundant chunks of Stilton Blue. Perfect portion size for a dinner. My wife had a magnificent, eye-opening house salad, with a homemade dressing, which was served atop an ice-cold bowl. (Great job chef!!) Wifey also had the Mac 'n' Cheese. I couldn't believe how creamy, and tasty it was. Totally the best I ever had. I believe the server told us it was made with 4 or 5 different cheeses. Perfect blend of flavor, PLUS---it was baked to perfection. Crusty brown layer on top bursting with flavor. My only regret is that I didn't take a picture. I've never done that anywhere before, nor had the desire to do so--until now....my bad. We had to finish the experience with desert. We ordered cappuccino (they offer decaf) which was served steaming hot, and a Vesuvius cheesecake. Again---not of this world. Dense, NY style, topped with chocolate flourless chunks of ethereal dark chocolate. Besides the food, the music was so exceptional, along with the servers and manager Alex. 80's synth pop laid the perfect vail atop the setting of a clean, fresh, friendly table setting. We were singing and laughing the entire time. Sometimes music makes you do silly things...or can inspire a positive, uplifting experience--which it did. It sure beats hearing banging plates, pots and pans from an open kitchen. (Man--do I dislike that!) Well done Buco!!! read more

The newest gem in Tequesta! I had a nice cobb salad with a crab cake on top, very delicious and nicely presented. Adam, the bartender, was friendly and polite and I enjoyed my lunch at Buco Kitchen and Bar. It's a little pricey but it's more upscale than some of the other lunch options in the area so that's okay. I'll be coming back to try the rest of the menu soon. read more

Ordered the salmon with sautéed spinach, black beans, sun dried tomatoes and herb rice. The salmon had a good flavor, but it was slightly over cooked, so it was somewhat dry. The spinach was so fibrous and stringy it was difficult to eat, and was swimming in whatever it was cooked in. The rice had a great taste to it, but was also very fatty tasting (butter?). Not sure the beans and sun dried tomatoes were needed...with all the components, the dish seemed somewhat confused. Delicious new neighborhood restaurant! It has indoor seating and a very relaxing outdoor dining area. Good wine list. Well stocked bar. Attentive and pleasant staff - willingly changed the menu sandwich into a panini at my request - and it was yummy. The beet salad was fabulous - with marinated red peppers, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, red onions, avocado and light vinaigrette dressing!!
