moved to California last December after retiring. As soon as I arrived, I asked around for a good dentist and was introduced to one with a good reputation. I visited the clinic in mid-December. Before my visit, I confirmed my dental insurance card over the phone and arrived at the scheduled time. My wife and I had scaling done together. It seemed to be a Korean-owned dental clinic, but they hardly spoke Korean. Since it was my first visit, they took X-rays twice and did the scaling. However, they didn't give me any evaluation or explanation afterward. Later, they charged me $160 even though I had insurance that covered everything. When I asked why, they said that if the insurance company paid, they would refund the amount. Based on that, I made the payment. In California, my insurance had never required me to pay for such procedures before. Around February 18, I received a letter from my insurance company stating that I didn't owe anything and that they had paid the full amount. Two days later, I visited Budget Dental with the insurance letter and requested a refund, but they only refunded $60. I called my insurance company again, and they told me that Budget Dental had made a mistake. The representative even tried calling the clinic directly but couldn't get through. When I explained the insurance company's response to the clinic, they insisted that they had done nothing wrong and refused to refund anything beyond the $60. Therefore, I strongly advise first-time visitors to verify their insurance coverage beforehand. Despite having Korean patients, the clinic does not have a dedicated Korean-speaking administrator, which causes communication issues. Additionally, the dentist did not kindly explain the examination results. Charged for no work done. I have been a customer for a long time. I have given several referrals without them asking and I did not receive any compensation. I went back in the other day to have a crown reattached. This crown was an implant from them. I asked them if there will be no charge. They told me no charge. So they proceeded to service me with X-ray's. She then left with my crown, and told me she'll be back to reattach the crown. A few minutes later, another person came in. She told me that there will be a cost for the X-ray and crown reattachment. The total will be over $200. I decided not to do it. As I was told there will be no charge for the reattachment. When I was leaving they told me to pay for the X-ray. I paid for it. I am very disappointed in paying for something that I didn't have to do. If they told me at the beginning there was a charge, I would've declined and the X-ray would not be needed. read more

During X-rays I was treated terrible. Given no direction and when I said something, I was barked at. She was so aggressive I didn't understand why. I have been going to this clinic since 2014. They have employed incompetent and beginners that dont know what they're doing. First I called to set up appointment for teeth cleaning and I asked aboit in-office teeth whitening. The person didnt even bother telling me that they dont do in-office teeth whitening but a kit, which obviously doesnt get done same day, I didnt know this so I pushed through with the appointment. On the day of, the assistant didnt even speak up to tell me that she wants to take xray of my teeth, she just assumed I know what she needs to do. But anyways, I am smart enough to oblige at a non-spoken direction. Omce the 1st process of xray was taken she kept repeating for me to step away from the machine nut I cant because my teeth were still hooked up to their machine... i cant talk to tell her, I cant move, afraid I might break my teeth. And then she goea, "Oh!" when she realized ahe didnt unclamp the thing holding my teeth. Dr Cutter...please train your employees. And that person answering calls should be knowledgeable. read more

