I got the half fish fry which comes with two sides of your choice, so I selected tater tots and green beans. The fish fry was bigger than what I expected for being a half, but really a great size for anyone watching their portions. The fish was perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and flaky and a little juicy on the inside. I also ordered a cup of the Buffalo wing soup as an appetizer so I left full. Their beer menu has a variety of local craft beers so I got a hard cider from Hamburg Brewing. Service was great, our waitress checked on us frequently. Needed to find a place on our way home. Looked on Yelp and this place showed up. Loved the name and thought this would be a good place to stop. Their menu was pretty extensive and had a lot of great options. My husband chose the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese. There was a lot of food and had a lot of flavor. I had the quesdilla with French Fries. If you like the breaded fries this is a place for you. I like hand cut or crinkle cut so should have chosen another side. Our waitress was great - greeted us, took our order and made sure our order was correct once the kitchen delivered it. She did it all and she had many table to take care. Went here last week and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was after only seeing 3 stars on yelp. Liz was our server and was very sweet and gave us great recommendations on what we should have being our first time eating here. All the food was great. We had wings, fire cracker shrimp and the fish fry. All were great. However...The chicken lips are 100% a must. read more

Service was shitty, they messed up our order, our waitress said she would have it removed, we thought free of charge, no she removed it completely smh. Then recharged it after asking if we still wanted it. To add insult to injury after we said we still wanted it she stated she would wrap it to go! Like wtf, you guys messed up and we still got charged ( we left the food anyways since they made it seem like we couldn't pay for it) Anytime I've EVER been to a restaurant that messes up your order they usually give it to you for free. Avoid the Shepherd's Pie . First , it is not at all a traditional Sheperd's Pie . A traditional pie is made with lamb , this is made with mystery meat akin to beef . That would make more of what is called a Cottage Pie . My dish today had mashed potatoes , as expected , but also cubed potatoes . One of my friends at the table observed that it looks like mashed potatoes with a can of beef stew mixed in . Exactly ! Before I ordered it I ask how it was prepared because years ago , under the old ownership , I ordered it and it arrived cold and tasted like a frozen dinner . The friendly wait staff said this would not be the case , "it is made fresh". When it arrived it was between cold and lukewarm warm . I sent it back , when returned it was lukewarm , not hot . I tried it , tasted OK but nowhere what a sheperds pie should be . I decided not to eat it and was not charged for it . Terrible but a good wait staff member . read more

If I could give it negative stars I would. We had been told several times by friends and family, "do not go to Buddy Brewster's they are awful". I will give the place one compliment and that's the amazing male server that we didn't have and wished we did. He did excellent with his tables, very attentive and overheard a table commend a well of a job he does!! Our server happened to be training another person and it would be in the restaurants best interest to use the male server to train because the lady who served our table was down right the worst. Fake smile and, condescending service, she knew what she did and didn't want to make it right or ask about it. A cosmo drink left on the table the entire time (which was forever in a nearly empty restaurant) , heads up, you can't use wine to make it look like you used cranberry juice. A cosmo does not take like wine and she knew what she did that's why she repeatedly looked at it, wouldn't ask about it but asked if I wanted another beer. Even the hostess walked by (not even on her way to seat anyone) at the end and looked at the drink that sat there. The cole slaw, was dry cabbage mix like it was dumped from a bag. No dressing. The French fries were those fake coated seasoned potato like fries. The fish had a very odd dry texture. We ate because we knew we had a bill to pay even though we wanted to just leave everything wand walk out. We had our plates stacked up and ready to indicate we were done and it took forever for our check. The restaurant maybe had five tables. At the end, she got the 20% tip she did not deserve only because we wanted to kill her nasty vibe with kindness. Do better. Fredonia is losing restaurants and we wished we would have listened to our friends and family. Won't step foot in there. read more

