I would definitely stay here again if I was traveling. But I would definitely book online versus over the phone. It was very hard to understand the lady in the office and she was talking really slow.... I let her know I was traveling and I needed to make the reservation quick as I was driving. I booked the deluxe cabin and it was super cute. Bonus that they have a laundry room that's open 24 hours and they had a mini fridge that has a freezer. I say that because I've been traveling across country staying at hotels or other KOA is that don't have ice so I have to go to the gas station to fill my ice chest where the ice is melted in a couple hours. Versus if I have my own freezer and it works good then frozen water bottles last longer. They also have a little fire pit area, playground for the kids, and a pool. We didn't use any of those but it's a great option. Just down the road is two gas stations, a couple restaurants and a McDonald's. So there's not a ton to eat around here. Make sure you go early because a lot of places close early if you wanna eat. It was nice and quiet other than the frogs and crickets. You'll see some interesting bugs and beetles around here also. read more

Great find for a two night stop, park is small and most sights are on an angle so bring your jack pads you'll need them for the front. Laundry room has 4 washers and two big industrial driers. Staff is friendly, grounds are pretty and you can get pizza delivered to your rv. Definitely stop in here if your ready to get off the road. We will be back if ever in the area again. read more

We have stayed at this KOA many times over the years passing through. The sites are gravel and many not level. It is also hilly and very close to the interstate. We made an online reservation this time paying more for a concrete patio site. We pulled in late after dark and saw ice and snow covering the entire campground. We should have backed up and left but it was already late. The roads were not treated with anything. The overnight temperatures were well below zero and in the low 20's. We attempted to reach the office and owner early in the morning and didn't receive a response. We went to the office in the morning to ask if they were going to treat the roads so we could be on our way. The co-owner stated he wasn't going to treat the roads and he would wait until the snow and ice melted. Several people were outside the office and said they weren't pleased that the roads hadn't been treated either. We were able to get out of the campground being very cautious. Would not recommend staying here. The campground should have called us to tell us about the conditions of the road. read more

Disclaimer: This was our first stay with KOA so we expected it to be like other campgrounds we have stayed in. We stayed in a Kamping Kabin. (KK1) Pros: It was clean, easy to check-in after hours, and offered plenty of things to do for those staying more than one night. Cons: i40 was like twenty steps from my pillow. ProTip: If you are looking to stay somewhere quick overnight, this is great. However, if you are looking to experience "the great outdoors" I would suggest something different. You can actually stay in a decent hotel with a private bathroom for what we paid to stay in the Kamping Kabin. After a full day on the road, all I can say is "hell yes." This KOA was our first stop on a two-week trip and it couldn't have been more cozy. Not only are KOAs cheap for tent camping, but they are really nice. Ummm...this one has a pool. That is freaking amazing. It was chilly and a perfect match for the warm summertime heat. We swam and loved every bit of it. The campsite itself was nicely outfitted. Only a tiny bit of trash to be spotted, but nothing to really attract critters. Biggest downside was the juxtaposition to the highway. It's LOUD. Just be warned. I sleep fine through that kind of noise, but if you're a light sleeper you may have some issues. I'd camp here again in a heartbeat. Great spot. Thanks, KOA! read more

Such a fantastic campground. We were supposed to stay two nights and it turned into an 8 night mini vacation. The owners Tom and Pat go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable, happy and know of things to do in the area. Tom made my kids week giving them rides on the tractor, and paying them for helping him clean up fallen sticks in candy and quarters for the awesome old 80s videos games. We stayed in cabins 3&4 because there is 6 of us, they had no issue with us putting the picnic tables together and pretty much making the place "home" for the week. Tom is up working from about 7am until dark cleaning, doing chores and running back to the office when someone needs him. He is never hard to find should an emergency arise. We loved it so much, we're coming back in May!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Tom and Pat for making our week amazing. read more

The campground was really nice, very clean, with a friendly staff. It even had an air conditioned bathroom (yay!)... BUT. No way would I stay here (in a tent) again. Be aware that if you're tent camping, those spots are right next to the interstate. It was incredibly loud and hard to sleep where we were in spot 14.. I'm not sure why they put the tents, with the least sound barrier, in the loudest part of the campground. I was only able to sleep for about an hour. Lesson learned- pick a spot farther from the road if you're in a tent and a light sleeper. read more

Wow is what I have to say the there are new owners and the campground looks clean and well maintained. We have been very positive surprised with the friendliness we received they went out of the way to help us getting the RV. Car and trailer for the Motorbike fit on the site We will be going there again soon read more

