Need to update my review. Came here because, for some reason, this had fallen out of our rotation. They have the best wings in the area. Last night was no exception. We ordered 15 hot wings and 5 naked. I like the hot wings and was lucky enough to bring home some leftovers. The naked wings were for Mrs. K. As in the past, we have ordered their chocolate cake for dessert. One reason is that it mitigates the hot taste in your mouth. To our surprise, it's no longer available. In the chocolate category, you have two choices: lava cake and chocolate chip cheesecake. We spit the lava cake. While good, it was not as good as the chocolate cake. Eclectic dive bar on the downtown strip of Bonita. The food was all over the map for us - really liked the pulled pork and brisket, but the wings were scrawny and the cheeseburger wasn't cooked thoroughly. Ugh. Buffalo chips has a kitschy dive bar feel, with random pictures all over the wall, and an impressive amount of sports memorabilia. The owner is a huge Buffalo Bills fan, and appears to be from the Buffalo area, so I had high expectations for the wings. Man, I was not disappointed, we got the hot buffalo and zippy cajun wings, along with the Irish nachos with buffalo tenders on top. The wings were some of the best i've had in South Florida. They were sauced well, but still maintained a crispy exterior. Both sauces were great, but I preferred the Zippy Cajun. The Irish Nachos were another hit. Kettle chips drowned in nacho cheese, and topped with buffalo chicken tenders and blue cheese crumbles. The perfect appetizer to have with a few beers. The only downside was the service. To be fair, I visited on a Saturday night during a NCAA game, so the place was a madhouse. I felt like the waitress had a few too many tables, but tried her best. Unfortunately we ordered some fries and sides of blue cheese that never made it out of the kitchen, and drinks didn't get refilled. All in all, a great meal for a pretty reasonable price. Very thin and greasy sauce, decent amount of meat on the bones. They had a single beer from a local brewing company but otherwise regular beer menu. Nothing standout or impressive. Great fried green tomatoes, the wings are tasty and you can't beat the hamburger special! We visit a few times during the 7 day stay in Bonita springs every year. First time I've had bad service. The waitress was not pleasant at all. I ordered a taco salad with no pico. When she brought it, I asked if I could have some chopped tomatoes on top and she pretty much argued with me that I ordered no pico. There is a difference. I asked her about my avocado and she said that's extra although the menu says it's included. When she checked us out, she didn't even say thank you. My all time favorite place for wings! They're so good I'm not even sure if they have other food on the menu! We start with an onion. It's better than the original bloomin onion at Outback. For wings our favorite is a mix of zuppy Cajun + hot + garlic. They're delicious. Made fresh, sauced very well, just make sure to get a size of celery + blue cheese or ranch to temper the heat of the wings! The restaurant is very cramped. The decor is very eclectic. Found this buffalo backer bar on the official website and came here to watch the first sabres playoff game and they refused to put the game on for us, stating they didn't get the ESPN channel. We ended up paying and leaving and as we left, they put the game on one of the inside tv's. Felt like we were lied to. Food was okay. Server was very nice. read more

Wow!! I stopped at another place for lunch but they did cash only so I had to leave and I drove down the road and came up to this place so I stopped here. I had no idea this was what I found out. The whole thing was awesome. I always love local owned places rather than chain restaurants and the server is always my most important thing to get. We visited Buffalo Chips recently and unfortunately had a very "meh" experience. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated, even though there were plenty of open tables around us. Once seated, our server was wonderful--super sweet and attentive (wish I remembered her name!). The bigger issue was the kitchen. Half of our order was forgotten, which meant our appetizers and one of the main dishes didn't come out until about 20 minutes after the rest of the food. By then, we were already sharing chicken wings and decided to cancel the appetizers altogether. While the wings were not very good at all but the service from our waitress was great, the delays and missing dishes made the visit disappointing. We've been coming here for years and never had a bad meal. The wings are crispy and full of flavor, hands down the best in town Mondays are my favorite night to go, it's $1 wing night and there is live music at their new Tiki bar area. You can mix wing flavors, my favorite combo is medium garlic. For fries go with the curly or the chips, which aren't actually chip but flat round disc's of delious potato-y goodness. We met friends here for lunch. What an unexpected surprise. The restaurant is off the beaten path (old rt 41) and totally eclectic. The sports memorabilia alone makes this an interesting destination. But the foodis surprisingly good as well. The menu is extensive. Think good comfort food. I had fish and chips and my wife ordered pulled pork. Both meals were delicious and satisfying. From a value perspective, I give it two thumbs up. If you want a fun, local experience Buffalo Chips is a good choice. There is limited parking, so plan accordingly. read more

