This is a fan favorite in my family. However tonight I went on a busy Friday night for a dinner meeting and the service was still excellent from start to finish. I was able to join the waitlist from home as I saw they had a 40-50 minute wait. Once I arrived and checked in with the house we were seated within about 25 minutes. Joined waitlist from home at 6:42pm, arrived at 7:05pm and checked in and was seated at 7:36pm. The place was busting at the seams so the online waitlist was pretty accurate in comparison to other places that let you join the waitlist early. Been purchasing the $1000 gift pack each winter for 3 years now. So obviously we go here alot. Today was the worst. Over cooked cheese sticks to the point the cheese was hone and we had fried hollow breading. Steak way over cooked tasted like char. Kids chicken way over cooked, was tough and chewy. Refreshments (Tea and cola) drinks delivered in under 2 mins. as ordered and placed correctly. The Waitstaff was a good memory and she was a trainee we were told. We ordered 16 oz Rib-Eye steaks, potatoes and 2 large Onion Blossoms both cooked extra crispy. Sides items depended on the family member, but most picked Corn. Everything was 10/10 Much better than other local Steak Places. Something to think about. This establishment never disappoints (in my opinion). Me and my sister sat at the bar because the wait was 35-45 minutes. The bartender was very attentive and nice! Our food came out a little slow, but it was expected for a busy Friday night. Everything was delicious, from the fresh rolls to the Caesar salad to the porterhouse steak! Went here on New Year's Eve for dinner with my Mom and 10 yr old Grandson! The ambiance was nice, it was busy! My Mom and I ordered Beef tips medium well with mushrooms/brown gravy sauce and broccoli/French fries. My Grandson ordered Fried pickles (with ranch), they were seasoned well, he also ordered corn and Mac n cheese and French fries. He returned the corn (not to his liking). I enjoyed Texas Roadhouse after this first experience. It has a very lively atmosphere which is why my mom wanted us to come. The staff is super friendly and everyone seems to be having a good time. I enjoyed everything I ordered. The steak was flavorful. I will say I ordered it medium and it came out more medium well though but I enjoyed it. The ribs were definitely the best part of my meal though. They were soft, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I will say our waitress was very MIA though. We constantly had to ask other servers to find her and still it felt like we had to wait forever. However, overall I enjoyed my experience due to the food and environment. Had a good night out with some of my family, Texas Roadhouse always seems inviting, and has a nice atmosphere. Our service was good, our server was nice and made recommendations. I ordered a 27oz Hand-Cut steak from the front with loaded mashed potatoes with seasoned rice as well and a Caesar Salad. My wife and her cousin had the margaritas and had a ribs plate they shared with fries covered in cheese and bacon. All the food was prepared well. And the only thing that kept this from being a 5 star was our food didn't all come out at the same time. read more

I don't give many 5 stars to mid level steak houses, but these guys really knocked it pit of the park. I put them to the test on Father's Day. The place was rocking and a great opportunity for things to go wrong, but it was just the opposite. The server was amazing and I even a special request for my steak and it came out perfect. Amazingly everything went perfect from beginning to end. Kudos to the team and hence the reason why this place is always busy. So we had just went to this restaurant, wait time was bout 40-50 mins which I understood cause it was busy Saturday afternoon. What I don't understand was the awful experience me and my family had at the restaurant. Once we placed our order we did not see our sever AT ALL for the hour we spent waiting for something to show. We saw a whole table get seated, drinks and than get there food before we even got our drinks. We saw our server maybe 3 times that whole time that we were there. I visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. My party of three was seated at 7:30 PM and we did not leave until 9:30 PM. During that entire two-hour visit, my food was never prepared correctly, and I ultimately left hungry after only having appetizers. Two of us ordered the 20 oz bone-in ribeye, cooked medium. One steak was prepared correctly, but mine came out extremely well done. I sent it back, and it took 45 minutes for it to return--only for it to still be well done with no pink in the center. Our waitress, Savanna, was very sympathetic and professional, and she acknowledged that the steak was not cooked to medium. However, the manager (Aryanna) who came to the table was rude, dismissive, and clearly did not care about the situation. She insisted the steak was cooked correctly despite both the waitress and myself pointing out that there was no pink in the center. They then asked if I wanted the steak recooked a third time, but when I asked whether there would be any type of discount for the inconvenience and long wait, I was told no and that I would still have to pay full price. At that point, we paid the bill, tip and all despite the poor service. This was a very frustrating experience, made worse by poor management and lack of accountability. It's so loud in here, you can't even hold a conversation with the people at your table. I don't understand why so many restaurants think background music should cover the sound of talking with your table. Also, I ordered a medium-rare steak and got one that was charred and beyond well-done. When I mentioned it to the server, the manager came to the table and was very pleasant and apologized and said he would personally bring me the replacement. I visited the Texas Roadhouse in McDonough, GA, and unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. Our waitress mentioned that she "knew" I was 21 but never asked to verify my ID, which felt unprofessional and made me uncomfortable, especially with my family present. Service overall was very slow. It took a long time for both our food and drinks to arrive, and by the time everything came out, the experience just felt frustrating. I usually enjoy Texas Roadhouse, but this location really needs to work on their service and professionalism. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because it definitely wasn't the welcoming, efficient atmosphere I was hoping for. read more

