However after driving for an hour with over $5/gallon in gas to this Location, I was utterly disappointed that "Denise" did not buy even one with the branded clothing and men's shoes. I had originally folded all nicely especially the dress shirts and she just refolded it to get more creased so I had to refold it as should and not just shoved back in the bag.... As a buyer, I had found some good stuff in the past but I dared not look today since I didn't have creditshe said u should have called first...well I did. I own a fashion company that rents out to movie sets and always have an over abundance of wardrobe left over from photo shoots, videos, and cast fittings. I usually use 2 places to exchange my left over wardrobe for new productions to come, Buffalo exchange being 1 location and the other I will remain disclosed as they have pretty much lost my business. Why did they lose my business? Bc we drive from LA to Fullerton to do these exchanges/trade ins. The other establishment has been great, but recently the buyer I have had to deal with has been far below our expectations. They fail to unfold most of the items to even see what they are, they have combined our merchandise with other clients merchandise, they have put wrong buy in tickets with wrong bins, and this last time they were trash talking most of the clients items right in front of their faces. This buffalo location will now be our number 1 choice. Why? Bc the manager (she had a bandana on the last day we came in) who has been the person we have dealt with has gone above and beyond to welcome each and every person who walks through the door. She and the rest of the staff goes through each and every item throughly and then will explain why some of the items weren't taken in a tasteful and very respectful way. The item staff is super professional and you can tell that they are trained VERY well! Thank you so much Buffalo exchange Fullerton. You guys are on your game. I ended up going to this store yesterday to get rid of some clothes I had cleaned out of my closet. Off of the recommendation of my girlfriend, she said to give it a try, so I brought a lot of button downs and long sleeves. Their website said that they will only take things that "will do well" in their store... whatever that is suppose to mean. I decide to come in later in the day after I was off of work and i was fortunate that there was not a line to sell. Which was a plus, since I called in the day prior and they said most of the time they have a long wait to sell (about 45 minutes to an hour). The staff was definitely good people, so they weren't the problem. I had a nice conversation with the guy that was looking at the clothes. The real issue is how they price out the clothes you're selling to them, they give you 50% store credit or 25% cash for the items you sell to them... I don't understand why I would want store credit when I am clearly getting rid of extra clothes? Also, another thing is that they go off of their own opinion on what will "sell or move" in the store, so I brought in about 35 pieces of clothing just to see. Some were t-shirts I had a feeling would be given back, but most were very high quality name brand items. They gave me back more than half of my clothes because it wouldn't sell in their eyes. The ones they took they priced out as $120 store credit or $60 cash. One particular item I brought it had a tags still on it, was never worn and brand new for $170. They offered me $10 for this item cash... pretty ridiculous if you ask me. I would recommend if you're desperate to sell, it's not ideal to sell your items at but you can make some quick cash if you have items that fit their store. I sold my first item today and left so happy after my experience! I had received these awesome star print cowgirl boots for Christmas but unfortunately they weren't my size and the seller wouldn't let me exchange them. I had no friends or family that size shoe and or interest in that style. I last minute decided to sell them at this location. I waited no longer then 10 minutes and sold them for a fair price considering they have to make a profit. I ended up using my store credit and found a brand new pair of cowgirl boots that were my size! So coincidental! All the workers were so nice and helpful. As I was leaving, I was told by a worker that 3 of the employees were already interested in the boots I sold them. Love it! Came in with my gf to try to sell brand new $200 Doctor Marten boots (the latest ones that came out) that I chose to sell because they were a gift and weren't my style, I was only offered $11 for them. I also brought a Walter Baker jacket to sale and was offered close to nothing for it. I'm really into fashion and know for a fact that both these items would immediately sell. I just think what happened was that the girl at the counter didn't personally like my gf and chose to give us a hard time because we came in 1hr before they close and they already had a line of sellers waiting. I had clothes from size 3-XXL and she said they were styles that weren't moving. I have been here multiple times to purchase clothes. Giving this a 1 star for the service I just received for resale to the store. Really horrible experience. When I walked in I noticed there was a long line for resale and no one helping out at the resale counter. Directly in front of the counter I see two "Managers" chatting it up. I go to them to ask if we can get some help and the blonde one with the star eye tattoo finally starts to help the line that had been sitting there with no attention for 20 minutes. She helped out for about 30 minutes while an employee took her break and as soon as that employee came back the Manager stepped away and shared with us that there will be a 30-40 minute wait. Instead of 2 staff helping out at the counter, she decides that 1 is enough despite the long line. Horrible experience selling here. I will not be coming back. read more

Came here last week with my daughter for old memories - I'd shop here when they first started out in the early to mid 2000s, when I was still young & had my shape & when my girls where tweens and now fast forward years later; they're grown up & still keeping up with the trendy styles & I'm just with them as I am too old as sh&% now to shop there. Well, sadly it's not the same as back then. The variety was so-so, prices are up to speed with other vintage shops, but honestly you can find some items on the resell apps for less. Employees are not customer service oriented or nor friendly. And my 22 yr old brought up the time we came in with a bag of her converse shoes, high & low tops, different colors, Vans & some labels she got at West Hollywood consignment shop and how they told us the only item that would sell was the one pair of converse that were unique but that the other shoes were worn (not true, they were hardly worn or new) & tops weren't recognized. Jaw drop...... Needless to say we all agreed this shop is a thing of the past, just not a fun place to buy anymore or sell (Believe me, you do a whole lot better on the reseller apps-Depop/Poshmark/Mercari Vinted etc. Too bad a good thing never lasts read more

