Pizza at 7:45 pm should not be skimped! It's your business, your signature food! Don't let employees get lazy. We would've ordered 8 pizzas the following week if that 1st tester was legit. But it was soggy. It had no love. Bummer. We'll go elsewhere next time. Ambiance is a NO for a pizzeria. Sorry! Just being honest. read more

Well, I don't leave this type of review easily, but it's what is needed to wake up this Stefano's location and let other consumers know and from what I saw in a few other reviews, it seems to be a common business practice, unfortunately by this location I'm in the mood for pizza. I've been eating Stefanos's pizza for 15-16 years in Marin but I'm rolling through a Petaluma and I'm like I'm gonna get us Stefanon those half cheese half pepperoni fresh hot pie yummy it's gonna hit the spot. I'm in the mood and love the pizza. So I called at 8:37 and I think I'm gonna call and order a extra large half cheese, half pepperoni pizza for my son and I It'll take me 2 minutes to place the order takes three or four minutes to make the pizza. Throw it in the oven for 7-8 minutes there of I'll roll over be there by eight 5855. Have a hot pie in my hand. be happy another happy Stefanos pizza customer however this location doesn't answer their phone. It goes to a voicemail that says it's full, which says to me as a customer, they don't check the voicemails. Now that part about the voicemails that's between them and themselves, however not answering your phone kind of weird and I think maybe someone's just busy so I call back again. Get the same voicemail. I decided to try to call Novato maybe just enlist some help. I'm thinking they're all connected. They don't answer the phone so I call one further south. A nice guy answered the phone and says that they're all independently owned and operated as franchises. He was an employee not a manager or an owner. I call back to Petaluma. There's still enough time for me to place my order if they answer the phone and value and take care of every customer as a business that says they're open till nine I don't understand not answering the phone to take the customers order to make a pizza that's the business you're in you're in the pizza making business and you've got a customer here that's loyal loves your product and almost all of my reviews are five star reviews advocating for businesses of various sizes and industries because that's what I believe in as a consumer and a customer of any business when it's earned, and there's a lot of great business out there that work hard with their staff and ownership management to to earn a five star review. It's my way of expressing gratitude and sharing how awesome they are with the world so that drives more business. Bottom line However, they're either having a phone line problem, which is possible but probably not like likely given other yelp reviews that I saw about this business practice at the pedal limit location and so I've decided to write a one star review like I said I don't do this easily or take it lightly, but this is horrible business practice if you say you're open till nine operate as a business and be open to take care of your customers as a business. It's very simple concept otherwise why being in business Sarcasm and humorous side I simply wish they would have answered their phone whatever employee they've hired either. Maybe they need some coaching if they're doing this kind of lazy behavior on their own or maybe they've been coached to do this then that's something for leadership and or ownership to take a serious look at and say hey maybe we should be answering the phone and taking orders for carry outs when there's time to make a pizza be different. I called you know five minutes before nine. Hey unfortunately, we've turned off the oven. We close in four minutes you know that would be OK but why have business hours till nine if you're not gonna help customers up to that point I feel like this is fair. It's reasonable to ask of Stefanos's Petaluma and if they have some check collecting lazy Employee potentially which can be the case with any business coach them up tell him to do better and if they don't then let them go get there there's a lot of people out there in the world that we'll work hard and do a top shelf job for the customer based in the business I Super bummed it was really in the mood for a hot Stefanos half cheese, half pepperoni extra large pizza instead taking my business to Domino's and or some other pizza place locally and now I'm writing this negative review so there's that Thanks for reading. I wish I wasn't having to write this review but it's earned Stefanos. You gotta do better. Respectfully read more

It's was pretty empty when we visited. The cheese garlic bread was pretty yummy and had good amount of cheese. The pesto delight lit up my mood coz I was craving for some good pizza that day!! A good place to stop by, but nothing fancy.. reasonable pricing. I think it sometimes has a Groupon deal that can be used, which I ended up noticing after visiting the restaurant unfortunately. read more

