I ordered a 30-count of boneless buffalo wings along with fries, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The wings arrived completely burnt--literally black. It was so bad that my husband was too upset to even take a picture and just threw them away. I honestly don't understand how anyone could think it's acceptable to serve food in that condition. Hands down the worst Philly I've ever had. I had to send it back because they automatically add lettuce and tomato without listing it on the ingredients. Who puts tomato on a Philly! The cooks and the manager are all amazing and helpful but the cashier named Lilly is absolutely disrespectful! Every-time I order she mumbles stuff under her breath as if she's annoyed, and if I ask for an add on or something she makes the rudest face ever. I love Charley's and their food but I feel so judged and disrespected when Lilly takes my order. The cashier asked me if my money was real! Charley's is the awesome chain sub store. Not as awesome as the local guys IMHO (cough cough Wally's), but sooo much more delicious than Subway or Quizno's. I love that this Charley's makes your food where you can see it, and the grill cook talks directly to you. Bonus- it seems like the grill cook who's there whenever we go used to do Japanese Hibachi or something, because he always clangs around his tools and does tricks. OK, I thought, I'll give this place a go. Good choice! For a total of $6.52 w/ tax, I enjoyed a Philly Cheesesteak sub (steak, grilled onions, provolone cheese on a toasted bun, with optional lettuce, tomato, mayo, and peppers) and an order of piping hot french fries. Food is cooked and assembled to order here, quickly and efficiently with tasty results. This was my first time eating here. I wasn't even going to eat here, but the lady handing out samples was so sweet and gave us so much information. Once she gave us the sample, we decided to eat there. I don't think I have even been to a fast food place with such good customer service. I went up to get a refill and they were just so nice..lol I know, sounds weird, but fantastic customer service. I wish I got their names. I have allergies and EVERY single time I've been here they've added cheese to my sub when I said "No cheese" and the reader board clearly said no cheese. Needless to say I've given up trying to get them to be allergy friendly, which is a sand because their meat and lemonade are great. read more

I like the food so much at our hometown Charley's (Temecula, CA) I couldn't say no on a recent trip to this mall with my brother, while on a visit to the Great Northwest. My bro had never tried the place and was reluctant to try it with me, so he ventured over to a nearby Thai for some of their food court cuisine (LMAO). I ordered something that was new to the menu (albeit it is / was not on the menu last time I swung through ours) - Bacon 3 Cheese Steak! It came with steak, bacon, swiss, cheddar, provolone cheeses. we all know EVERYTHING tastes better with BACON! And if you love cheese, like I do, then having three types has got to be a good thing! Damn, it's a wonder why I'm not a fat ass! The combo was everything I was hoping for, on the ol' familiar fresh baked bread! It had just the right amount of fixings and made for a great combo for the taste buds. I, again, ordered the Cheddar, Ranch & Bacon Fries. Yum! Tasted like potato skins you'd pay premium for at any other place / bar. I ALLOWED my brother to sample the sandwich (since I ordered the large) and fries. I regretted the Thai cuisine he brought to the table HAHAHAHA... Their service was just as friendly and quick as back home. Yet another overall great experience (for a food court no less) at a Charley's! I used to really like this location, but now I'm just grossed out. Went in to use the bathroom and a Charley's cook was standing right next to me using the restroom and talking on his cell phone. I went over washed my hands and started to leave. The cook on the other hand just finished his business and headed directly for the exit. No clean hands in site. In fact, he didn't even bother to put his phone down. After leaving he went back to work serving samples in the front of the restaurant. I guess people ended up sampling more than they bargained for... This may be an isolated occurrence, but there's no way I'm eating there again. read more

I was drawn in by a sample of the California Chicken Ranch sandwich, which was delicious. So I ordered one. It did not taste near as good, and I ended up giving it to my fiance while I ate the fries. He ate the sandwich, but then was literally up all night long with diarrhea and vomiting. Just the few bites I took made me feel not so good. Today, I called and asked to speak to a manager. The girl who answered said "It's ok,you can talk to me". I told her that this was something that I should be speaking to a manager about. She then said that she is the district manager! I looked up on the Health Department's site of restaurant inspections and they got marks because employees were not washing hands! This information, coupled with the review below from John C in 2014 tells me they do not care about cleanliness. This sandwich, fries and drink cost me $11! Very over-priced food poisoning! We were heading for the teriyaki place next door, but Charley's had samples. Holy crap! Absolutely delicious. Hubby and I split a large Philly cheese steak combo. We are big eaters, and couldn't finish everything. The upcharge for the ultimate fries are worth every penny, and the peach lemonade boasts actual lemons and chopped peaches. Good sandwiches, quickly prepared. Variety of toppings is lacking. I was surprised to learn they charge for water the same as a soft drink (about $2.00) I feel there should be a policy change on this. Prices are ok for being in the food court of Capital Mall.