The pool was great! Unfortunately, we were tent camping and those sites were nearest the highway so there was no rest with the noises of large trucks all night. The price for a simple tent site was also pretty steep- $28.20 seemed very high for what we got. read more

Fast forward 4 years. New owners. Much improved. The riff raff seems to have been run off. Basically same time of year. 4 years ago, lots of empty space. The park is now full. 4 stars vs 5 has nothing to do with the park. Like so many parks, there is road noise from I-40. Certainly not their fault. read more

Like other reviewers, we arrived late to find that the tent camping sites are a very short distance from the highway. You can forget about sleeping, as the sound of semi trucks air braking down the hill and accelerating up the hill is continuous and relentless throughout the night. They should not have camp sites this close to a highway. They should be at the rear of the property. Poorly thought out. Could have camped out on the highway median for free. Just the nicest people here. Camp sites are nice. A little trouble with satellite tv, because of the trees but their cable works great. Fun to go see Loretta Lynn's grounds while you are here. Laundry room clean and good prices to wash and dry. Didn't use the pool but it looks great. Grounds are kept up very well. Definitely will come back again. read more

Stopped here for 1 night while passing through TN. Easy access off I-40 and convenient to Loretta Lynn's Ranch/Restaurant. Campground is small and quaint but is very well maintained and the people are very nice. We had a gravel pull-through site with hookups. read more

Very little sleep anyone. The freeway noise makes it impossible to sleep let alone talk to some in a pop up camper. Others poster are right you can see the freeway from the sites. Speaking of sites or should I say parking stalls as the next site is 3 feet out the door of the camper. Not a good sites if you don't have a rig that has self leveling capabilities. We noticed that there was no picnic table we inquired about one and was told if we really need one he would bring one over. We decide no because of the lack of room and how noisy the highway was. Site was one of the farthest from the bathrooms. Will pay the extra money to stay in a hotel. Then maybe we won't feel like the semis are going through our site. read more

We booked a night at this KOA to stop on our way up to Indiana. We arrived around 9:00 pm. I booked a tent site with electricity. It turns out the campground decided we would not be getting a site with electricity. It was a bit humiliating to have to find someone with an extension cord in the dark that was willing to let us blow up our air mattress. Additionally, that meant we had to spend the night with no fan. I saw that previous reviews mentioned they could hear interstate traffic. That's an understatement. You can actually see the traffic passing 30 yards away on the interstate and it is LOUD. Don't forget the bright light right outside the tent area that is just dim enough to not provide any assistance other than to shine in your eyes while trying to sleep. Their map provided no help in finding out site which was not labeled. read more

We stayed here for 2 of our 4 night vacation. We loved it! So clean and well maintained. We saw the owner out there from sun up to sun down working to keep the place looking so nice. Bathrooms, showers and pool were all really nice and clean.They do a great job there and the hospitality was much appreciated! Also, they have a laundry room which was super awesome! We were able to wash all of our dirty and wet stuff before we left for the second half of our vacation. Thanks! read more

We reserved a site for three days for the 4th of July weekend. Unfortunately, this was the worst campground we have ever stayed at in more than 20-years. Beware that the website does not have a site map and that there are only 3 sites that have 50amps and full hook-ups. The park is very small and tight - nothing attractive about it. Below are our concerns and I highly recommend taking them into consideration before planning a stay there: * All sites have a very steep down hill grade at the exit side - you'll need every inch of your landing legs or leveling system and if you have a long 5th wheel your landing legs will be very close to the start of the down hill grade * The sites are small and tight with large trees that are very close to the site making it difficult to extend slide-outs and awnings * If you have a satellite system - don't wast your time trying to set it up (they do have cable with limited channels) * They said that they have wireless - however, half way into this small RV park we were unable to get a signal on cell phones or computer * Roads within the park are narrow and big rigs with awnings will not be able to extend them very far as they will be in the roadway * While setting up our rig, I found that there was no faucet handle for the water, the sewer cap was cranked in on an angle and could not be opened and the cable connection was stripped so I was unable to connect - the owner did come to our site and resolved the faucet and cable issue. Unfortunately, the sewer pipe threads were stripped and I was unable to connect. * The camp sites can't be more than 50 yards from I-40 so you won't get a restful night of sleep there. Unfortunately, when we decided to leave the next day due to all of the concerns and issues we encountered, they refused to refund charges for the remaining two nights at a ridiculous rate of $49.61 per night for such an outdated RV park. My overall, a rating of one is overly kind and only provided because the owner took an interest in resolving a couple of the issues. Hopefully, this review will help others avoid a big waste of time and money - and a bad night of sleep. read more
