The value and price of the product is fair and the lowest you will find in SoCal. The service is also amazing as every worker will walk up to you while browsing and ask if you have questions. Also workers do a great job with hospitality and make you feel welcomed by making small talk as long ad the store isn't super busy. They definitely got a little bit of everything here from Pokemon, Magic, and One Piece. Some graded cards on the wall not to horribly priced. Bought one Japanese pack of cards for $5. I have been in the TCG game for 6 years and NEVER have I experienced an interaction so gross and greedy. Leaving this store I was disgusted with the interaction and customer treatment. I came into their store ready to trade/sell my MegaDragoniteEX SIR. The employee looked at my card and said "I won't take the card because it's off centered, It'll just sit on my shelf for a while. Someone isn't willing to pay a $800 for a OC card that they'll want to grade." In other words he's telling me is that they don't care about raw collectors and that they're only taking in cards they deem is a PSA10 contender. (That In-self is dirty) majority of raw cards are not psa10 contenders but it's still the top chase in ascended. What kind of business model are they running if they are already buying at 70-80% off market only for cards they deem worthy when you sell to them? If they offered 100% market price and said it wasn't what they were looking for, I'd understand..However, buying at a percentage and ONLY doing business for PSA10 candidates is not only greedy, but is terrible business. A brick and mortar claiming to BUY.TRADE.SELL should not be saying no for that reason. They could buy it for less if the card is damaged but you can see the card for yourself if it's NM. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere along with telling ALL my friends within the TCG community to never go to this shop. They act as if there are no raw collectors out there. They act as if they're above your cards. I had a TERRIBLE experience so do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money on a shop that cares about its customers and want to do right to the customers. I know I will. Buy, trade and sell? Buddies Collectibles was surprisingly poppin on a Thursday night in the quiet neighborhood of Gardena/Torrance borderline. Lots of people browsing, purchasing, sitting at the tables with their card boxes sorting their collections. They have a few rows of tables and chairs so you can sit and open the packs and search for your gems right away. This is my second time visiting and the nice staff @ the counter gave a giant card to my baby, which she loves, and I guess getting her started real early on the hobby. They sell fancy boxes, collectibles, rares by the card, but also easy little things like individual booster packs, which I get as a reward for my kid. Lots of Japanese cards as well, which is so cool since we only had English cards until now. read more

Now it's listed for $120. Small business baiting & switching? Buddies should've honored the advertised price and lost a few dollars to keep a loyal customer, but now they lost at least 5 regular customers in me & my 4 friends that were coming here regularly. Went on a Tuesday afternoon just to browse for cards. Only one person was working but the energy of the worker mainly focused on people who were playing matches and just more attentive to the people the person knows. The shop did not feel welcoming to new customers/people who don't usually play at their shop. The selection of cards were good, but don't continuously ask to look at binders because the person who worked seemed very irritated because they kept getting out of their seat to get binders for us to look at. This shop is more interactive and better for people who are going to play and who have been friends with the workers overtime. Overall, I would go to this shop as my last resort. read more

Their tradein rates makes no sense. They said I was getting cash value for trades although I was not getting cash but just trying to trade in toward couple packs. Prices are a little pricey but Japanese prismatic are 14 per pack and Prismatic is 15. That probably the cheapest I found in store and I understand they need to make a profit.
