I have never been to a Buffalo Wild Wings before tonight ... and I probably won't be back. Let me preface the rest of this review by saying I have been to 1 star Michelin restaurants as well as 5 star and have had great food and terrible food at both. And I never relish giving a bad review, but I have to be honest, this was one of the worst experiences I have had in some time. The restaurant looked closed from the front but as we got close to the door could see the hostess bar lit up, though there was no one behind it. It didn't take long though for someone to walk up to seat us, so I was hopeful it would be a good experience. We were seated at a booth, which I was glad of, and over to the side, so I thought it would be somewhat private. We sat for almost 20 minutes before someone came over to get our drink order - even though there were employees going back and forth refilling their own cups at the drink station behind us. We made sure to tell her we were ready to order our food at the same time so the wait wouldn't be so long. It was almost an hour from the time we sat til we got our food. The waitress was sweet enough, but she checked on us once. We had to take our cups to the hostess to ask for a refill on our drinks, after which the waitress came over to see if we wanted anything else. She had forgotten to bring a knife to the table, so my husband was using two forks - his and mine - to break up the chicken on his salad. And the only picture I'm sharing is of the half a cup of the driest macaroni and cheese I have ever eaten, which looked to have been scooped from a pan and thrown into a paper bowl and reheated in the microwave. It was honestly, the most disgusting mac and cheese I have ever eaten. I was disappointed to have paid $6.49. Two bites - one to taste, one to make sure I was right. So dry cardboard like, when held upside down, stuck to the cup with the exception of a few top pieces that fell out. The table of 8 people who left the table across from us as we sat down, had piled their plates and cups and utensils and garbage and that was never cleared away for the hour+ we sat there. In the mean time, the music that had been borderline too loud, was turned up so loud you couldn't hear the person across from you without screaming at them! When we mentioned to the waitress the need of utensils at the end of our meal, she brought it over and I asked for the check, it took another 10 minutes to get that! Worst experience of customer service ive had in a long time. Walked in the door and waited for almost 10 mins while host sits on her phone in a back corner. I almost walked to the bar to ask whats going on. Finally get seated and the server seems to just not care. Took forever to get our order of drinks. Then forever on food to arrive. However, considering we were a fairly large group of us, and it was fairly late, I must say the service was better than I expected, and the food tasted pretty good. My girlfriend and I stopped in on the way back from a Charlotte Hornets game today...place was outstanding. It was busy because of the NFC championship game, so we expected a wait. The kind hosts said it'd be a 15-20 minute wait, but we were sat in five. Hosts told us upfront there would be a limited menu and gave us one to check out what we could get. Upon being sat, we got our drinks and food within 20 minutes. The front door said understaffed, and it may have been, but I would have never known because of the service speed. Wings were really good and we were sat in a quiet area of the restaurant. If we are looking to get wings on the way to Charlotte again or on the way back, we will definitely eat here again. Me and my husband got a gift card here. Of course I checked out the reviews and the star rating which were both not good but a gift card is a gift card we went for lunch. We got some delicious wings for an app. Our food was great. Our service was awesome. Well it is Sunday...the game is on...so we decided to try this place out. We have not been to this location since opening. We were greeted by several friendly, smiling staff who asked our seating preferences (table/booth/high top). We said what ever is open. They took us to a booth right away. The server was prompt in asking for our choice of drink and answering questions about the menu, even grabbing samples of sauces from the kitchen so we could make an informed choice. After putting our order in our server came back to bring an extra stack of napkins to the table...guess we are gonna get messy...lol. While we waited for our food we had several TV's to choose from to watch the NFL game. The speakers had the sound for the game (which is kinda loud, but hey it is a sports bar). Our server came by to check on us for refills and informed us she was going to check on our order. She has been very attentive with a polite tone and nice smile. Food came out quickly. Buffalo Chips, Wings and sauces all tasty and cooked appropriately. When our server came by next we placed a to go order. We got that timely too. Shelby was great and really made the experience, food was good (not out of the park) and atmosphere was exactly what would be expected for the place it is. Our usual wing place, East Coast Wings across the street was closed tonight for July 4th, so we came here being that we wanted wings. We were warned by other customers leaving to save our time and money by going elsewhere. We should have listened. Our waitress and seemingly all the rest of the waitstaff were forgetful and seemed generally confused. It seemed like management just hired any warm body that came in the door without any regard for personality, experience, or abilities. Our drinks came out one glass at a time, separated by a few minutes each. The waitress came back to our table after we ordered and said they were out of mini corn dogs that one of our children had ordered. My wings were on the small side and came out very lightly sauced with soggy slimy skin. Others at our table were picking cold uncooked fries out of their baskets. Do yourself a favor and go to East Coast Wings in the shopping center across the street. Choose from 75 wing flavors and the wings are always well cooked. By trying to make it right after coming up with several excuses, they used their military discount to offset their mistakes and unprofessional service. Not knowing that I am a retired Army veteran, I found this to be a slap in the face to all military veterans because this discount should never be handed out to anyone to make up for their mistakes. I thought the food was ok. Wasn't thrilled with the amount of shrimp on the po boy. Seemed like more bread than anything. The waitress wasn't that friendly. We asked what different types of alcohol they had and she told us to read the menu. We also asked how many wings came in an order and again were told to look at the menu. As a former waitress I would never do that. I would want to know the menu so I could answer the customers questions. It's almost embarrassing to have to tell the customer to look for themselves bc she couldn't manage to learn what was on the menu. The man that seemed like the general manger was helpful and very pleasant, asked us how things were and seemed to be busting his butt around us.