To start off, I have been a patient of this dentistry for more than 3 years and this dentistry was my first dentistry ever. Fyi, I am in my 20s, was a student, paid all of the procedures below out of pocket. I first had a filling done on my front tooth which came off after 7-8 months and had to be redone and paid for all over again. And to my surprise, the filling came off again recently and I had to get it refilled at another dentistry. I decided to get my tooth whiten here too. The result was unsatisfactory, I barely noticed any difference. I think it was because the mold they made me to whiten at home was loose but when I told them, they said it was okay for it to be that way. I still am not sure if it was suppose to be loose. Anyway, the whole whitening process had made my tooth super sensitive and fragile. I for sure wouldn't have went through with it if I knew this was going to happen. Because of the whitening, my tooth became quite fragile which I think have led to parts of my first molars to break off. I had my filling done here on my first molar on my right side which came off within two weeks after the filling was placed. They redid it with no charge. But guess what, it got loose after 5 months or so and a root canal has to be done. I started the root canal process with this dentistry but decided to complete it at the UNLV Dental School instead. I learned so much from the faculty who treated me at UNLV Dental School. I also had a filling done on my first molar on my left side. Just recently, it seems very likely that this tooth might need a root canal also. I think the problem with my fillings are that the material used weren't the right ones. It would make more sense to have my first molars to be filled with silver anagrams rather than resin composite since I chew with my molars and silver anagrams are more sturdy. But guess what, this dentistry doesn't provide silver anagrams, they only do resin composites. And the sad part is that I didn't know that my molars would be better off with silver anagrams until a root canal needed to be done. I wish I knew about the difference because I would've for sure went to a dentistry that provided silver anagrams. I think this dentistry needs to work on letting the patients know more about the procedures they are getting into because I sure wasn't provided the information needed to ensure that I was making the right decisions for my tooth. I trusted this dentistry because they got some experienced dentists, but they might want to give people who are not as educated about dental works like me more information than what is provided. They gave me many options, they explained everything in detail and they answered all of my questions (and I had a lot of questions). They were kind and caring and so far they've done excellent work. I have been to this dentist twice in regards to a broken tooth. I also need an abuttment for an implant I had started in Colorado before moving to Las Vegas. Either there is a slight language barrier or this dentist is not big on communication. I felt like I had to interrogate her in order to figure out if she was going to be able to order the parts she needed to complete my implant, how long it would take, what steps needed to be taken, and how much it was going to cost (spoiler alert:. It was a bit out of my "budget" ) I had the tooth removed but decided to skip having the other work done. I felt like I might not have all the information or know the right questions to ask her. Dr Cutter struggles with making level and good bonded fills and she does not take criticism well instead she will ask you to find a new dentist. Dr Cutter believes her fillings should only last several months when really composite fillings should last years. I had 11 fillings done with Dr Cutter. Out of the 11 fills nearly 5 of those fillings fell out. 2 out of the 5 composite fills that fell out were replaced on two and three separate occasions. 6 or 7 of the 11 fills protruded beyond the tooth structure leaving me in a awkward position asking her to polish and bring them down to my actual tooth level. She seemed agitated and annoyed when I asked her to do better work. Further wondering why she didn't just do a good job the first time. She replaced a poor filling she did on my first molar that fell out since she messed up so bad she then explained to me that I will need a crown if her fill doesn't last. So that tooth that only needed a filling will need a crown if her sketchy filling doesn't hold. Yay I love loosing a molar due to poor dental work. Dr Cutter left many of my fillings that she performed uneven and protruding beyond my tooth structure. She continued to deny her poor work and continue to express to me that I was the problem and her failing and uneven fillings she had performed were somehow my fault. She did attempt to correct her work after I had to remind her over and over again the importance of creating flush and even fillings. After expressing frustration with her work due to so many appts needing to be made in attempts to correct her work she then told me the fillings she performed several months earlier were not her problem. She likes to leave copious amounts of composite filling overhangs in random places throughout her fillings because she doesn't believe some patients are worth that 5-star work. She also told me not to come back because I asked her if she felt confident enough in her work to have it checked by another dentist. Since I was loosing faith in her work. Beware she doesn't take her time and she will deny her poor work and will continuously shift blame on the patient. It's petty and poor behavior of any doctor instead of just listening to your patients you have to rebuttal and guard your frail ego. Your patient is upset with your poor work and your ego superseded the patients needs. I'm not even sure if the composite fillings she did perform were done correctly. I will have to see another dentist to find out the severity of damage that may have been left by her. I just don't understand why we have to deal with bad dental work within the 21st century. I also don't understand why a dentist would want to even cause their patients to suffer with poor work. Why do we have to correct our dentists? Why can't we get safe and effective work here? I asked her how can you perform a root canal and crown build up when you can't even do a proper 3 surface composite fill appropriately? Be careful guys she's just one out of many dentists who don't care about her patients. Instead she will give you work she thinks you deserve and in my case she believed I wasn't worth 5-star work. If you've experienced poor work and you have dental insurance please do us all a favor and call your insurance companies to inform them of her poor practice and her inability to perform in the state of Nevada. We should not allow dentists with petty attitudes and reckless behavior to purposely destroy anyone else's teeth. We need doctors who actually care about their patients and ensure safe practicing techniques at all times. read more

