I'm a fan of Buffalo Wild Wings. When I first discovered that they had built a location here in Olympia, I was really excited. About a week after they opened we went to the new location and hoped for good service. As per usual the inside was LOUD. It was extremely busy that night and we made our way to the bar. (Seriously, avoid the restaurant part and go straight to the bar if you're 21+. No waiting for a table, faster service, and no aggravating little kids or teenagers screaming around you.) The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming. One of the chicks joked around with us and the guy working with her also was pretty talkative. Since we were the only two sitting at the bar, they focused on us for the most part and got us our drinks. Cold beer off the tap and I also got a tasty apple martini. They took our orders right away and were quick on bringing us our appetizer (which was a basket of fries with parmesan garlic sauce dripped over them. Yum.) Always, ALWAYS order the boneless wings specifically "wet", unless you like them a little drier or with a rub sauce. My personal favorites are the parmesan garlic, spicy thai, and mild regular buffalo. Go on the discount boneless wing day. If you're looking for a quiet place for the family, this probably isn't the one for you. Expect a loud and noisy atmosphere (its a Sports Bar chain, obviously) and go for the good cold beers and wings. Its a treat. read more

Buffalo Wings (or as I just call them Chicken Wings) should be crispy on the outside and the meat fall off on the inside. Just like back home in Buffalo (DUFF'S). The Buffalo flavor was a dry rub- which is just not authentic. In order to get a more authentic flavor, order the mild, medium or hot. However, the flavor is pretty average. And, at over $1 a wing, the cost just does not justify. Tuesday 60 cent wings would!! The restaurant is really nice and there are tons of televisions playing every kind of sport. The atmosphere is good as well. The service was great. Order the never ending iced tea with every flavor in the world. The server just kept bringing a new drink and new flavor! Well worth it! I've been to a lot of BWW restaurants before, but this one far exceeded my expectations. We stopped in for a quick bite and had a really nice experience. The manager greeted us and set up our table to let us know that our server would be over shortly. We ordered a small size wing with the Thai and Spicy Garlic flavors, extra crispy of course! I also ordered their side garden salad. Everything was awesome. The wings were cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh and delicious. Stopped by on opening day. We came early expecting a long wait. Surprisingly, it was just about a 30 minute wait. The service was surprisingly good for opening day. I have been to two other BWW locations and LOVED them. I was really excited when I heard they were opening down the road. Unlike a lot of the other Yelpers I was expecting noise and paper boats with no sides with the wings. It's just part of BWW's "style". That being said here's my two cents on this location: I have been to this location probably 5 or 6 times. Each time I'm hesitant to return. We always sit in the bar and to get there there's only one path (and it's right by the kitchen), the floor is always either really slippery (from grease) or really sticky (from God only knows what), last time was a sticky time and i literally stepped out of my flip flop because it was stuck to the floor, not kidding, lol. The whole parking lot smells like dirty grease (like REALLY dirty grease) and the food always makes me sick. The prices can be high depending on what you order, personally i get the wraps or buffalitos and they're like $10 and come with fries and I think that's totally reasonable. I do feel that that this location is louder than the others I've been to, but it must not be because they refuse to do anything about it. It must just be because the building is so much smaller it seems louder. My biggest complaint though is that this location just feels dirty, the food makes me ill, the floors are nasty, the tables and menus are ALWAYS sticky, and the beer is $2-$3 more expensive than anywhere else in town. For being this new i'm hoping they have an inspection soon and "clean up" to bring it up to BWW (or even the health department's) standards (which aren't even that high to begin with, lol). I guess my expectations were way too high, based on the great experiences we've had at other locations- especially Tacoma. We walked in at 5:45pm on a Tuesday. The waiting area was full and there were five employees standing behind the counter; all five looked completely baffled. We thought for sure based on the crowd up front that there would be an extensive wait. That is, until they told us 5-10 minutes and looked over to see about TEN tables open all over. While we waited, a guy that was there before us got agitated that his call ahead order wasn't ready. One of the deer-in-headlights up front went to "see if it was ready". She literally brought out a bag with containers dumped over in the bag. When the guy left, one said to the other, "Has it just been sitting there?" She told the girl yes, and that it was apparently done a long time ago. Strike two for this place. They finally seated us, no less at a table