Cheap date meal. Check. After listening to live music across the way at Adobe winery, we decided on a quick bite & pizza came to mind. The greasy pepperoni pizza hit the mark. This place is popular and I can see why, most people love pizza and their pizza by the slice brings them in. They had a special that day 2 slices with a soda for less that $7. We weren't ready for a full pizza and making decisions on toppings so we ordered the most readily available pizza. The crust was thin and the sauce was flavorful. I'd like to try their other pizzas and will go back for a whole pizza or just a slice. They have indoor and outdoor seating too, the person behind the counter was helpful too. For years, New Yorker pizza was our favorite (being former New Yorkers) but since we stopped in for a beer at Crooked Goat (love them, too) one night, and Stefanos delivers there, we tried their "Mill Valley" pizza, and it's been our go-to takeout pizza ever since. Hospitality - A++ Calzone with chicken and garlic sauce A++ Stopped in for a pizza and ended up getting calzone. They were close to closing. They were so nice not to rush us out. We hurried anyway. A couple of days ago I reserved all of the corner tables for my young daughter's birthday. Coming in a day before the party, I asked the manager if they could hold our cake for the coming party. And I was treated with fantastic hospitality and they gladly took it off our hands. On the day of the party, we continuously ordered pizzas for our tables, which all tasted amazing. Especially the ones with the white sauce, a fantastic time for the whole family. They even let us use their speaker system during the party. Me and my husband wanted to get something to eat before the movies and we decided this pizza place since it was literally in front of us. I'm glad we got to eat there. The chicken tenders is DELICIOUS and super tender! The pizza was amazingly good as well, I LOVE the crust AND YOU HAVE TO GET THE CHEESY BREAD STICKS. THE CHEESE HIT SO GOOD The lady was also super sweet to us when we got to order and the chef is also amazing! The ambiance of the place was very comfy. Ordered take out with a 10 minute drive back to the hotel. Always concerned a pizza and garlic bread won't make it back in time for a good meal. Wrong! Margarita pizza with pesto and the pesto garlic cheese bread with garlic sauce. Excellent! The sauce was subtle as the bread and pizza crust very fresh. Service was as expected. I came in today at 7:30pm to get a pizza and the lady in the front stated that she would not be serving anymore since they close at 8:30. The fact that I came an hour before closing and they can't serve us anymore is outrageous. They had the garbage by the door and all the chairs up at 7:30 while they close at 8:30, they should change their closing time earlier if they aren't going to be serving people. It is horrible customer service. read more

I just order for the first time and I got a dark hair on my pizza super disgusting I call them back and the guy that answer was super rude to me they never offer to send a new clean pizza or give a new pizza for free they just told me that they would give me a refund so no dinner for me. My wife and I ordered a gluten-free pepperoni pizza last night and delivered to Crooked Goat Brewery which is one of our favorite new places in Petaluma. The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni were excellent but the crust was burnt and chewy. Like eating a piece of beef jerky. We called the restaurant and spoke with an employee who told us that is the way it's supposed to be. That pizza has to stay in longer to melt the cheese but that results in the crust being burnt. I was like, Really! We asked to maybe get a credit for another pizza down the road since it was pretty horrible and wanted to give it a second chance and they said "NO". Because we ordered it through the Brewery they can't help us and we need to talk with the manager at the Brewery about any credit etc. It's pretty common now to order food into these pubs so if that is the policy I would suggest you remember this before you order a $37.00 14" pizza from Stefano's or anyone else when delivering in. I honestly don't believe that would be the policy for most establishments but apparently, it is at Stefano's. Have a nice day . read more

This place was great my first two visits. I had it as my favorite pizza/sandwich place. The last time was when the sandwiches seem to be a lot smaller for dine in orders. I asked him to go and he just wrapped aluminum foil instead of putting it in a tray. I walked 6 blocks luckily I did not drop it. They charge $0.75 for extra ranch. Come on, the one you gave me was half filled. read more

When I arrived to pick up my pizza, three kids at the counter didn't have a clue about my order. Took them more than 5 mins to determine my pizza was ready in the back room. This place has the best pizza in town that I've tried. So delicioso that you think you're in Italy! And they got IPA as well as Sierra Nevada, Modelo and Corona on tap! I've been here now three different times before and enjoyed it each time immensely. Ordered by phone for pick up but decided to eat in after all because I could use the company and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Tonight I'm having a small pie with 100% high quality mozzarella, Italian sausage (they also have hot sausage - some like it hot!), salami, double mushroom, red bell pepper, red onion, fresh garlic and tomato which I had them add in the final cook, and "well done" so the salami and sausage crisp up. The crust is a perfect medium thick, chewy, not undercooked like some others, and crispy at the end. Also got a delicious Greek salad - and their balsamic dressing is killer! Not overly sweet nor too acidic. A coke for a little sugar w/ a lift. And... to seal the deal, a home baked look-alike (Woodbine Bakery, out of San Rafael) m and m chocolate chip cookie. Nothing like the m and m cookie to make me a happy camper! And for good measure, I also took home a lemon glazed tea cake which tastes quite a bit like a giant Madeline cookie, with a nice dose of lemon. Ambiance: Great lighting, comfortable seating, even has a couple pizza parlor style booths, giant screen tv playing ball and football. Very clean, and good vibes! I really want to like this place. But the delivery takes forever. Like 1.5+ hours for a pizza. I stopped ordering awhile back because the pizza would always arrive super late and lukewarm. Then I recently tried again, but still the same problem. They use Door Dash so maybe that adds time? Anyway, I'm going to have to abandon this place again. I have littles and can't always jet out to pick up my pizza. Besides, if you have a delivery service I would think you would want to be competitive here. Instead, you are losing a customer. read more

