I am glad they get good reviews but it was just not what I was hoping or expecting, especially for the price. The pizza's were over cooked and the crust was dark brown. The all meat pizza had very little toppings on it for being a specialty pizza. BEST CHICKEN WINGS IVE EVER HAD I have been to many restaurants that boast the quality of their chicken wings, but comparing them to buddies wouldn't even be fair. The meat is very supple and falls off the bone with a very tender bite. The meat to bone ratio is incredibly in the favor of the customer for the meat content is far more than any other chicken wing I have ever had. Deserves five stars but the pizza differs in quality a lot of the time mostly due to the young teens that seem to be there during the dinner hours. If you order a pizza when the owner is there then you are almost guaranteed a good pie! Whenever I order a pizza when one of the younger workers make it it isn't the best. Either too much seasoning on top resulting in a salty mess or ratios of cheese to sauce to meat all out of wack. Overall great food AND THE BEST WINGS, but the kids need to pay more attention on how to prepare the pies just like the boss. read more

I have been going to buddies pizza for over five years now. It is my favorite place to get pizza in Sebastopol. The owner is very friendly and along with pizza you can have a bunch of variety of sides! From chicken wings to samosas to gyros. My favorite part is how soft the crust is and not too thick or thin. And there's just enough sauce, cheese and toppings. Call them up and "yup no problem our driver will be there within an hour" honestly I was waiting for them to realize I was far enough out and not follow through like other places did but nope an hour later here it is. I was recommended this place, having always passed it by since my experience with strip mall pizza has typically left something to be desired. But Hippizzazz was closed, so I decided to give it a try. As for the pizza, I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good. I asked for extra cheese on my order, and unlike a lot of places that charge you up for the request but don't really deliver, Buddies piled it on. They do not skimp on toppings. But I also ordered a box of wings, which were easily the worst wings I've had in a very long time. Frankly, wings should be easy. These were inedible. Grisly, fatty, tough, and flavorless meat tossed in standard buffalo sauce. I was raised in a poor family and simply detest throwing food away - especially meat - but these poor birds died in vain. I couldn't choke them back no matter how hard I tried. If Buddies just stuck to pizza, this would be a four-star review. Came tonight and ordered an extra large pizza with pepperoni basil and fresh tomatoes. When we arrived there were four kids inside, two of which were in front of the register. We told them we were here to pick up a pizza they responded to us saying they didn't work there. Another kid came out and grabbed the pizza box. After paying our 23 dollars we brought it home to find out we'd been had. The large pizza for the most part was just cheese no toppings really. The pepperoni is pretty much non existent. My boyfriend and I live in Sebastopol, and Mombo's is usually our go-to pizza place. One night we decided to try Buddies on a whim, since it's literally right around the corner from our house. We called in our order for delivery, and they told us it would be there in about 40 minutes. A full hour went by, and no sign of pizza. Assuming they were having trouble finding our house, we decided to call. The guy on the phone was rude, abrupt and completely unapologetic. He said the pizza was in the oven, and should be arriving in 15 minutes. He hung up without even saying goodbye. Again, we waited... Another 45 minutes went by. It had now been 1 hour and 45 minutes since we ordered our pizza! Just when we were about to call again, the pizza showed up. The delivery guy didn't have parmesan, and he didn't apologize either for being over AN HOUR LATE. The pizza itself was okay, but nothing special. We called later to complain about how long it took, and about the rudeness we experienced, and the manager on the phone didn't seem to care at all. He didn't even apologize after we told him it was our first time ordering from Buddies, and that we'd never order from them again. This business obviously does not care about its customers. I guess everyone has a bad day from time to time. Unfortunately for me, the last time I ordered pizza from Buddies they were having a day from hell, which is too bad because it is just up the street. Here's what happened: I ordered a pizza with two toppings. About 20 minutes after I ordered I got a phone call from the guy behind the counter saying, "Sorry, I added onions to your pizza. I can either leave them on and send this out with no charge or I can remake the pizza and it'll be another 45 minutes." Well, at least he was straight forward. We decided to take the three topping pizza. Strangely, it took the pizza another 25 minutes to show up. And when it did come, I was given (and charged for) two drinks instead of the just the one that I ordered. Plus, the salad that was a part of the order was no where to be found. The delivery guy was nice and apologized. He told me to call the shop and let them know what I needed. So I called and got the guy who made the pizza incorrectly. I told him about the salad, he said he'd have it ready, oh, and what kind of dressing did I want? I asked; he ran through the list. I ordered a Greek dressing. When the delivery guy came back with the salad he gave me an Italian dressing. When I pointed out the order he said: we don't carry Greek dressing, the guy at the shop was in correct. Then he went on to say: "Sorry about messing up the order. We got 10 orders all at once and you got the shitty end of the stick." Then he gave back the tip I gave him and said "the extra drink is on me." I should point out we ordered from Buddies in the past and the pizza was fine, if a little expensive. But on this last order, when they messed up one order three times, well, let's just say that Mombo's makes a great pie. read more

I've been a lifelong resident of Sebastopol and have always driven by this place, but never tried it. After being sick all day and not wanting to cook dinner, I decided to give Buddies a try. I am so glad I did! The pizza was super great, my husband loved the hot wings, the mozzarella sticks were cooked perfectly (not overdone where the cheese blows out) and the garlic bread rocked. We paired it with a green salad and it was a meal. The prices are incredible- amazing what you can get for $30 vs. the other pizza places in town. We got a half pesto chicken half pepperoni pizza and it was DELICIOUS! The crust was amazing, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the homemade ranch was awesome!! We just had our first pizzas from Buddies, and hallelujah, it's outstanding! The crust was thin and crusty, which is exactly what I love! We had a cheese pizza with mushrooms, delish! And the best surprise was their Green pizza with lots of broccoli, spinach, and feta cheese. Also had a HUGE garden salad--probably enough for 4 people. The guys couldn't have been nicer. Buddie's Pizza is a classic pizza shop whose owner is dedicated to providing the freshest product as quickly as they can physically manage. My family normally gets a pepperoni, salami and mushroom pizza and it is always consistently awesome. I tried some ribs there the other day. Guess what? They were awesome. I'm betting every time I try something there it's gonna be (guess what?) awesome. I haven't caught the owner's name yet but he always takes time to get to know his customers. He always asks for feedback. His staff that he has there late at night, because he's there early in the morning chopping up all the fresh ingredients, is always on point, polite, professional and they provide the same quality product that I expect from their owner. They even deliver out to my house near Freestone. Their location is super convenient and always has parking. It's right next to a laundry-mat and a 7-11 in case you need a wash and a beer. The new owner is awsome! He changed a lot of the products so now everything has a great fresh taste. The veggies in the gyro are awsome and they come with a good amount of meat. The pizzas are so much better as well. It doesn't require 2 paper towels worth of grease removal before eating the pizza. I went by today on my way home with my 1 year old son and my pup. He was kinda busy but told me he'd hurry. He even brought my food to my vehicle so I could keep the pup and baby in the a/c because it is hot out. He was definitely what the pizzeria needed.