So, I started having some significant pain on the right side of my mouth. My fiance urged me to call a dentist. A few days and a bit of research later I called Budget Dental. I explained the pain, explained it may or may not need a root canal. No idea. Called Wednesday and got an appointment for Saturday at 1:30. Woot. After I got off the phone they sent me a little text with all the info to confirm. Sweet. Friday they called to confirm the appointment still. I missed the call but called back and confirmed it. The place is reallly easy to find as their sign is HUGE. It is next to a foot spa place. As you can see from my pics, the waiting room is pretty darn nice! The entire experience to this point absolutely does NOT scream "budget." I've gone back here several times since my first visit and even made sure my new insurance would be A-OK here - doesn't help to get it cheaper, right? Will definitely return. read more

As a skeptic to any kind if dental work, you can be sure I was extremely nervous coming into here. Especially it being a 'budget' practice I thought my tooth extraction was gonna be an absolute nightmare.... but I couldn't be more wrong. I walked in, no appointment scheduled and was taking x-rays within 15 minutes. Following x-rays they sat me down in a room and I then awaited the doctor. What I especially liked about Dr. Cutter, is that she's a no nonsense kinda doctor. She walked in and told me straight away that my infected tooth required immediate extraction. No funny business, no beating around the bush and most importantly, no wasting time. They got right to business as soon as I gave them the green light. As far the extraction goes, the anesthesia shots to the mouth were the most painful and all it was is a couple pinched. After the numbing kicked in the rest of the procedure was a piece of cake. In my case, Dr. Cutter had to cut my tooth in half prior to pulling it out, but I didn't feel a thing except the pressure. Hopefully your experience won't be as intense :) Follow the instructions they give you post-procedure and everything should be a-ok! Dr. Cutter is excellent, the staff was excellent and the prices cannot be beat. Don't pass up this practice if you're in need of dental work. read more

I am English and come from a country that has free health and dental care, when I first had a problem last year with a cracked tooth I was directed to a place who must have thought I had won the pools. I went home to London to have my treatment. Then last week another tooth decided to complain about its life and I found Budget Dental. What an amazing place and amazing prices, to be honest I feel so lucky that I found them...now I feel that I have won the pools. I had an infection in a crowned tooth, rather than just go let's do root canal and take a load of money from me, the doctor suggested I take a course of antibiotics and wait 2 weeks. I could not believe how honest she was and the price of the treatment she gave me. This was exactly as my Dentist in London had thought was the best way to go. Okay, so let's start off by saying I'm a registered dental assistant in CA and most of these negative reviews have NO IDEA about the basics of dentistry, yet are trying to put fault on this poor team. Look, It's BUDGET DENTAL. They do safe and quick treatments at an affordable cost, I don't know if these reviewers are expecting to sit in the lap of luxury, but dental facilities are expensive and hard to run. If you want top dollar environment and spa services while getting your work done, go to Beverly Hills for your treatment. This place is clean, safe and has REAL people who won't JUDGE YOU for not having endless pockets, but still needing treatment. They understand you're in pain or having a dental emergency and they're on it quickly. I need an emergency exam with xray and know I don't have money for a root canal? I can easily book a tooth extraction online, even for my first appointment. Sure, if your tooth is salvagable they're going to try to coax you into keeping it, but it's not for MONEY. It's because it's DIFFICULT and EXPENSIVE to replace those teeth! Your whole occlusion will shift, you may not be able to chew properly, you may have bone loss. They aren't going to throw anything that would be blatantly unnecessary at you- you just aren't educated enough to comprehend WHY when it seems like SO MUCH money. You haven't seen the repercussions from constantly rejecting the optimal treatment plan. Just because dentistry often has alternatives, doesn't mean they're better. To the dude saying his fillings kept falling out and they should have used amalgam (Which he didn't even spell correctly, probably doesn't know the proper terminology, but that's beside the point) You cannot possibly complain about your chewing or hygiene habits and say that it's on the dental team. You wanted amalgam because it's "tougher" but have you even the slightest clue that your decay may have been too DEEP to place an amalgam? Composites (white fillings) are chemically bonded to the tooth, amalgam is physically retained. SO the dentist would waste MORE of your healthy tooth prepping a larger area to even do the amalgam in the first place. Not only that, but amalgam makes it hard to detect growing decay beneath the filling since it's illuminated in radiographs. Obviously your fillings were large enough to need either a bruxer crown or a bite guard because if the prep was isolated properly, your fillings shouldn't have fallen out unless you let decay grow under the restorations from not flossing and brushing correctly. If it was one tooth, that's a fluke, but MULTIPLE like you've listed? It's something you're doing wrong, but no dental team will say that since they know you won't take it well and you can't possibly understand the full ramifications of your poor hygiene or habits. You probably floss incorrectly, not following slightly under the gingiva in a 'c' shape because no one teaches the general public this. So even if you're flossing, you're probably not doing it right. Do you brush each tooth individually, or do you power stroke across your whole quadrant, leading to gum recession and ineffectively cleaning your teeth in under 3 minutes? Again: Most likely. Also, you do not generally do fillings on front teeth unless they are minuscule or from gum recession with no decay, simply to protect the exposed root. It's a thinner tooth that's easily susceptible to decay that the optimal treatment would be to crown the tooth. I'm going to guess, since you switched to the dental school, that cost was an issue and you didn't go with the best treatment plan based on finances. Which, is fine, everyone has their monetary limits, but you can't complain when you're not following the best course of action. PS if you're gonna whiten your teeth with a tray, just use Crest Whitestrips. They actually work and they do better than the trays if you're not using a UV light. If you're doing in-office whitening treatment, do ZOOM. But be warned, it will hurt your gums, make your teeth sensitive and potentially exacerbate calcification on your teeth you wouldn't notice otherwise. NO ONE knows the effects of whitening until after, not even your dentist. It's like going to a hair salon wanting to be a dark blonde and coming out patchy platinum, even though they had the solution lift your color at the same time for the previous person. There was another user who complained about their implant and abutment situation, but most dentists would never put their name on the line for someone else's work. This clearly falls under the patient stealing laws, and frankly, they have no clue exactly how reliable the previous doctor's work is. But when your entire implant gets infected or your bone grafting wasn't successful, they're going to have to take the blame because the new dentist took the risk of completing treatment that they didn't start. Not very smart risk to take when you could face charges and potential false malpractice cases, hmm? read more