Customer Service I ordered wings asked for extra extra crispy. Waited for about 15 minutes. They came out. They still weren't cooked enough. Send them back to cook so more then somebody came out of the kitchen and said that they only cook the wings for 15 minutes and lucky we're not busy tonight, cause I cooked them for an extra three minutes He said on a busy night I have to eat them or don't order them that way. Food was very greasy and a lot of it was sadly lower quality. I didn't expect high quality ingredients here. We took our kids here for lunch and had a great experience. We sat outside at one of the bench style tables. Ice cold beer is served in mason jar style glasses. I got 10 wings tossed in the "killer" Buffalo sauce. They were crispy, hot, spicy, and full of meat. My wife got some mild Buffalo tenders and loved them. The kids menu is awesome because they have everything that kids love, and VERY affordable. The ONLY thing that wasn't great were the fried pickles and that's because I'm not a fan of the panko batter rather than traditional fry batter. I wish I didn't live so far away from Buffalo Chips. Tried Buffalo Chips for a second time for lunch. It's interesting layout. We came in and were invited to sit wherever we wanted. My wife was walking through an area that seemed logical to us only to be told to stop, that little walk way was for employees only! This person stopped 2 customers from entering that area and he seemed a little abrupt in my opinion. I also heard him swearing several times as well. Not sure that's necessary....just a side note sorry. The place seems pretty cramped. We sat at the bar. Bartender was nice and friendly. The food is just okay. I got a burger and the wife got the Roast beef sandwich. Burger was a little overcooked but it was good. The beef sandwich had a ton of spices and salt on the top of the bun. Buffalo Chips had always caught my attention--especially because of their motel. I mean, why would a restaurant need a motel? But honestly, they did not disappoint. The wings are crispy, juicy, and packed with meat, and their homemade sauces are a huge plus in my book. Their fish and chips are absolutely mouthwatering, and the honey mustard tartar sauce might throw you off at first, but don't knock it till you try it it's surprisingly delicious and works beautifully. We walked almost a mile to the restaurant from the Bonita Beer Fest at Riverside Park asked the bartender if the bar seats were first come, first service and she confirmed yes. We sat down and were then approached by the manger who informed us that "he knows the people that come from the those beer fests" and he would not serve us any alcohol. We were shocked to say the least and thought he was joking. It was not a Joke. We have never been denied service simply because we came from a Beer Fest. This was one of the most disrespectful actions by a manager that I have ever seen. No discussion and he did not even know if we were going to purchase an alcohol beverage. I was told about Buffalo Chips by family and my pregnancy cravings couldn't help it, I had to give it a try that very day. We came in for dinner on Sunday evening and were seating outside on the lanai! They had fans going and it was a cool evening, so it was perfect! Outside they have those ballpark type tables that make it very casual. We were greeted right away and our food was put in right away. It ended up coming out very quickly. The only mistake was they gave me the kid's portion of chicken tenders and I had to ask with it being my first time if that was really the "large" portion of chicken tenders. They ended up bringing out two more pieces quickly which was perfect for me. They do not skimp on the celery. Holy cow. They brought out more celery than wings and chicken tenders. I loved the chicken tenders - they are hand breaded and the seasoning is perfect. It satisfied every pregnancy craving. The curly fries were excellently seasoned and hit the spot. Everyone liked their choices: wings and the buffalo chicken wrap. I was told by friends and family to not be too adventurous with your choices and to stick with wings, fries, chicken tenders or burgers.