Service at 1:30pm was good. Not a lot of people. So I don't know why my burger I asked for med well wasn't done right. The service and server were friendly, attentive and on task. Stopped here for lunch and we ordered the steakhouse burger and the granny smith apple burger, fries, tater tots, and a side of coleslaw. We were STARVING and we still couldn't finish it all, so a great value. The absolute best burger I've ever had (both of them; not just the toppings, but the burger itself was so delicious and perfectly cooked), the tater tots were extra crispy, and fries were great too. I'm picky about my coleslaw and it was really good too. Geri, our server, was fantastic, too. We will be back next time we drive through! read more

Stopped here to see friends - since it was Friday we all wanted the fish fry! Started with the nachos - very tasty, eclectic, fresh jalapeños. As it was Friday we dropped the pulled pork but added onion straws - delicious! The fish fry ( and broil) was very tasty; well cooked, choice of sides. The half portion was plenty for dinner! Horrific experience. Took OVER AN HOUR to get our food, which was mid at best, and that's being generous. Cheese curds were greasy, chicken lips chewy, caesar salad was tiny and no caesar dressing. Waitress got our order wrong. Never refilled drinks. Didn't clear plates. I had to walk over to the beverage station to get to-go containers and ask repeatedly for the check. There was only five tables and everyone was frustrated. Several people sent their orders back, and ask multiple times for the check. I think there's a BK next door; do yourself a favor and go there instead. Or just don't eat at all; starvation is better than Buddy Brewster's Ale House. read more

Huge parking lot mostly vacant. Almost don't appear to be open. It was though, so we went in. Immediately greeted by friendly hostess, and seated right away. My friend couldn't find a dish he liked and had previously ordered, on their menu. Upon asking the waitress about the dish, she merely replied, "yeah, we don't have that anymore". She didn't suggest a different, yet similar dish to him, she just stood there impatiently sighing while he scanned the menu for an alternative. I literally had to ask her if we could have a few more minutes to decide, since my friend hadn't imagined he'd need a plan B since his favorite dish no longer existed. He ended up getting half a fish fry...which was nothing special. For me, I scanned the menu over and over again...even requested to order last since I couldn't decide. It wasn't that there wasn't enough choices- the choices given just weren't appetizing or special in any way. Very generic menu. I couldn't even find a salad that seemed enticing . I almost ordered nothing, but figured the hours of shopping I was about to do, shouldn't be done on an empty stomach. I ended up getting "chicken toes", which were basically chicken nuggets. They were pasty in color, cooked just enough to not be raw. To put it frankly, they sucked. They came with nothing. Just a basket of sad nuggets. I ate three of them...they went in the trash. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, nor do I plan on visiting this place again, myself. One star is too many. read more

Don't worry, I didn't finish my (tepid but also burnt) chicken tenders nor my cold and gummy fries... my partner didn't finish her chicken tender salad, either! Our server was named Molly, but she did not introduce herself. She seemed overwhelmed for no reason. There were five parties there (parties of no more than 4) and we didn't get any water refills, and Molly was not concerned with my FULL plate. A waitress different from Molly brought us our entrees, which left a bad taste in our mouths (literally). I wanted the food to be good. It's normally good!! it's about 1 million times more rewarding to order from this place on doordash or to just exercise free will and go somewhere else. oh and Molly did eavesdrop and hover over us as we were trying to discuss how little we should leave her. The physical building was spacey and soulless.... just like our waitress.... I really wanted her to be nice and normal. I really did. read more

It's hard to say something positive about our experience, but the restaurant looked nice and so was the server. And I suppose our ten year old did enjoy the chicken strips. But everything else just wasn't good. We had the beef on weck... but it was put on a pretzel bun and it was dry. The Chicken Alfredo was not appetizing and the chicken dish my wife ordered was just awful. Tots were hard as rocks as well. I wanted to badly for this to be a replacement of "wing city" that I used to know and love, but no. Our server was very sweet but they were out of coloring kids menus so only two of kids got them and they were out of grilled chicken? It was the move in weekend of students and you're out of grilled chicken?! When our food arrived, it was not hot. My mom's tater tots were stone cold, which our server very willingly replaced.