Safe and quick treatments at an affordable price - this statement is very true, written by another yelper and this is the best way to describe Budget Dental. It's sad to say that now days it's hard to find an honest and affordable medical facility but especially with dentist. I don't know if it's me but the only two times in my life I've had problems with my teeth and had to search for a dentist I always felt that I had to watch my back and try and figure out which one isn't trying to get into my pockets with unnecessary treatments. At other dentists when going in for my regular cleaning and check ups they would always point out I needed 5 or more different treatments that would add up coats to around $2,000 or more. With Budget dental I explained what my issue was and they gave me the cost - no hidden fees, very transparent and only discussed my issue. This was the first place that made me ever ask "is there anything else you think I should get done or you would advise to take care of?" They said yes, you have a cavity that will need treatment soon but it'd be best to get it done now IF YOU CAN. They weren't pushy about it they just advised me when I asked for advise. They took me in the same day I called - no extra fee for that. They were very fast the office was clean, nothing luxurious but you have to remind yourself it's BUDGET DENTAL and they are there to fix things and get you in and out on a budget (nothing bad about that, it's great especially now days living in a country where health insurance is a scam) My experience during the procedure was good, it was a bit painful but saving $600 eased it pretty quick, it was nothing unbearable I guess I just let the problem get a little bit too bad. Everyone was really friendly and informative. The place is kept clean and in the end that's all that matters to me. They fixed my problem and I was out of there in 1 hour. My thoughts are this, many other places were charging twice as much just to fix the problem I had. At Budget dental I still payed way less and I got two problems solved, one that I appreciate they caught because once they went in to solve it it was worst than what the surface showed. Here in Vegas if you don't have a fancy insurance that can cover visits to a high end place anything and everything else you can afford to pay out of pocket even the expensive ones will be the same, same service, same procedure, nothing fancy, same set up same everything the only difference will be the price. So rather just go to an affordable one get what you need to get done and be out of there quick this is what Budget dental is. I give them 5 stars because I felt so much better the day after, I haven't had any problems, and my mind is at peace knowing that they took care of that cavity that could've been another problem to deal with in the future. read more

