I went to Field House tonight for my best friends dinner and I made reservations for a Wednesday 24 hours in advance and was told they double booked my reservation and gave the booth I requested to another party. After sitting down I was not given menus or napkins and was greeted very poorly. The waitress seemed like we were inconveniencing her. Mind you there was probably two other parties in the restaurant at the time. My party of 9 received all of Our dinners at different times and one party members dinner was given to another table. The food was sub par and the water did not taste good. I appreciated the manager speaking with me but I had to ask to receive a discount on my poor experience. I have worked in a restaurant before and have never seen this kind of behavior before. I was grateful for the discount but will not be dining here any time soon. read more

I just would like to point out how poorly run this place is. I stopped in to drop off a resume (I am a bartender, but my place of work opens very late in the afternoon and usually is only busy on the weekend) and the MOD, without even looking at what I had just handed him, asked me when I would like to start. The managers were very minimally involved in the training process... and as a matter of fact, my trainers had barely been working there a month. No one bothered to learn anyone else's names because the turnover is so high (probably because their hiring process is a joke), and as an employee I was treated like garbage. Needless to say, I quit after two weeks. A simple explanation for all the other bad reviews on here... This place is run by a bunch of wannabe frat-boys who subject broke, inexperienced college kids to questionable labor practices and basically set them (and themselves) up to fail. That's not to say that there aren't more experienced, talented wait staff here, but if they have any skill whatsoever I can guarantee that they came with it. And honestly... the good ones don't stay very long, because they realize that their potential is being completely wasted in this establishment (and like I said, everyone was treated like crap). No wonder everyone on here is complaining about the service being terrible... So go ahead and add all that to the long list of reasons to take your business elsewhere. read more

The experience started out poorly waiting to be seated(as directed by the sign at the door) until another patron leaving pointed out we just needed to seat ourself. We sat down at the bar and our drink orders were taken after a few minutes and we were served in a reasonable amount of time. Thats the most positive part of our experience. After about 10 minutes they finally took our appetizer order. Which just didn't seem to arrive. After 25 minutes we were informed our app had been made, but accidentally given to another table and that a new order would be out soon. It was about 15 minutes later as we were asking to be cashed out that our app finally arrived. We didn't stick around to eat it as we wanted lunch and they hadn't even given us an opportunity to order that. We won't be going back. RIP OFF!!! This place had the nerve to charge me $17.50 for a single margarita. Not a double, not top shelf , just a regular margarita. I noticed the cost and asked why and the waiter said "let me go fix that". She came back with $2 off making this margarita $15.50! Just as insulting and her story was "theses are our game day prices!" It was 5:30pm on a Friday and the football game is Saturday. Just a lie as nowhere on any menus did it state this and all other drinks were $6.95 that were more impressive than a basic margarita. PS. You can go right next door to El Azteco and get a picture of margaritas for $15, same liquor. Field House staff was arrogant, burgers were frozen patties, the fries & burger buns were good thou. This was my first and last visit. Filthy bathrooms I might add as well, and it was only 5:30 pm in the day. I can only imagine how filthy and cutthroat this place gets after 9pm. Tables around us were complaining about food as well. I'm not sure what they ordered to eat but items were getting sent back. Then, out of the blue, the place was packed with people. We sat there waiting for our food for about 45 minutes before we decided to tell them we had to go and never mind about our order. Right as we were about to leave our food came out. It's not like it was an obscene amount of food. If you've ordered their taco you'd know. So, I don't know why it took so long. Turns out the owners were throwing a buffet party with a ton of food. We also got mixed answers on whether the buffet was private or public. I used to come here back when it was Peppinos and was never a fan. But I wanted to try Fieldhouse while I was out visiting campus and I have to say I really feel sorry for this establishment. They have one of the best spots in town and they just don't know how to run a restaurant. We entered though the main entrance and requested to sit at the patio (which was barely busy) and the bartender said someone would be out to serve us in a minute. It took 25 minutes for us to go back inside and request service. Once 30 minutes went by, we weren't even greeted or apologized for the wait. The server just asked "what do you want to drink" - so we ordered and it seriously took 10 minutes just to get beers. The server didn't even have a tray to use so he had to make two trips to deliver us our drinks. The wrap I ordered was literally smashed avocado, chicken, and lettuce. It had no flavor what-so-ever. Our server also asked us five times how we would like the bill split. Overall, I'll be going somewhere else next time. read more

Stopped in for a quick appetizer after a game at The Breslin, and enjoyed my time here. My friend and I arrived before 10pm on a Friday night, and there was no cover charge. They also had $2.00 off appetizers and other discounts for arriving before 10pm this particular night. Their beer menu was limited, but we each found something we liked. We thought the Big 10 themed cocktail menu was pretty neat, but the food options were also limited. I ordered the truffle fries, and she ordered a TBA (Turkey, Bacon, Avocado) wrap. We both thought the food was good, but I think the truffle fries were a little over priced at $8.95. The ambiance was nice, and it looked like it had been renovated since the last time we had been here (which has been a long while!) The music got louder as it got later, and we tried to head out before it got really busy. We may stop by in the future to try some of their cocktails! read more

My 7 girls friends and I went to eat dinner yesterday at this establishment. When we arrived there was only one other table in the restaurant. We assumed it would be fast service and we would be in and out in a sort amount of time. Well we were mistaken...It took over an hour to get our cold food. And two of my friends didn't even get there food so we made them box it up and waited until we could leave. A few more tables came in and they ALL got there food before us. The manager seemed upset and was semi apologetic but our server seemed like she didn't care. She never once said sorry and acted as if we were annoying her. Wow. I used to love the Thursday pizza deal here while still in college. I came back this weekend with some friends and words can't even describe how bad my experience was this time around. There were 3-4 employees hanging around the bar all night doing nothing while our waitress was slammed with tables all over the bar. It took 45 minutes to get a beer and another 45 to get the food which was cold when it came out. Our bills were all wrong and were charged for things we didn't even order.
