    Don't book here because you won't even get in. We made a reservation to pickup at 12:00pm, get here literally on the nose...and they're gone? Nobody's here. Lights off. Gates locked. It's closed. Can't even get in. Apparently they "close" at 12:00pm?? We weren't late at all, got here at 12:00pm and everything's clearly been shut down inside for a while. The hours sign on the gate where it says where they close is also like "written in." Attached a pic of that. Soo short story: Made a reservation for 12:00pm pickup They're closed at 12:00pm So yeah, maybe don't allow for a pickup time which is also a closing time....bad Budget!!

    Be careful when renting a car here. Take pictures of the car, before you drive it off the lot, and when you return it. Also, take pictures of the fuel gage before you leave the lot, and when you return it. I rented a car back in March 10, 2022. The tank was not full. It was in between 3/4 and full. The Mexican guy was very friendly and pointed out that the tank was not full and even wrote it on my paperwork. When i got home, I noticed that the white car had visible scuffs on it. I drove back in the morning, as soon as they opened, to point them out to the female employee, with obviously dyed hair, that was working that morning. She told me not to worry about it because, in her own words, "all of our cars have scratches." When I returned the car, I filled up at the gas station that's about 2 blocks aways on Broadway and L. Just to make sure that I didn't waste any gas because at that time, it was about $6 dollars a gallon. It wasn't full all the way, but it had more gas than when i picked it up. So I dropped it off, and I asked the same employee, the Mexican woman with obviously dyed hair, if she wanted to come out and inspect it. She told me not to worry about it and that they'd be crediting my card the holding deposit within 24-48 hours. So I went home thinking nothing about it. Two days later I see a $35 dollar charge on my credit card. I called the office and no one answered. It rang about 5 times and then it was forwarded to their main office. After calling about 5 times, I finally decided to drive up there, with my paperwork. The same guy that rented the car to me was surprised. The woman had charged me $35 dollars because she claimed the tank wasn't full. Even though he had marked it on the paperwork. Unfortunately, he said he couldn't help me. I would have to return in 2 days, when she came back from her days off, or call Customer Service number. I called the number and after answering their stupid questions, over and over, I was able to get a refund. Like seriously, she wanted me to provide her with a receipt, proving that I bought the gas! The whole thing was ridiculous! I thought the whole issue was resolved. But i was wrong! Fast forward to 11/1/2022. I received a letter in the mail from Budget Rental. I thought it was a coupon or something. Instead it was an invoice from Budget, telling me that I had caused glass damage to the vehicle that I rented back in March 10, 2022 and that they would be deducting the amount from my credit card that they had on file. I immediately called the number that was provided, 1-800-984-9123. I spoke to a man. I told him the condition of the car when I received it and also the $35 dollar gas fee that the woman tried to rip me off. Not only that but if this so-called damage was caused by me, which wasn't. Why the hell would you wait 8 months to notify me? And who the hell rented the same care during the last 8 months? After putting me on hold for a few minutes, he came back on the phone and told me that I would not be charged anything. He also preceeded to send me a confirmation email which stated the same thing. Although he corrected this issue, I will never be renting again from Budget Rental. I'm sure I'm not the only customer that they have done this to. It's back to Enterprise for me!

    Not a fan of "Budget", but am a fan of the customer service at this location. We had issues with our reservation at another location and were transferred here. I didn't catch the name of the individual who helped us at the counter, but she was super efficient. I appreciate the fact that even though she was busy she was on it! When something was being printed for the customer in front of us to sign, she looked up our reservation and started working on it. If only more people were like that. On a side note, be sure to ask how to get to the back lot to return the truck. Depending on how big of a truck you get you might have a hard time going through the front gates. Also, please make sure you know up front about the particular truck you are getting. Our truck was "upgraded" due to the reservation issue. Sounded great, but that meant more gas. Our truck had two different fuel tanks we had to refill.

    So I used Budget service a couple weeks ago to move a family member from LA to San Diego County. The process for renting a moving truck and then returning it was very simple. And the prices compared to U-Haul were a big difference with concerns to mileage. The mileage is where you save with Budget. With U-Haul I got the run around and they were rude and negative on the phone. However, Budget was very simple and the staff were friendly and actually cared that I was there. I was very pleased and I will use them again in the future when the time arises.

    My husband picked up a car at 0800 on the Thursday morning before the Memorial Day holiday. He was not offered the opportunity to go over the car with the agent. They provided a filthy car, that smelled of cigarette smoke. It had a cigarette burn on the passenger seat and on the door panel. In addition there was a spill stain on the driver seat that covered 80% of the surface area. On the carpet behind the passenger seat there was a "stain" that appeared to be chewing gum. The exterior had a large scrape across the rear bumper and a broken light on the lower right side. When I tried to call them a little before 4:30pm (after i got home from work). The location is supposed to close at 5pm and no one answered. After 5 rings it would transfer to the national number. I continued to call the chula vista location each time it transferred (17) times and no one answered. After their posted close time I tried the national number and was on hold for approx 20 minutes before I gave up. Having to spend the entire trip to from and around Utah for 4 days in a car with a disgusting smell pretty much ruined most of my trip. The car is 2019 and has 53k miles on it. And on top of it all the Ford Fusion has Toyota Camry manuals. The car has NJ Plates. The NJ registration expired May 2020 and an insurance card, that expired 1 July 2019, the insurance card did not have the make and model listed. We rent from budget often and have done so for over 20 years. This is the first time I have ever recieved such a disgusting filthy vehicle.

    They act very friendly and then screw you over. Overcharged for a whole day while I was only 3 minutes late.