They are busy and very sloppy with their job. The doctor cutter hops around patient to patient during my staying there, I met a doctor for 1 minute and then she did not appear at all. I have many questions but no chance to ask. It made me very angry. She did some work and disappeared to work on other patients, I think. I want to be relaxed but this place made me waited for a long time and then, one assistant came to me and explained without any sample or pic. I believe it belongs to the doctor. She may want to focus the patient who brings the big money. I know when doctor becomes a businessman or women, we have to avoid the place. Finally found a dental office that doesn't want to overcharge, or deny you because of no dental insurance or care credit. My bf was having severe dental pain for months, after calling and getting prices that All ranged around 3000, we found a place that was able to get him in the next morning. The extraction was about 240, Including xrays. The root canal was about 800-900, the process itself was not painful, the dentist and nurse explained everything to him before hand. Waiting for my brother Roel get his dental work done, Kelli at the desk checked in and was very pleasant which I appreciate, been to a lot of doctor's offices that had someone make your day worse by not welcoming you but Kelli was very welcoming , they charged him $39 for a check up and prescription of antibiotics which is very reasonable, we will be going back to this office and would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND them to our friends!! I took my brother back for his extraction and of course we were warmly greeted by the ladies in the front, and my favorite girl KELLI, She's AWESOME!!! Don't let the name budget dental make you feel that it's referring to their quality, they have state of the art modern dental equipments they have an Internet cafe for the patient's waiting room w of course complimentary Keurig's coffee and the place is very clean, and if you don't have insurance yet like my brother, their prices are so reasonable, special thanks to DR. Welcome to my dental journey. My brother used Budget Dental a few years back and recommended I go there. After visiting the website and seeing that they actually had their Dental pricing I booked my appointment I was able to get in with in 4 days today was my first day the dental assistant was very kind and she took me in to take an x-ray of the tooth I want work done on. we were both excited to see that the Decay on the X-ray didn't show it was into the nerve but was VERY close. I got to meet Dr. Brian today He was honest and gentle...and handsome! LOL...he removed all decay and prepped the tooth for a crown. With our fingers crossed, we are hoping I don't have any pain the next 3 days. If I do...it will mean I need a root canal. Front desk was quick and organized. Stay tuned... read more

I was on vacation in Vegas when one of my crowns popped off! Luckily I called this place and they were able to make a same day appointment to re cement it. The only down fall this place is they took me 40 mins after my appointment time. When I asked the receptionist how much longer all she said is all the doctors are busy and the rooms are full. I asked her if they go by appointment times and she said usually but today they are behind. When I asked how far behind she basically ignored me. I just wish she would have told me that when I checked in. Once they finally took me back it went very quick and I was super happy with it. But less than 5 hours later the crown popped off again!!! They told me it should last at least two weeks. $75 wasted and I don't live in vegas so it's not like they can fix it. I'm giving them 3 stars because I called and complained and they did refund me once I told them I couldn't come back to get it fixed. read more

So I had 2 fillings done on two bottom molars in January 2020. The bottom left side is fine but the right side is so sensitive I can not eat on that side. I went back in to figure out why and the dentist shaves the problem tooth down a bit... I got a cleaning and set another appointment for a small cavity on a top left molar. She filled the cavity the following day and then a week later the new molar that had the work done is sensitive to the point it is uncomfortable eating on it and the other side I still can't eat anything on. She said the new filling may take time to eat on but the bottom one she filled in January, she said there is nothing they can do about it. I'm sorry but there is ALWAYS something that can be done. I'm making an appointment at a reputable dentist in town and will do a follow up to this comment when the tooth is fixed. Just had my teeth cleaned and it was not worth the $$. I guess I shouldn't believe so much in Yelp, as there was so many saying she was great, She even said I had 2 crowns when I know for a fact I only have one. First off you come in and you see Yeon. She gets you ready, very friendly and courteous. Then there is Rusanna. She took good care of me and even got me set up with the credit pay to help me make sure that I can make the payments.I really didn't think that I would get it but she really helped me our here.Thanks Ruzanna. I noticed at least 2 different girls here that work with the doctor to make sure that you will be ready. There is one called Dyanc (not sure but I think that is that was to spell it). On this Visit I had Maricel. She was very professional and really worked with the Doctor to make sure that I was ready. Finally I had DR. Brian. We was so smooths that I got shots and almost didn't notice them at all. Very Good and Very Professional. It it was free it would have been perfect. But I still had to pay. read more

Had to have a root canal done, normally a fairly painful procedure. Dr. Ji did a great job, quick and fairly painless. I really appreciate that she did not make me open my mouth painfully wide, instead she made sure I was comfortable and I only needed to open wide enough to allow her access.
