I loved it here this morning. Went with my mother and son. He and I shared the maple and bacon stuffed French toast special and my mother had the BLT with the chips. The French toast was really very good and I am so glad my son and I decided to share it. Too much for one as it is really rich. My mothers sandwich looked really good as well. This is my first review on Yelp but I felt strongly enough about the experience to write a review. I called in for a take-out order. The waitress put me on hold and promptly forgot that I was on the phone. After about a 5 minute wait I hung up and called back. I get it, they were busy, but it doesn't stop there. I picked up my breakfast and when I took my very first eagerly anticipated bite I ran to the sink and spat it out. A long hair was nicely blended in with the french toast batter. I probably don't need to mention that they forgot the requested syrup since there wasn't a lot of need to add syrup to the full plate of food in my garbage can. read more

The food and service was laugh out Loud bad. It's a please seat your self establishment, so I did and about 10-15 mins later my server showed up. Now it was kind of busy as there were about 6 other tables and one 40 year old server way over her job. I was ready to order when she got there. Figured I'd go something simply that they can't mess up. Chicken strip dinner /w gravy, side salad and a glass of water. The food and water all came a once. Gravy was flavorless, chicken strips smaller then a new born baby's foot, and more soggy fries then a dog could eat. Never any check back as well as all the free kitchen drama u can stand. The atmosphere is great, it looks like a 50's diner. I'd been to Buddy's several years ago and thought the food was very good. I went there today expecting it to still be good. I was especially craving a milk shake. I ordered a cheese burger, chocolate milk shake and fries. The fries were real potatoes and hand cut. That is the only thing that was good. The milk shake tasted like thick whipped air. A milk shake is supposed to be cold. It wasn't. The burger was a frozen patty and tasteless. I asked for cheese, it was so small and so melted that I couldn't even tell it was there. I won't be returning. read more

Buddy's Diner is your greasy spoon, 50's themed diner where all of your cheesy/carby dreams come true. Lookin' for chicken fried steak? They have it! Want a milkshake with your burger and fries? Look no further! I've been here twice and had ok experiences. When you walk in, you have to seat yourself so on a busy morning you will be crowded around the doorway waiting for others to leave their table so you can grab it. Once you're seated you get to look over your menus of mozzarella sticks, breakfast served all day, burgers, fries, and sandwiches. I recently had the breakfast burrito and was annoyed that it didn't have any seasoning at all. You gotta put some salt and pepper on your food no matter what kind of restaurant you are. The tomatoes made the burrito soggy and when I asked for hash browns instead of country potatoes I thought that they would be crispy and brown not white and barely cooked. My boyfriend's burger looked kind of sad and the coleslaw was very watery. The mozzarella sticks were good but some had the cheese leaked out of them so it was a sad encasing of batter without the mozzarella. The staff is the main reason why I am rating this place 3 stars at all. They are very attentive and even the busser was nice and accommodating when we asked to switch tables so we didn't have a view of the bathrooms. Our waitress joked with us and always had a smile on her face throughout out meal. The other time I have been here someone at my table ordered a milkshake and it was amazing. I'd say sticking to fried food and milkshakes is probably your safest bet here. The chicken fried steak looked good and the biscuits and gravy looked good as well. I might give this place another try or at least come back for a milkshake in the future. This place was crowded for lunch, so it must be popular, but I as very disappointed with the pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was thick sliced like it came out of a 7-11 deli or something, with American cheese. The only flavor was greasy. The bun was cheap and boring. The potato salad was right out of the Sysco tub. Finally, my soda was in a cup that smelled funny. I'm not going back. Maybe the burgers are ok, but if you must eat here, stay away from the pastrami and potato salad. read more

Terrible food and service. Our waitress forgot my diet coke, marinara sauce, and entire order (she had to ask twice- as in she took it left, came back and asked again). The waitress was disgusting, her hands were dirty and she looked like she had not taken a shower in days. Maybe she was on drugs? She also forgot to pick up or bill we had to go find her to pay and leave. The buffalo burger I ordered was not bison meat (as the menu states) but ground beef. For those who don't know- the two are not the same. It is like ordering chicken and getting turkey instead. I asked for a side of their special sauce.and they gave me yellow, crusty mayo. My friend and I try to go to Buddy's Diner on a weekly basis because they make the best omelettes that I have ever tasted. Our favorite is the veggie omelette, and because we are not vegetarians, we add a striep or two of bacon. The food is always frresh and hot and the service it top notch. We were looking so forward to this place based on the reviews. went on Saturday, they were busy and we sat at the bar. I got the mushroom and bacon omlet with biscuit and hubby got the chicken fried steak. my omlet was good, hashbrowns were basically tasteless and barely cooked and my biscuit was hard and almost scone like.
