They had to replace a few parts and part of doing so meant they had to go around to every baseboard and let air out. They were able to find a new board on Thursday morning and installed it at 10AM. We can not say enough about the level of service as well as knowledge of the unit. My husband reached out to New Era and reported the problem - it was after 5:00 pm and the woman he spoke to took his number and said she'd get back to him. We had little faith that we'd hear anything back, but were surprised to receive a call back within the half hour with the news that John would be over within the next 20 minutes. John was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond. Our furnace was beyond repair (It was 20+ years old), but he somehow got it to partially operate to get us through the weekend. He also assisted in getting our fireplace going so that we would have adequate heat. We made arrangements to purchase a new furnace (at a price that was considerably lower than what we had been quoted by T-Mark a few months earlier) and promised that he would be back first thing Monday morning. He wouldn't accept payment for the service call that night. On Sunday evening we received a phone call from Bev who was calling to check on us, and to confirm that John would be over at 9:00 am on Monday. We had about a foot of snow that fell overnight and my husband and boys were out shoveling at about 8:00 am when John arrived. Rather than leave and come back an hour later, or sit in his warm truck, he asked if they had an extra shovel and helped them clear the driveway! John got quickly to work removing our old furnace and installing the new one - he also replaced the humidifier filter and made sure that everything was operating correctly. While i pray that we won't have another heating issue anytime soon, I intend to contact New Era again in the spring to replace our AC unit. I would also wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone else with an HVAC need!

Turns out, we had several plugged drains in the house and needed them to come out twice to get it all done. So, the reason I'd take off a star is that they didn't fully check all of the water ins and outs before work started, and after the first day of work completed. Because if they did, the second day would not have been needed. The other thing I'll mention - but not take away another star for - is that they didn't clean the shower bathtub sufficiently to remove the mess made by their snake. Our bathtub was bright white and clean before, and now has a bit of a brown discoloration where the snake residue came up and splattered onto. We are prob going to need to do another round of cleaning to get it back the way it was. In truth, a 5 star service shouldn't need 2+ rounds of cleaning after. That's why I'd keep the rating at 4 stars, but no higher than that. A more critical customer I could understand giving 3 stars (average) at most. Check out the photo, and you be the judge. But all in all, thanks for the quick service and getting the job done!

Thus, I knew I could trust Rick, and I called him promptly. He came over on Sunday, told me my furnace was pretty much unfixable (which I had been told a few weeks prior by another furnace repairman), and said he would make time for me the next day to install a new one if I wanted.