The staff at this establishment went above and beyond in being rude, inconsiderate and insulting today to a lunch patron. A family member of mine saw the sign outside advertising a soda and pizza special at a discounted price. When they reached the register, the price was higher than advertised. When pressed for the reason why, the staff responded "That's for the cheese pizza slice only; you were probably driving too fast to read it correctly." Upon reviewing the sign outside together, there was no distinction as to which slices qualified. When confronted about the sign being false advertising, the staff replied "you're a f---- b-----" Naturally my family member left shaken and upset. As my family member is an older woman, I phoned on her behalf to address this situation. I asked to have the contact information for the owner to forward this complaint, the staff responded, "I have the right to not disclose that information." I have never encountered this level of insult and misleading advertisement at any other business in Petaluma. I don't see this restaurant staying open for long. read more

Yesterday--I ordered--picked up a pizza from Stefano's in West Petaluma. Stefanos is relatively new in Petaluma, and we have ordered several times and was pleasantly surprised with the Hawaiian style pizza. The price was right, & the store is only a 5 minute ride from our home. So Yesterday, we ordered a large pizza- with sausage, pineapple, onions, garlic.....We received a pizza that could have used an additional 2-3 minutes in the oven, =not quite done crust, a tablespoon of overcooked sausage, onion skins ( the outer portion ) that were so tough you could hardly chew them--there was no tomato sauce, no cheese--if the pizza comes this way--you would think that the person taking the order would mention this key factor. After all--one would concur that pizza automatically comes with cheese. With so many outstanding pizza houses in Petaluma, I will never consider coming back to Stefanos. Our present society is experiencing cutbacks on almost all consumer products.. Please don't cutback on the toppings of a pizza. read more

I've ordered numerous times over the last couple years and every time there's a problem. Yesterday, 1/1/21, I ordered an XL pepperoni with half artichokes and jalapenos. It arrived only half pepperoni. The previous time was an XL pepperoni, it arrived with no pepperoni, just cheese. And the first of the last three had no tomato sauce. I don't know what's going on there but this is ridiculous. I give up, I wanted to like them because I grew up eating at the San Anselmo location and never had any issues. So I'll stick to pizza restaurants that I don't have to worry about whether my order will be correct. read more

While the sausage was not in the least bit spicy, the pizza and the salad were the perfect combo to feed the both of us, where we were satisfied and ready to explore Petaluma after lunch without it being too heavy! The table shared the "finger-licking-good" roasted potatoes, but in my opinion, they were fine, nothing memorable in the same way the pizza and the salad were.

The beef Wellington was cooked to a medium consistency, the crust as still firm and mushroom filing great. The oxtail was so tender, it falls off the bone. A different flavoring but fantastic. We ended up taking the oxtail home as it would be diffcult to reheat beef Wellington. No room for dessert. It felt like mostly repeat locals dining here as they chatted with the wait staff a lot, but feel this deserve the hour drive to get here. Parking is avalaible street parking but there is a multi level parking garage near by. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged, with well-spaced tables and a comfortable bar area that makes it an ideal spot for happy hour cocktail--something I especially appreciated since they honor happy hour at the tables as well. Bijou is led by Co-Chefs and Co-Owners Stéphane Saint Louis and Steven Vargas, who have created a truly memorable, approachable French-inspired dining experience. Chef Vargas was present during our visit and took the time to speak with us, which always elevates an evening. He and the entire Bijou team are personable, genuine, and down to earth--you can feel the care they bring to both the food and the hospitality. The menu and décor are understated, but don't mistake that for simplicity. Every dish we had was thoughtfully composed, beautifully plated, and perfectly executed. Flavors were balanced, seasonal, and never overworked--nothing was over-sauced or overthought. Each plate stood confidently on its own, and everything arrived at the proper temperature, which speaks to the kitchen's attention to detail. Our female server was knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations that enhanced the experience. A special shoutout to Dan who clearly takes pride in ensuring guests enjoy their time. His knowledge of spirits and willingness to share his favorites added an extra personal touch. I've seen some comments about pricing, but I found it to be very reasonable given the quality of the food, Crafted Cocktails, service, and overall experience--especially for this level of execution in the Bay Area.
