This was an absolute nightmare but Enterprise made it better. I had a 7 passenger SUV reserved for a family trip. Went to pick it up this morning but they did not have the vehicle, did not know if the one scheduled to be returned at noon would be there and the only solution offered was a 15 passenger van or a Kia forte. Representative indifferent to the fact I had to Uber there or that I had an appointment to see the doctor in one hour. Totally unprofessional and lacking in customer service. I was able to reserve the same vehicle online at Enterprise and was in and out within 15 minutes. Never again and I hope this Budget/Avis location closes down it is not customer oriented. read more

Got there to pick up and was informed my 7 seater was in a wreck & they only had a 5 seater at the location, but that I could take the car to another location to swap out for the car I rented. Did not have the correct time for my reservation, or any of the pre-pickup information I filled out online to 'speed' the pickup process. Cars are in a large mall parking lot. They have more cars than reserved spaces, so I had to walk around the 90 plus degree lot clicking the remote and following the beeps to find the car. read more

Then I was yelled at with two other customers in between me and the "customer service rep" that two other people came EARLY for their reservation so they gave the other cars away meanwhile we were on time for our reservation and having to wait for over an hour! If I could give zero stars I would. Worst customer service ever. Arrived on Friday beginning of Memorial Day weekend only to find there were no cars available and I was to be in a long waiting line. Told us their system was giving them trouble. I asked why they couldn't call the customer and they said because their systems were given their trouble. Worst experience I have EVER HAD in regards to customer service. We showed up to pick up our vehicle which we had been getting confirmations for all day. When we showed up they told us that they did not have any cars available for us but that they could upgrade us to a seven seater vehicle for an extra $40. We asked why as the customer we would have to pay the extra money for the company's fault in scheduling. The girl there told us that it was corporate policy that you had to pay for upgrades and that we were lucky to have gotten there at the time we did because there was only one car left and about five people that needed cars. We asked why we weren't contacted ahead of time to be told that there was no cars so we didn't have to drive all the way there. She had no answer for this and said that the person who was supposed to drop off the car called to say they were stuck in traffic and wouldn't be there on time. I again asked why they couldn't just call and relay the message to us so we did not drive all the way there. Again no answer, just arguments and lots of "there's nothing we can do. You have to pay the $40." The two women working showed absolutely no empathy and did not care at all that they were leaving us without a car. We later called customer service and they apologized and said that their policy is to waive any upgrade fees if there are no cars available during your reservation time. He refunded us the money and we had to track down another vehicle at a different location. For anyone out there considering this location, please know that this location does not follow corporate rules and does not have any empathy or sense of customer service. I drove a Budget car from Arizona to Florida. The car was new, an SUV, and it was a life saver in some unforeseen circumstances. But that's not what this review is about. It is about customer service at Budget. I picked up the SUV in Buckeye, Arizona. Because the car was going only one way, the fee was enormous. In the end it was almost $2,400. I carried my own collision so they couldn't tack that on too. In Goodyear, AZ, where I picked up the SUV the woman was abrupt, annoyed and ridiculous. She looked down towards the ground and spied my 20 lb. terrier. She said, "Ya know, pets aren't allowed in the car." I didn't reply. Instead I took the keys and walked off. At the return in Brandon, Florida ten days later I pulled into a 100% empty mall parking lot. I called Budget to ask where they were located. I got this, "Find the east entrance. We're by the food court." Now understand the entire Mall was locked up. The Mall didn't open for another two hours. I asked where the East entrance was. She replied, "Use your common sense." Nice, right? I said I assume the food court is inside somewhere. I'm not from here. How do I find the food court. She replies: "Do you want me to come out and show you?" Not realizing this was sarcasm I said, "Yes, please." She replied: "Are you kidding? That isn't what we do here!" At the point I said I cannot find you and I need assistance. She said, "You have 31 more minutes until we penalize you for late check-in." Realize I'd arrived and called her 5 minutes to 8 am. So rude, so obnoxious. She kept referencing a Car Wash as a marker to where she was. I assure you that once a fellow citizen who'd just come from Budget showed me where and how to enter we agreed THERE IS NO CAR WASH ANYWHERE. I Took this woman's photo so you can remember this face. $2,400 I was charged for this behavior. And judging from the other posters here I am not alone in my disgust with Budget personnel. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I honestly don't know how these people stay in business. I experienced THE WORST customer service in my life. We had a family reunion and rented from this place twice the same week. Both times the customer service was awful. I didn't cancel the second reservation because we already had a bunch of events planned and needed the vehicle. The first time (on a Monday), while my husband was getting the car, she asked if he was Dominican and said that she didn't like Dominicans. WTF?! Kinda baffled, he didn't say anything and just took the car. Honestly, this is not something that you expect people to say in a customer service industry. So it took a little bit to process what she said. The second time (on a Sunday) we rented a vehicle to drive down to Miami and catch an international flight. When we went to pick it up, the lady said we needed a passport even though I was not required to show it when I rented a vehicle to drive up from Miami to Tampa (same company). But whatever... went to get the passport. They said they close at 5 PM and we got there at 4:45 and the store was already closed (gate down and everything). I clearly saw Sahar still in the store and she saw us and said she was closed. When we told her that we had already prepaid for the vehicle she said she didn't have anymore cars. So we kept trying to ask her what were we supposed to do to get our money back, she said that it's not her and that we needed to call customer service and that she was going home. By the way, this is while she walking out of the mall right at 5PM. There were two other customers (one that got there before us) that were also trying to get answers as they also prepaid. She provided no answers and was extremely rude. At this point we're shocked and confused trying to figure out how the heck we're going to get to Miami to catch our flight. When I called Budget customer service and told them what happened they didn't seem concern at all and just told us to go to the nearest location and get a car. I had to explain more than once that this was our closest location and they closed the store on us. I asked for my money back and they said they would return it in 7-10 business days. We ended up driving down to Sarasota and renting a car from Hertz at the airport. Complete night and day. Customer service was great, no passport was required, and it was actually cheaper. Sahar has to own part of the company or franchise because a person like that would immediately get fired from any other job. Her behavior is consistently appalling and all you have to do is read other reviews to see the trend. I will NEVER rent from this place or Budget. I don't care it's the cheapest. I'd rather pay more for a car than give these people my money. read more

David and Johanna were absolutely wonderful! My sister and I needed a van to move my belongings across the country. We explained how we needed to leave that same day, but they didn't have any vans available at the time. David informed us there would be one coming in later that day and that he'd reserve it for us as soon as it became available. He went above and beyond our expectations and even gave us the best deal he possibly could. Rented a car from here and at first everything was great, customer service was really good. But all said and done when I had the car for my trip to New York I had a flat tire (twice) an when I checked tire pressure on all tires they were all low, then while in New York during the week going back to my sisters at 12 midnight, the oil maintenance light came on when I checked the oil the next day their was no oil in the car. Point is the car was not maintained before they gave it to me, and the manager did not take any responsibility, and never offered me to bring me another car he wanted me to take time out of my vacation to go an hour away to an airport to change cars, or even said to call roadside assistance, which out of all the times I have rented a car never had to do or think to do. The manager told me "if I wasn't comfortable in the car when I picked it up that I should not have taken it" and that hs was not responsible for what his employers did or not do.
