On vacation with family and scrambled for a last minute reservation on Easter evening. Res was for 7, didn't get seated until 7:30. Not a big deal as it was at capacity and a holiday. Seated at 730, drink order wasn't taken until 744, and this became a theme for the night. Drinks came a while later. Bread was provided after the drinks--but we had been seated well over 25 minutes now. Order was not taken for over 30 minutes. Appetizers came out relatively quickly and were good (4/5). The tomatoes were green house tomatoes though which really bugged me for southern Florida and the price point. Just plain greedy prices for Sysco food service quality ingredients. Entrees came about 90 minutes after we were seated. Wife and I had to do some serious damage control with the kids, but we brought them so that's on us. The entrees were good, but marked up considerably. I suspect they prey on tourists like us and just charge high in hopes of the perceived quality. My steak was very good I'll admit. But I filled up on the table bread because it all took so dang long. Also it was a limited menu--maybe because of Easter? But with limited options the kitchens job should be streamlined a lot better to avoid such a long wait time for the food. Started this review with a 4 star rating, as I thought about it, I downgraded it to a 3 due to high cost, mediocre waiter service and very slow food service. We were seated immediately and as we looked over the menus our waitress got our drinks...Perfect Makers Manhattan, Prosecco, and a Chardonnay for Wifey. I couldn't pass up the Special - short ribs with mashed and asparagus, Wifey had the Seafood pasta, my son had Ribeye with a baked potato, and my daughter had Stuffed shrimp with baked potato. So this place def looks dated and like the Naples of the late 80s early 90s but we had a great meal. Most of us opted for the sizzle menu of either kind and also for some ribs. We all got to try a lot of different things between the special dining menu. We had the Buffalo twists, the saganaki, the French onion soup all good a flavorful the warm bread and better was tasty too. I never thought I'd say this but the soup may have had too much cheese. Like I couldn't get thru it all but it was yummy. For entrees we had the short rib, the ribs, and the pepper steak. All good and they allowed us to make substitutions for the sides which was great. They are incredible! We had our rehearsal dinner there as we had a destination wedding in Naples. From start to finish, Paige (our point of contact) at Watermark was communicative, accommodating, responsive and flexible. The food was AHMAZING and our guests raved about it. We ate here Saturday night and we wanted To come here to try out a new restaurant. Me and my husband were out on an occasional date night expecting our night to be pleasant until it wasn't. We were greeted very nicely by a sweet hostess that gave a beautiful table to sit at with a view of the fountains. I applaud the hosts for that. However, The food was absolutely terrible, my husband got the lobster dinner and we were promised that the Lobster itself was 2 pounds. However, when we got it, the lobster was mainly shell and barely any meat. You couldn't eat anything from the head so the lobster was more display than an actual plate. my husband was also greeted with only about 3 pieces of "broccolini". Another thing I noticed was that none the servers looked very happy at their jobs and all miserable. I also noticed who I think are the managers/ owners don't look happy either. The staff should smile more at this place!!!!. Overall the ambiance of this place is not good and people would rather go to a restaurant where everyone looks happy and are not miserable to be at. Was given mixed reviews from friends but after several years of passing it on RT 41 we figured why not give it a try. Unfortunately, not so good. The reason why 2 stars and not zero was because the drinks were good, the onion soup and wedge salad were good. Wife ordered the crab cakes. She said they were mushy and flat like a pancake. She picked at them but never really ate them. I ordered the filet medium rare. It came out still alive, raw. The server was shocked and immediately took it back and returned with a whole new steak. This one was cooked correctly but was much smaller and was missing the mushrooms and sauce. The consistency of the filet was strange almost like slicing a marshmallow. I gave it my all to try to enjoy it but it was impossible to get past the consistency/texture. I sent mine back (I ordered med -medium rare I wanted a warm pink center) to be cooked longer and it was still too raw. My Sister boxed hers up and brought it home to cook the next night. Atrocious service from Miranda! My family and I have been dining at this restaurant for over 20 years. Although the food quality is not great and it's certainly overpriced, my husband and I enjoy the old restaurant feel, the lighted décor, many of their dishes and the nostalgia of having celebrated many special occasions with our girls in this restaurant through the years. We have never minded the delays from course to course or the sometimes inattentive servers. Actually, we have had very good servers like Beth most of the times, and we like to reward their efforts generously. Last night, we were celebrating my husband's birthday. I called ahead to request that the servers sang him happy birthday with his favorite dessert, Crème Brulee, but instead, the server, Miranda, arrived with a dessert that looked like white milk on a dish. I thought the caramelized sugar topping was missing and I commented to her that it didn't look like Crème Brulee. Miranda answered rudely, "wait a minute I will torch it now!" Her sudden and rude change of attitude took