Dryer than the desert, and the carrots are disgusting almost puked myself after I saw the carrot.

Crazy is that this place is a little worse food-wise than the BWW back in the OC, but the bartender was over the top friendly and made the experience super fun. Watched the final Dodgers World Series win here and thought the nachos were a little off and wasn't a fan of the deep fried pickles (mostly because they were chips and not spears), but again, the bartender was super nice to everyone and kept the crowd at the bar into it. Also learned not to get the boneless wings. Bone in only from now on.

I had a Philly cheesesteak and fries and for dessert I had cheesecake with drizzle caramel. It was delicious. I recommend this place has great atmosphere and the service was amazing. Very friendly will be back.

Went on Thursday for buy one get one wings and it hit the spot. Service was a little slow but that is the average buffalos wild wings, the restaurant its self has a bunch of tv's to watch all the sports games on that day.

It's a bdubs at the end of the day and it gets the job done. The initial service was kind of slow. Our server wasn't terribly attentive, but that's alright. The food came through really quickly. The brisket burger was great and hit the spot. The black bean burger missed the mark entirely. It was over cooked and chewy. Restaurant was clean enough. Just the general chaos of families letting their kids run all over the place.

We got a sampler platter for the appetizer. It came with a bit of everything to try. It was okay, the nachos were super soggy by the time we got it. The mozzarella sticks and onion rings were good. However, in one of our onion rings, it had the skin of an onion rather than the onion itself... We also order some wings, with bone in and boneless. Highly recommend the bone in wings over boneless. The boneless wings is like chicken tenders but dry. The bone in wings are so moist and juicy. Boneless chicken wings + dry rub = really hard to eat it, recommend it being covered in sauce for it to be good Bone in Chicken Wings + dry rub/sauce = delicious and moist!

My experience here was great. We had good customer service, the food was good, and had a wonderful time losing in trivia!

There was a kids birthday party happening on the outdoor patio, and only one or two tables occupied inside. There were 9 people in our party. They have a large private parking lot so there is plenty of parking available. We were seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Our server was friendly enough, but neglected to keep our water glasses full, which was frustrating on such a hot day. Our order was taken relatively quickly; however, our food took forever to come out! It was surprising since there weren't many customers in the restaurant. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food which was a relief. I ordered the turkey ranch wrap with cheese curds as my side. The wrap was oddly served warm, including the ouside tortilla wrap grilled in grease. I was surprised and disappointed. They should really indicate that on the menu. It was good, but I would have preferred a cold wrap. The cheese curds were delicious and not greasy at all. I ordered the molten lava cake with ice cream for dessert. It was fabulous! Very rich and the ice cream was the perfect pairing. Overall an okay experience. Service was lacking. The servers were friendly, but didn't keep water glasses full until we reminded them a few times. A pitcher of water for each table would have been a great idea for our large group. The food also took way too long...maybe an hour?! Dessert took forever too. Not sure if we'll return. Side note, they charge 3% of the bill for using a credit card. This is a chain restaurant and I was put off by this when we received our bill, especially since the food seemed a bit overpriced to begin with.