so cramped among the others that we had to shift seats just to fit (while MANY other tables were open). The cramped table was covered in something sticky, so we couldn't put our arms or hands down at all without getting grime on us. Our server, Mike, finally showed up after probably ten minutes. He only had two other tables so I'm blank on what the issue was. Right off the bat, his behavior was that of someone completely disinterested in making money. We are normally REALLY good tippers, and agreed before we even ordered out meals that we would not be tipping anything at all. To make it a little shorter: he didn't give any craps about us being there, service was a bust the entire time. We ended up leaving a $2 tip on a $30 bill just out of guilt. We neatly piled our trash at the end of the table as we finished and it ended up accumulating all of our trash in front of us and was STILL not touched when we walked out. Mike walked by us no less than five times, and a MANAGER walked by at least three times and nobody even considered taking the pile of trash away. The food came out REALLY quickly and was a really very good. The kitchen is the only thing going for this dump. The experience was bad enough from start to finish that we've considered calling corporate, which we NEVER do. Not that anything would change, because apparently this place has been awful for a long time. We chose to stay only because it was rush hour in Olympia and there was not another wing restaurant in close proximity. Long story short, do NOT waste your time here. If you like the club environment then this is the place. The chicken wigs are great with different choices of sauce to chose from. Bar and dining area were divided with cubical wall. Very loud, I would not bring kids here. I had to speak in yelling manner to talk in order for another person to hear. I would say, too loud with music even in the dining area. Service is here is either hit or miss. I came here with a large crowd and after a little wait, our table was ready. The food here is okay, but the wait time was average (about 30-45 minutes) since they were really busy on a Friday night, which is understandable. Every basket of wings was delivered promptly and there was nothing wrong with the food. Out of the two servers, one was very attentive. She was very accommodating when we asked for other condiments, and she checked up on our table while the other server went MIA the entire night after just taking and delivering our order. Even though the other server didn't return, she also grabbed our checks and rang us up, in addition to cleaning up the entire table herself. I have to applaud her to diligence and great service. She definitely deserves kudos for managing a large crowd by herself. With that being said, I don't think I would return any time soon. At 6:30, I ordered, online, two burgers and some wings for carryout. I wanted carryout to avoid sitting for a long time near other people because of COVID. Email confirming the order said it would be ready at 7:00, which seemed a long time considering how small and simple the order was. When I arrived, the lobby area was full of people who were waiting for their orders. Never even got status information on my order despite asking multiple employees. Finally received it at 7:40---one hour 10 minutes after the order was placed---after sitting jammed against all the other people who were waiting for their food (so it was worse than being at a table as far as social distancing goes). All of the food was completely cold, so it inexplicably had been ready *long* before it was brought out. Unbelievably, the guacamole bacon burger didn't have guac or bacon on it! The salads did not have the dressings that we had specified, and one had only lettuce and croutons (it was supposed to be "no tomatoes" but with everything else it normally comes with). I had previously had bad experiences with carryout orders at this location, but nothing as bad as this. Pre-Covid, I have dined in with no problems here on many occasions, but I won't be going again after this experience. read more

The last time I went to BW's was in Virginia, so I was really excited to have a location here in town. We were seated promptly by the hostess in the bar, and had a server there pronto. Our drinks came right away, and the server stayed a bit to chat. I don't think I've had such attentive service in a sports bar before, much less a BWW, so this was a reeeally nice surprise. Everything down to her coming back to check up every couple minutes and grab our check- it was a flawless service. The ap we ordered was okay, but the wings were really sensational. We'll definitely be back, and regarding the noise complaints I've seen listed below, yes, it's noisy, but it's a sports bar. That's their thing. My group and I waited around forty-five minutes in order to get our entrées, we didn't order anything ridiculous either. We love the wings with Jammin' Jalapeno sauce. Although, the Screamin' Nacho Burger was a freaking kick in your mouth! In fact, we ordered a few burgers from BWW and they all tasted very good. It's kind of funny for a wing-place to have better tasting burgers than a "Gourmet-Burger" restaurant. Also, keep the lemonade coming for about 3 dollars, especially if you like hot wings. I've been here a few different