Decided to order Samurai Buffalo again for me and my son. We were both very happy with the order and it came in a nice reusable bag too. My order contained the Super Saiyan Roll, Gyoza, Spicy Crab Roll, and Scallion Pancakes. Of all of these, the Super Saiyan Roll continues to reign supreme for me! The spicy crab roll was good - it's under the regular rolls versus specialty and so the price is good for this too. Gyoza was good .. average but good! The scallion pancakes were a new item for me (never had them anywhere) and so they tasted fine but I have nothing to compare them to. If you want to do a taste test, try the all you can eat: 30.99/Adult；20.99/Children under 12；kids under 3 eat for free (prices today, 8/9/25) Or just dine in! Soooo incredibly disappointed ordered sushi on a Friday night and was told 35 minute wait. My husband waited over 2 1/2 hours at the restaurant with a large group of people who also ended up waiting HOURS. Around 7:45 he was told it would be another half hour even for some soup to take home. They did assure everyone that was waiting that the food would be on the house however my husband ended up calling it a night after so long. We called the restaurant next day and left a message with someone would call us back next day. It's been over a week and still no response or refund. Unfortunately, there was a large group of people that were in the same boat as us, and as they had all of our information from our order, never bothered to contact us to apologize about the wait OR refunding us I completely understand things get backed up but when you have people waiting over three hours for dinners that were quoted 35 mins without returning a phone call, incredibly disappointing. This use to be my favorite little sushi spot. Hopefully I remember not to return. Since this place changed a year ago it has not been good. Mushroom soup - microwaved and the flavor was way off Lo Mein - little flavor. Came out super quick too. Did not taste fresh. The all-you-can-eat menu is stacked with fresh rolls, appetizers, and even desserts. Everything came out fast and beautifully plated. The takeout process was smooth and food waiting for me at the front when I got there. Overall I was satisfied with everything. The hibachi comes with the typical salad and miso soup, chicken, vegetables, and I opted for fried rice. A little bit on the pricey side for this dish, but everything was good. Definitely a bit on the sweeter side, especially with the yum yum sauce. I would order this again. The Pad Thai was okay, but not something I would get again. There are much better places around to get that. The sushi I had was a simple Philadelphia roll, but I have no complaints about it. Everything seemed fresh and was good. We tried their sushi lunch special for the first time today. Our favorite sushi is Wasabi (in the Dash's plaza in Williamsville) so that is what I am comparing it to. Samurai in my opinion lacks the flavor and freshness that I have always valued at Wasabi. The Samurai crunchy spicy crab and salmon were not spicy at all and the crunchy prices were not crunchy. Pretty impressed with my Grub Hub order from here last week. The restaurant has reasonable lunch specials. I ended up getting two different sushi rolls (a spicy crab roll, which is my go to.... and a shrimp, avocado and cucumber one). Both came to just over $10 (for 12 pieces) and it was very fresh tasting, it definitely satisfied my sushi craving. I also got the Hibachi beef lunch special ($11) that came with fried rice and veggies. I ordered the rice with no onions, which was correct, but the veggies with it had onion (seemed odd to leave those in it after my no onion request) The beef was good but kind of well done and tough (maybe the filet would be more tender) ....Perhaps the Hibachi entrees would be best served in-house. I would consider ordering takeout from them again, they have a pretty wide range of entrees, maybe some Pad Thai with my sushi next time!! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here after driving and just trying to find a good place. The outside was misleading, but once indoors it was a great surprise. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pace of the food was also very nice. I really loved the miso soup. It was saltier than most places, but that is more to my taste. The dragon roll was absolutely delicious and I've thought about it since then and can't wait to have it again. Then we get to the be to box. The gyoza was delicious and I loved the spring rolls, especially the sauce. As for the tempura shrimp... I've had tempura before, but this was the softest batter ever. It was so delicious. I stopped in here to grab 3 roll combo and honestly kinda shocked me with the lack of taste this food had. It was pretty bad. If you don't have any other options it'll do but not good. They put lettuce in my roll for shrimp tempura...lettuce....like that's not in a roll. The spicy crab did not have ANY flavor. We got takeout from Samurai less than two weeks ago. I'm leaving the 5* for that. The server/manager who took our order still remembered us and made sure to get our order exactly right. The order was ready when she promised it would be, and the quality was as excellent as always. The manager was courteous, polite, and cheerful throughout all our interactions with her; if we hadn't asked her, we wouldn't have known how the pandemic had impacted her personally or the business.