They still have several small tables, along with window seating & the stools at the bar, of course, and there are couple TVs around that had different sports on. The Spot is a true Vancouver neighborhood bar, and people have been coming here for decades. Owner…read moreAlan works incredibly hard for this place. He shows up, he cares, and he has made real efforts to improve the atmosphere. The recent remodel has made the bar lighter, brighter and more welcoming. There are also some genuinely excellent bartenders who represent what The Spot should be. Cindy is phenomenal: professional, attentive and accommodating. Dylan will always hold a special place in my heart because she was the first bartender who took care of Jordan and me after we moved to Vancouver. She immediately made us feel welcome. I have never forgotten that, and that first experience is one of the reasons The Spot became special to me. Unfortunately, my experiences with Ashley have been the complete opposite. Ashley has only been working there for roughly a month, yet in that short time she is already alienating regular customers and damaging the environment Alan is working so hard to build. I have dealt with her more than once, and the service has been consistently rude, dismissive and unprofessional. A couple of Thursdays ago, Ashley was covering for Cindy while Cindy was on vacation. I came in to meet our normal Thursday lunch group, and the difference in atmosphere was unbelievable. Ashley was inattentive and rude to multiple guests. This was not simply one bad interaction between her and me. Other people were having problems with her service and attitude as well. The experience became uncomfortable enough that I eventually left. Today sealed it for me. I had some time before getting tires put on my truck, so I stopped by The Spot for breakfast and a drink. When I walked in and saw her behind the bar, I genuinely considered turning around and leaving, but I decided to give it another chance. That was a mistake. I sat down at the bar. Ashley looked directly at me and continued talking with another guest while she ate her food and got herself something to drink. She made no effort to greet me, take my order or even acknowledge that I was waiting to be served. Then, while I was still sitting there, I watched her smirk with another guest and make comments about me. Eventually, I got up and walked out. I walked into a neighborhood bar ready to spend money, yet the bartender made the experience so uncomfortable that I left without ordering anything. That is not being busy. That is not having an off morning. That is not a personality difference. That is a failure of basic hospitality and professionalism. Bartending is a service profession. Customers do not have to be treated like friends, but they should be acknowledged, treated respectfully and given basic service. You do not have to like every person who walks through the door, but you do have to act professionally. Making a paying customer feel as though being served is some privilege you are granting them is completely backwards. What makes this so concerning is how quickly this has happened. Ashley has been there approximately ONE MONTH, and she is already making longtime customers uncomfortable enough that they are leaving, avoiding her shifts and talking about how unpleasant the atmosphere becomes when she is behind the bar. That should concern anyone who cares about this business. Alan is trying to move The Spot forward. He remodeled it, made it brighter and more welcoming, and continues to show up for his business. Cindy, Dylan and the other professional bartenders have spent years building relationships with customers and creating the neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back. It should not take one new bartender a matter of weeks to start undoing that work. This is bigger than whether Ashley likes me personally. I do not expect my bartender to be my friend. I expect professionalism, respect and service when I walk into an establishment as a paying customer. I will not spend my money somewhere while being deliberately ignored, mocked or made to feel unwelcome by the person whose job is to provide hospitality. At this point, if Ashley is working, I will go somewhere else. Based on what I have personally witnessed, I would highly recommend that anyone planning to visit during the morning shifts check who is behind the bar first. When Cindy is there, when Dylan is there, or when one of the other professional bartenders is working, The Spot can be exactly what a great neighborhood bar should be. That is the bar I know and the reason I keep coming back. But what I have experienced with Ashley is unacceptable. The most frustrating part is that I know The Spot is better than this. Alan deserves better representation behind his bar. The regulars who have supported this place for years deserve better. The Spot should be building loyalty, not allowing a bartender who has barely been there a month to drive loyal customers out the door.

The service was just weird, and was objectively bad. There was nobody at the counter when I arrived, and it took me a while to find the "ring bell for service" button. I did so, and was approached by an employee, who didn't greet me at all. He literally didn't speak a word the entire time I ordered, and only nodded when I asked if I could get one of the three "meals" (not a-la-carte) I ordered plain. I also expected the "meal" to come with a drink (and their web site illustrates a can of Coca Cola with the "meal), but the silent employee didn't address that aspect of it at all, and with him not speaking, it seemed like it would be an exercise in futility and frustration to try to ask. I legitimately wonder if the employee had a mental disability, and if so, I commend Smack Town for employing those with special needs. I'd hope that they'd have a job coach or somebody overseeing to get them to build the skills they need to fulfill their job role. With that said, though, I don't care to try to order here again. This is a great shame, because the burger was truly outstanding! Seriously, a REALLY great burger! I was also grateful that the one I'd ordered plain, was, in fact, plain. Adding one star for the super quality of the food.