Joseph apologized, made it right with a discount, and did what he could. Enterprise Corporate: your employees deserve a raise... and about three more coworkers. The staff is solid.     Inadequate Solution by Ben…read more Unfortunately, we were "helped" or more accurately, spoken to by Ben, and customer service was nowhere in sight. We came in with a positive attitude, excited to finally pick up the car we had reserved over a month ago. To our surprise, the vehicle was not even on the lot. Instead of offering a real solution, Ben repeatedly suggested downgrade after downgrade. Naturally, we asked him, as the customer service representative, to help us locate the vehicle we originally reserved. Ben called both the Solana and Broadway locations. He told us Solana did not answer, while Broadway supposedly confirmed they had two of the vehicles we originally booked. As we waited for updates, Ben continued taking phone call after phone call, visibly becoming flustered and irritated. When we politely asked for an update, he looked at us in disbelief almost annoyed that we expected an actual resolution after waiting there. He then claimed he had already explained the situation, though at no point did he clearly confirm that a vehicle was secured for us. We simply asked for some kind of written confirmation or transfer note showing that Broadway was expecting us. Ben responded abruptly and dismissively, saying, "No, we cannot do that," in a rude and impatient tone. The entire interaction ended in disappointment and frustration. When we arrived at the Broadway location, we were informed that they had never received a call from Ben. They also explained that customers are not supposed to be sent to another location without confirmation or communication beforehand. Thankfully, although Broadway did not initially have the exact vehicle available, their staff treated us professionally, made actual calls, and ultimately found the car we had originally reserved. The difference in customer service between Broadway with Adrian Guzman (early 20's) and Ben( late 30's) at Auto Park was night and day. I'd like to apologize to Ben for us expecting customer service from a customer service representative. Newsflash: helping customers solve problems is part of the job. It honestly felt like Ben became overwhelmed by a few phone calls and could not properly handle customers standing in front of him. Instead of showing professionalism or empathy, he came across as irritated, dismissive, and unwilling to help resolve a situation that your company created.

    Night and day difference in customer service here at the Enterprise on Broadway. Although they were…read morenot the location we originally started with, the team immediately stepped in with empathy, patience, and professionalism after the terrible experience we had at Enterprise Auto Park. We were incredibly fortunate to be helped by Assistant Branch Manager Adrian Guzman, and honestly, his customer service is beyond exceptional. Adrian was calm, attentive, kind, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. Even while juggling phone calls and multiple customers, he made everyone feel acknowledged by communicating clearly and letting people know he would be right with them. That level of attentiveness goes such a long way and is so rare these days. Adrian completely turned our experience around. He helped fix our reservation issue with patience and understanding, and he treated us with so much respect during a stressful situation. Enterprise is lucky to have someone like him representing their company; he absolutely deserves recognition, a promotion, or at the very least a raise. If you're looking to rent a car and want truly outstanding customer service, request Adrian Guzman at the Broadway location. He was honestly an angel for us that day. Five stars all the way!

The vehicle for the most part was clean, it did need some wiping down and vacuum in some areas. This could have used a better exterior wash. I'm not sure I'd use this location again due to its location and the fact that benefits mean nothing here.

Unfortunately, the car rental center is not inside the main terminal, so you do have to take a shuttle to the rental car area, which is about a 10-minute ride. When we landed, there was a long line, and it took us about 10-15 minutes to make the queue for the shuttle. Once we got to the rental car center, customer service was great. We had already checked in online and had our own insurance, so the process was pretty smooth. The customer service rep was really nice and even cracked some funny jokes. A few minutes later, we were in our car a white Mustang convertible in great shape and very clean. The only thing I wish they had done was give us a quick demo on how to close and lock the top, because we couldn't figure it out at first and had to watch a YouTube tutorial. Returning the vehicle was a breeze, and I got an email receipt within minutes. Overall, a smooth rental experience and a good choice for our San Diego trip!

Instead of line up at the counter , you can do self check at the machine. There is a car cable and adapter machine for phones in case you need one . They provide wheelchair service all the way from the airline gate to, to the shuttle bus statin and then when you get off the bus, they will continue to have a pusher to bring you to Alamo counter ! All seamless and one flow line service! The rental center is a few blocks away from the airport. Everyone will need to walk a very long walk to shuttle bus station. That will bring yo to the renal cars buildings . Their cars are new and we have the choice of one Nissan and one Corolla. We picked the Nissan because it has only 3000 miles . The return of car is easy and smooth . Highly recommended for such a great experience.

When my husband arrived yesterday 2/28/24 CESAR (the employee who helped us) asked for our CC and told my husband that he was gonna run it for the deposit. When we checked the reciept, we found out we were charged AGAIN for the car for $250 not the deposit. Supposedly, CESAR couldn't find our reservation so he rebooked on the spot AT A HIGHER RATE. We called the 800 number and found out our original reservation was modified (not by us). So my husband told CESAR he wanted to cancel/return the car we were given and asked if he could reseve another rental or they match the price we orginally prepaid... CESAR said no they can't do that PLUS they didn't have any cars available anyway (even though their app said otherwise but ok). So then my husband asked if he could rent the car he had just returned again but at the price we orginally pre-paid...no response... lol what the fuck. None of it made sense. They didn't have any cars available but then how was CESAR able to deceivingly book us a car on the spot because he "couldnt find our pre-paid reservation"? We've been renting from this company for years but of course we'll be going elsewhere. Now we have to monitor our bank acct to make sure the charges do not post. And if they do we will have to go through the headache of disputing them.
