We stopped in after a trip to disc golf nearby. The kale Caesar salad was the star for me but the pepperoni with hot honey was delicious as well. Service was attentive and courteous. Sad we didn't have room for homemade ice cream.

Amazing food and welcoming service! Highly recommend, check out their dine in special for 2!

Got takeout since the new river district location opened up RIGHT across the street. Portions are TINY, food was overpriced and sooo mid. Burrata was a scam for $30, flavours was good though. Honey pepperoni pizza was super salty and like.. wet and soggy?? Fennel sausage pizza lacked flavour and barely any meat. I really enjoyed the rigatoni but looked like a portion for a child.... LOL overall not worth the high price point

Love the pizza here and the service is always great. One time we ordered the burrata and were really underwhelmed, it was just not at all what we expected. They let us change it out for their kale Caesar instead which was delicious. The hot honey pizza is by far my favourite!

What experience. Just an excuse to make customers pay a surcharge.

Not sure if they still have the disrespectful rule not seating customers until everyone in the group has arrived. It's far better to just set a time limit for the table.

Great food, decent service. Would recommend. A bit on the pricey side. I thought the service was mediocre. I do recommend their pizzas and salad. They have a plexiglass in each booth so it is covid friendly.

Having heard some good reviews we gave Bufala a try for pick up pizza. Our group ordered 5 - margherita; roasted pineapple & ham; pepperoni; Quattro formaggi and potato & n'duja pizza. Without a doubt the winners were the margherita and Quattro formaggi. In general the pizza are thin crust, oven roasted and good, but not really remarkable. The crust is wide, ratio of crust to centre is quite high. Unlike sone pizza that are tastier the next day, these were not. Glad we tried it but would not order again.

This place serves very good thin crust pizza and Tiramisu. When I went, it was very busy and my friends and I decided to get take out instead. The wait was not too long, only about 20 minutes from order to delivery. I had their version of Hawaiian and my friends had some special pork pizza and another pizza that came with a bunch of Arugula as a topping. They were all wonderful. But the best part was the Tiramisu! Their Tiramisu is heavenly!

Came here with the family for a birthday celebration. I finally got to confirmed the aromatic smell that sips out of this pizza parlour. The staff was very accommodating, and took care of our order very promptly. Our server was on top of all our orders as we had quite a number of pizzas. Here are the list: 1) Beet salad - Love 2) Caesar salad - I prefer romaine but they use Kale. My sister loves it though 3) Margherita pizza - Love 4) Pesto pizza 5) Hawaiian pizza 6) Pepperoni pizza 7) Margherita with anchovies 8) Artichoke olive pizza - Love 9) Carpaccio *feels like I'm missing one more pizza... We love the crust and all of us including my nieces really enjoyed their meal. I really like the tomato sauce on the pizza. It was fresh and tangy but not overpowering. The pizza has a good amount of grease and the cheeses were very good quality.

PRO: -This place is really yummy, taste-wise I was very happy with everything we ordered. I was ecstatic over the garlic on the Calabria. I LOVE GARLIC. CONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: -Quite frankly, overpriced considering the abundance of crust compared to the amount of toppings/middle part of the pizza. - Might ask for no bacon next time on the caesar salad because it's a good amount of salty as is, and the bacon makes it almost too salty.

Pepperoni pie with garlic and anchovies . Only for close dates ;)

So average. Way overpriced I'd rather spend my money on a $10 flatbread at Safeway. There is nothing special about this place.

The pizza was very tasty - crispy light crust and delicious flavorful meats. The sauce wasn't overly seasoned and was just the right amount. Very good pizza and not too expensive.

Both were great! The crust on the Hawaiian was a little better cooked than the other, but nothing that stops you from eating it. The yaletown park is right outside so great place to let kids run while you socialize Nothing too fancy, just a really good pizza place. This will be a good go-to since it's in our neighborhood.

We discovered AJ's while trying to find deep dish or Detroit pizza in Vancouver and all I want to…read moresay is that it is one of the best Detroit pizzas I have had, ever. It checks all of the boxes: thick, chewy, crispy, cheesy, saucy. One of my favorite pizzas is Detroit style pizza, which I actually discovered in Los Angeles, where I tried at no less than five different places. Most were really good, but AJ's Detroit pizza humbled all of the ones that are still there. I could have eaten half of it by myself. (The leftovers re-heated great and were just as satisfying the next day.) Note that AJ's regular pizza is great as well, but don't pass up the opportunity to enjoy their Detroit style.

A tale of two restaurants: the dine-in experience and the takeout experience aren't just polar…read moreopposites. They're at opposite ends of the solar system. Go in person. When the pizza comes straight out of that oven, piping hot and bubbly, it's an absolute revelation. Especially that Detroit style with the frico. Oh, man, is it ever good, and enough that you can cut the abrupt and often rude service some slack. Delivery from AJ's, by contrast, is one of the biggest mistakes you will ever make, as it's often painfully slow (like 90 min-2 hr slow). So, by the time your order arrives, and assuming you received the right order, it's often a lukewarm, rock hard and/or greasy mess and unrecognizable compared to what you can get dining in. For the price, you might as well light the money on fire. I haven't been back in a while because I've made it a rule not to order from here unless I have the time to physically go and eat it there. It is worth it to pay the premium for the product if you're going to consume it within a few minutes of it coming out of the oven. Otherwise, take a pass.

I didn't have very high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the pizzas here. They offer a variety of veggie and meat pizzas that can be made with regular crust or deep dish style. We ordered a small deep dish margharita ($19.99) and a medium deep dish butter chicken ($23.99) pizza. Both weren't true deep dish pizzas, but the crust was nice and thick. I'd recommend the pizzas here to anyone who likes a breadier crust. My only minor complaint is that the pizzas didn't have enough sauce to complement the thick crust. The pizzas kept well for leftovers too. They tasted just as good the next day heated up in our toaster oven.