Went yesterday 5PM on just a reg thursday. When we walked in people were waiting in the overflow and just standing. While the wife was talking to the rep I looked around and stopped counting when I counted 15 tables empty. That combined with the rep saying it would be 15 to 25 mins pissed me off. The icing on the cake was asking for my cell phone number so they can TEXT us when its our turn. Like hell. You dont need my cell number. My experience at Texas Roadhouse this evening was disappointing and how it was handled even more so. I will start by saying whenever I have a minor issue at a restaurant (as someone who spends 4 days a week on the road for work, I eat out a lot!), I typically share my feedback after I pay because I want the restaurant to know it was genuine and I am not looking to get something out of it. But tonight's issue was a big enough deal I felt the need to speak with the manager immediately. First, I ordered the Filet medium rare and it arrived very rare. I can eat undercooked, but this didn't look cooked at all. With Texas Roadhouse specifically where this issue is more common than at other steakhouse, I weight my options careful as most of the time if I ask them to book it just a little more, it comes back well done. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground. But I asked for it to be corrected, my waitress was super nice and not a problem. It came back between medium rare and medium which was fine with me. They also brought fresh fries which I appreciated. This wasn't the main issue. While waiting for the filet to be cooked a bit more, I reached over to my Applesauce which had a spoon inside of it when brought to the table, and took a big portion and placed it in my mouth. I knew immediately something was wrong. When I removed the spoon, it was covered almost entirely with either cookie or Brownie or something. I don't mean it had a few bits and was not washed properly, I meant it was clearly never even washed at all. And knowing someone else's unwashed spoon was in my mouth was disgusting and still bothers me hours later even though I know the risk of transmitting anything is pretty low. I politely asked for the manager, who couldn't have been nicer. She apologized, and I asked for a new Applesauce and spoon which she immediately took care of, with more apologies. To my earlier comment, I am not normally one to ask for anything, and I didn't ask for anything here (other than fresh Applesauce, a clean spoon and corrected filet), but I was absolutely shocked the restaurant didn't offer me a free dessert or side or something, or maybe a discount on my bill. But when it came, full price. I paid, still tipped appropriately as it wasn't the servers fault, and left incredibly disappointed. This post isn't about the accident, these things happen- the place was packed and I am sure the workers were doing their best. But something this significant should have resulted in a discount or something in my personal opinion. My employer pays for my meals, so this isn't about the money but rather how it was handled. read more

And today started off great, but our meal ended with a roach crawling up my leg. Told our waiter and they told the manager and they took 50% off our bill. Very nice of them, but meal was ruined after that. A few other customers saw it and said something to us and the staff. Staff was understandable about it and very apologetic. I dined in at Texas Roadhouse Mcdonough last Saturday night with a party of five. We used the online feature that allows you to check in and begin your wait time! It was convenient and the app texted my brother in law once it was time for us to head over. Upon arriving to the restaurant, it took less than five minutes to be seated. It was busy and crowded, but the staff was welcoming and friendly. I overheard the crew singing two guests happy birthday while dining in and the team really seemed to enjoy themselves. Our server was nice and she checked on us even though things took a while to come out. Once seated, I had to use the restroom and she provided the table with four rolls. When I returned from the restroom, the rolls were gone. It took 15 minutes for more rolls to come out and they were undercooked a tad. The third batch came out after we were nearly done with entrees, but were cooked right. For my appetizer, I ordered the twisted cheese and decided to have the the 14 oz ribeye with a sweet potato and broccoli for my entree. All four were delicious. My son helped me eat the twisted cheese and he loved the sauce too. I have no complaints about the food (aside from the rolls). Overall, I'd return because this location's food was good. read more
