Came here on a Saturday night for takeout, went inside and ordered 12 boneless bbq wings and my friends ordered the same as well, 4 of us. The restaurant was not busy at all and the food ended up taking 40 minutes to come out. We tried asking the staff if any updates and they said just wait and ask us when they bring out random food for takeout, no calling out the name of the order, they just put it In the area and leave. We walked downtown today because hubby and I both had a hankering for wings. He ordered 6 boneless and said they were average. I ordered 6 regular wings and they were the worst food that I have ever ordered in a restaurant. First off, they were quite small but they were also yesterday's - barely re-fried or re-heated, cold inside. Dry as dust, tough and tasteless. Also they weren't dressed with sauce, they were sitting in a sea of it. I'm guessing as a way to disguise the second rate wings. I thought about sending them back but I figured if this is the quality of food that is acceptable to plate and serve, then what would be the point. The seater/host was incredibly rude. Our server was very kind. Sadly the food was the worst we've had ever in the state of Michigan. The wings were dry and rock hard. One of our party ordered mild wings and got medium and didn't send it back because the chicken as so gross. The bar drinks were basically water...and on the night after a home game, when every other restaurant in the area is booked with a line out the door - you'd think this place would be thrilled to have customers especially because the majority of the tables were empty.... My 3rd time coming here and finally making a review. The place has a lot of tvs and a lot means like 10+ with all the sports you can watch. I ask for a table of 6 and got seated without the full party. The waitress was very patient and served me pop first while I waited for the rest of the guest to arrive. We ordered and the food came out I would say 15minutes. The wings were spot on. The burger was finished before the wings so that means the burgers were pretty good. Overall good experience again. Bar food, NTN trivia, a plethora of tvs. Yeah it gets crowded on game days, NCAA tourney time, and St. Patty's day, but all in all it's not a bad place. I prefer this place in the summer, when the students aren't around (says the crotchety old man). Oh yeah, on Fridays they have a dj and a psuedo dance floor (don't know if this is still going on or not). Most people come here because it's a sports bar, but there have been a couple "club" people up in the mix on these days. I must say I was truly disappointed/pissed off at my last visit. I came here the Sat. after Thanksgiving with some friends. Most students had not come back yet, so it was pretty dead. We put in an order of food to our server, P****a S., who, at this point only has 2 tables. 35 minutes later, we still have no food. The twat forgot to put in our freakin' order! She comes back to tell us "honestly, I forgot to put in the order, and it should be coming out in like 5 minutes." F that noise! Honestly, that's unacceptable. What's worse? She offered no kind of apology or anything. We told her to cancel the food, and she spent the rest of the nite ignoring our table. Love that customer service. I was so irrate, I almost called the manager over, but I didn't bother. I kinda wish I had. We ended up at Harpers where they had 1/2 off all appetizers. We ended up feeding 8 of us for less than 1/2 the cost it would've taken to feed 4 of us (don't try and do the math, just know it was cheaper). Our food is always cold when it comes out, I'm wiping my hands with beverage napkins as I'm typing this, because our bartender didn't bring napkins or silverware. Had an awful experience at bdubs yesterday. Went for football but they didn't have the lions game on at kickoff. After they finally changed to that game, and about 15 minutes, I got my first beer - but not the water I ordered. They switched all lions coverage to packers coverage about 20 minutes into the game. They apparently didn't have the channel so a black screen lingered for about five minutes. Not sure how they didn't realize half their TVs were black and no audio was playing through the speakers. Then the lions lost, and yes I do blame them for that! read more