times now (my father-in-law really likes it for some reason), and it's been pretty consistently the same every time. The waitresses themselves have been very friendly and do their job well, but it seems like even when we've been there on slower nights the place feels under-staffed. The last time we went, we waited for 20 minutes to be seated, despite there being many visible empty tables. The food is fine, and I agree with another reviewer that the Honey BBQ and Spicy Asian flavor wings are the best, though I wouldn't got so far as to ever describe the wings there as "good." (note: I have ONLY had the boneless chicken wings. Maybe the other food there is better.) Think Sonic or Wendy's quality. As for the atmosphere, it's pretty awful. Unless you're in the bar area, you're basically in this HUGE, almost Chucky Cheese-like room full of tables, except everything is black and it's poorly lit. There are TV Screens everywhere, which is great if you're there for sports, but they kind of loom over you and it's a little overwhelming or intimidating somehow. They also do this thing where they announce birthdays over a microphone, and so far, every time I've been in there, there have been at least 3 birthdays. So you constantly have random people's birthdays interrupting your conversation or game. It's a little weird. My recommendation is this - go there on a Tuesday (they have a really good deal on regular wings that day), order for take-out, and bring the wings somewhere more comfortable to eat them. Ok so me and my husband went to this location for the very first time on 5/17/19. We got drinks from the bar which is where the 2 stars come in and found a table close by. We have 5 different servers walk by without acknowledging our table. Some guy with a long thin ponytail walked past numerous times. We sat there for about 25 minutes before we asked who had our table . I ordered lemon pepper and Asian zing and my husband ordered Thai curry and something. Our food comes out and my lemon pepper wings were so salty that I couldn't eat them. I had to wipe them off with a paper towel and still couldn't eat them. My son and I are wing connoisseurs. We have had many wings. We went to the restaurant side and we were greeted promptly and politely by a multitude of employees. It did take a few minutes for them to figure out where we were going to sit. It wasn't busy, at all, where we sat. The server finally came around. She apologized for the long wait. It looked like we were her 2nd table. She was friendly and attentive and we tipped her well because of it. The wings were disgusting. My son ordered the buffalo hot (which are hot!) he needed milk! Ha! The wings looked and tasted like they were boiled and then tossed in a hometweaked hot sauce. The price of the wings seems high but the wings are large and filling. They sucked though. I brought them home and crisped them up in a pan and they ended up being quite good. They would kill it as a take and bake wing joint. I also had the 3 street tacos on the happy hour menu. I won't order those again. They looked cool, all skewered together, which really made them easier to eat. But the flavor was weird, it tasted like someone spilled a chicken wing on a taco. My wife and I arrived in town excited to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. We arrived, sat in the bar area since it was open seating. We ordered drinks and food. The service on a Saturday night at 8pm with 5 tables total occupied took 15 min to be greeted and almost 20 min to get a drink. The food came separately, my wife got her food then almost 20 min later I got mine. I ordered the sampler, 2 of the 4 mozzarella sticks were literally hollow breading, I requested no sour cream due to an allergy and got mine smothered in sour cream. I was able to eat two boneless wings and 1 onion ring due to the sour cream touching everything. We did not complain, paid the bill but both agreed we will never be back. read more

Complete let down every single time, wether to go or dine in. Every time we order to go the order is always wrong. No one working at the restaurant knows how to utilize the rewards program. Most recently after standing in the lobby for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement from the hostess it then took another 15 minutes for the one working waitress to greet our table and let us know that they are out of ice, "so all drinks are room temperature". Came here on a Sunday and service was cool. Food came out at a good pace, we all enjoyed our meals. The waitress was great! She's probably the reason I should give it another star... The ladies in the front were very quiet they didn't greet us right away and talked amongst themselves, not to much eye contact or conversation with the customers. Maybe they were all having a rough start to Lunch? we all have those days...Since it was my first time here I figured it wasn't a big deal, maybe next visit will be better. Our waitress was polite, helpful, upbeat. She made small conversation with all of us while taking our orders, she was especially great with our kiddos while they ordered their own meals. She checked on us regularly to make sure we were all fine, to make sure our food was good! So that's on point for us. Restrooms clean, clean place, normal atmosphere for this restaurant, Good food.