us by surprise; and I answered her that it looked totally uncooked, to which she answered that it was just frozen as she stuck her finger in it. I was surprised, but also touched it and it felt like just cold milk, and I told her. She was angry and said that it wasn't a big deal and she would bring out something else. She stormed away without even asking us what we wanted as a replacement. A while later, she returned with a slice of Key Lime pie on the previously nicely decorated plate that said "Happy Birthday!" Instead of offering an apology, she threw it on the table and angerly said, "Here, happy birthday! At that point, I had enough! I told her that her service sucked, and that no customer deserved the contemptuous treatment we received from her. I asked her to call the manager. She answered that she was not going to be disrespected by a customer. I told her neither were we! She left very angry and we waited for the manager to appear. When she finally did, she had an angry face on, obviously, biased by the story the server must have given her and told us that she would not have "her servers disrespected." I had to beg her to listen to the facts. I explained the events and her reply was that the server was right! That servers do not have to sing happy birthday to the customers. I replied that just a few minutes earlier, several servers had sang happy birthday to the table in back of us. She explained that it was the individual server's choice to do it or not. I also told her that the server did not give us a choice of a replacement for the uncooked dessert. She said that she didn't have to. I told her we didn't like Key Lime pie, and she said that it was the chef's decision what to replace a dish with. I told her that I had never heard something so ridiculous, that it wasn't free and we didn't want it. I asked her to be empathetic and tell us if she would appreciate going to a restaurant and getting the treatment we got? She never conceded and said she would talk to the chef. When she returned, she just said, "here, you go!" We were charged for everything, including the dessert we couldn't eat, and God knows what else. She handed us the bill and I just gave her my card. She returned shortly after and I made the decision to not leave any tip. I wrote on the tip part $0.0 and the words, "here you go!" Sadly, we had a really bad experience. The treatment we got was rude, and felt discriminatory. Perhaps they don't like well dressed, well-mannered, Cuban-American professionals living in Naples. We will never set foot in this place again! There are better choices, stay away in case something about you angers these servers. This is not a first time visit to Watermark Grille. Every visit has always been perfect. The food and service are wonderful. The server was attentive and spoke easily about the specials. The filet was cooked perfectly! The sauce beneath the filet was a little salty in my opinion. But it didn't distract from the meal it self. The cheesecake was decadent and smooth. The touch of strawberries was perfect. The restaurant is nice and quiet so you can hold a conversation at the table. Unfortunately recent visit did not follow the typical visits of the past. Everything was going to expectations until my wife got her main. Ribeye mid rare. First attempt was closer to well done. Sent back. The next attempt was rare, ice cold center. At least that can be fixed at home. Whoever was on the steak station Feb 20 needs a major lesson on how to cook a steak to proper temps on equipment available or moved to something more simple or fired. Heard great reviews about this place so decided to try it out. Our group of 5 got seated right away with no problem. The restaurant was nice and clean. I was not a big fan of the blue and purple/pink lights all over but most people seem to like it. Our waiter was very nice and brought us bread and butter as we looked through the menu. To start off, we ordered some calamari which I thought was just ok. The sauce was plain ole marinara. Afterwards we ordered the main dishes. I decided on the London Broil. It was a decent sized dish. Food came out hot and within a reasonable timeframe. The baked potato was very good. It's marketed as a "loaded potato" but all it really had was cheese and bacon (ton of bacon). The meat was good and the asparagus was delicious! The lobster tail was okay. Nothing spectacular. Way overpriced for what it was. Same with the seafood platter. Overpriced for what it was. I enjoyed my pomegranate martini. It had a good amount of alcohol in it and I could taste the pomegranate as well. Cheesecake was good! Anniversary dinner celebration. We were greeted and seated right away even though we were early. Our waitress Jen(or Jenn) was awesome. Personable, informative, efficient, caring. What more could you want in a server? Nothing as far as I'm concerned. The food: my prime was delicious. Cooked perfectly medium, green beans slightly al dente(just the way I like them) and a yummy baked potato. I don't usually eat dessert but the Reese's PB pie...OMGosh, so good. Hubby also enjoyed everything about his Rib eye meal and declared the Key Lime Pie to be one of the better ones he's had in the area(his praise). My family and I decided to grab a late night dinner here on a Friday night, and man oh man, great choice! Gorgeous restaurant located in a strip mall with ample parking. Upon walking in we were greeted by the hosts (safe guarded plexiglass in front) and seated within minutes. I live in Miami and even with a reservation that never happens. Our server, Jessica, was amazing! Super attentive and very friendly. I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Jessica suggested adding the blackened seasoning because it's a nice flavor boost.