This store has significantly gone down in quality over the last 10 years or so. They went from selling quality made vintage clothing to selling trash like SHEIN and Fashion Nova. The store is understaffed because they don't have enough people to check out customers and evaluate clothes for sale. They used to have a good system during COVID where you made appointments to sell, and that seemed very efficient and I don't know why they got rid of that. Again, they're accepting clothing from so many fast fashion brands now, you're better off buying direct rather than at this store for a mark up. This store has lost its charm and value, now it's just tacky and overpriced. read more

The staff was friendly and the store was stocked with all sorts really fun women's wear ( I didn't really pay too much to men's selection though). Yesterday I was shopping in the store and the staff was discussing loudly, right in front of me, how Juneteenth shouldn't be a real holiday and how it was just made a holiday to shut black people up. As my tall black self is standing right there shopping, trying to mind my business but the loud rudeness was clearly on purpose and intentionally for me to hear it Smh. I ended up putting my items I had saved to buy down and left Smh. Have gone into the store to sell items several times. The check-in process was orderly and efficient. Sometimes there is a wait; however the staff told me the approximate wait time. The buyers were informative and fair about the items they want to purchase. Comments about items which were rejected (not in good condition, not current, not high quality) were useful in determining future items to bring. The manager, Sage, was particularly helpful. I was able to clear out my closet and get some cash for my efforts. Very happy with this location. read more

Stood in line to trade clothes for an hour (3 people in front of me) had to give up once to go to another appointment. Then came back after waited another hour. The woman in front of me has 10 bags. The cashier keeps socializing and it took so long I thought about giving up again. They didn't take one piece of clothing from me after all that. Just donate to a charity. Parking in the free public lot behind the store was a challenge on a rainy Fri Nite. 25 min to closing after I finally found a spot, I trudged through the downpour wrestling my arms full of my carefully selected clothes in search of new owners. I entered the store and was greeted cheerily immediately. The buyers examine ea item thoroughly and explain what is selling and what to look for as to why items are accepted or declined. They paid me for 5 or 6 items about $16 cash total. I was also offered instead $ 35 store credit. I knew better as even tho I spotted some cool Items, my program is one way- out of my closet and hopefully into someone else's to spark some joy. I left with most of what I brought. Some posters appear to be offended that their prized possessions were not accepted. I had plans for items declined so as far as I was concerned,, I was ahead on my exit and grateful. This is the WORST buffalo exchange. The employees think they are SO COOL when they really are not. I waited over 20 minutes to have my bag of clothes looked through by a girl with long black hair who literally looked like she woke up 5 minutes before coming to her shift. While she was extremely nice and friendly to any other "grunge" looking sellers, she took look one look at my more "preppy" appearance and barely looked at my clothes. Mind you I had expensive brands like RAILS, FREE PEOPLE, and other nordstrom brands but she didn't even unfold some of the pieces. She said they were "over saturated" on the items I brought it. So dumb because only 3 months prior with a different buyer, they bought over $100 dollars worth of clothes. Went here with a bag full of brand name jeans and pants (e.g. AG, Paige, MOTHER, etc.) and all were turned down because they are not in style. Lol......They are mostly in excellent condition and each worth $150+ new but okay. Offered me $5 for a (barely worn) pair of Lululemon leggings. I walked out without selling anything. This place is very clean and organized. Went to sell some clothes but they are very picky. If you go to sell there make sure you take vintage clothes otherwise they won't take your modern clothes. I'm in the process of moving. Needed to clean out my closet and purge some clothing I don't wear or should have returned when I first purchased. Anyway I had a really positive selling experience! Made my appt online and was right on time. I had my clothes in a basket so it was easy to look at. She went through it one by one and by the end of it, I could tell what they're looking for. The Manager was really sweet and made great convo while looking through my items. She took some clothes and I got $97 cash back. Tips: I think I had a successful experience because I really took the time to choose what clothes to bring. I made sure it was not worn out and still in style. Most items I brought were brand name: Steve Madden, roxy, billabong, madewell and some boutique stuff. Honestly, I prob could have made a few dollars more if I sold stuff online but I really hate doing that and don't have the time for it right now so this was a perfect experience for me. Buffalo exchange had been a great place to find some good deals on clothes, and usually with great customer service. My opinion had changed after today as a man with braids, pardon as I don't know his name, who was working had gave my girlfriend a dirty look and muttered something under his breath. He made her feel insecure and belittled. I will not support a company that hires people of his nasty attitude, and neither should anyone else. If they are okay with employing those who turn others away and make their potential customers uncomfortable, who knows who else they're hiring. I'm not entirely sure if his motivation was due to ignorance or racist ideals, but it was perceived that way. There needs to be consequence. Don't give your money to this company. read more

I always get a great balance of customer service here (letting me do my thing and being there right when I need them.) . During my last visit Alondra helped me, and went over and beyond at helping me find what I ended up leaving with. She's always kind, enjoying her work, and considerate. I love coming here to buy new clothes that are trendy. After going to various other thrift shops in the area buffalo exchange is by far the best in quality of the pieces they have available. The amount of clothes they have is fairly low compared to places like uptown cheapskate and goodwill, but what they have to offer is very trendy. The cost of each item is very fair and exactly what I expect of a thrift shop. Here you can find expensive name brands shirts and jeans for $10-$20. Selling here is definitely difficult as they are very picky about what they take and what they don't take which is great as a buyer since I know whatever is on the floor is only the best of the best. The staff is very friendly and also knowledgeable about the current styles. read more
