It's typical of most restaurants in Abilene, I could cook better myself at home. But I was out, and I was craving noodles and wonton soup. So I popped in to the buffet. The food is so-so. The a/c doesn't seem to be working as the dining room was uncomfortably warm. I got my fix. I probably won't be back for a long time. read more

Pretty average, but for Abilene and for Chinese buffets, this is your biggest and best bet. Service is quick for drinks. You pay after your meal; seems to me it'd be better for them if you pay before and the customers could walk out once they're done. There is a hibachi grill but it's only open during main meal times. The food ranges from average to blah. My favorite item is the fried chicken wings. The sushi is no bueno whatsoever. read more

So surprised at the variety of foods here. The sushi station was awesome and fresh!! Didn't make it to the Mongolian station, but I'll definitely be coming back again to try it. The food was pretty good. There's a great variety so you definitely can something for every member of your group. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a buffet style restaurant. If I could get away with not giving any stars I would give it - 5 stars. My wife and I had lunch here for a change, well that was a mistake It was the lunch rush and yet the food was cold, over cooked, and hard to eat it was like chewing on a spare tire and the taste was not that far off from it as well. I had a dish that had left so much oil on the plate I could have made and had fries with my meal my wife couldn't even eat at all everything she got from the buffet was just "plain nasty" the ice cream was the only thing that was any good that day... Buffet City is now Buffet King... basically. Same setup, same offerings with a few new additions--frog legs, some new sushi items, and gyoza being some of them. Decent price and good food for all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet and "more" especially considering the other buffet alternatives. read more

I was on a trip to Texas and I was giving a shot to try this buffet. When I was waiting for my seat, there was a boy that kept talking to me while I was waiting and thats great because that way, I won't be bored and because of that, I give it a full star. The food is good and theres a lot of sushi. The Hibachi is different then other buffet. I would recommend other people try this buffet and the boy who makes me not bored while I was waiting is the person that every restaurant should have. So glad that I visit. read more

Best buffet in town, in my opinion. I could see the person making the sushi so I know it's fresh and I LOVE THAT! It was super tasty. :) Lots to choose from, which is great. We, my husband and 2 small children have started going here on a once every two week basis ! We would definitely be coming more often if I weren't sure I'd be gaining all of my baby weight back . The food here is good and not too pricey but beware the staff steals from you given the chance! I accidentally left an envelope with $120.00 in it on the table after leaving a $10 tip and when I realized it (a day later) the restaurant manager did not even attempt to find it or what happened to it! Yes it was my mistake but they could easily have found my dad who paid with his debit card. So basically a waitress got a $130.00 tip for a approximately $60 bill! read more

I was kind of so so on this one...maybe it was because we went around lunch time on sunday...so..super busy...but a lot of the food I got was pretty over cooked...not burned just tough or a little dry...I'm skeptical about buffet sushi...but it did look good...several varieties...my kiddos really liked the variety of the main food..there were several things there that i dont normally see in a buffet...crawfish..calamari...small octopus...i didnt try all of these but kind of impressed it was there...and the wait staff were on top of things but I probably won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I like the fact that there's a great variety of food here. The kids can get french fries frozen chicken if they want to, and parents can get sushi and Mongolian barbecue. Our family of six enjoy eating here and the staff is very friendly. read more

I love the imitation crab from this place. Today I had a break from work and I went by there and decided to try their to go option. You could tell that they had imitation crab on the menu, but it was empty. It was the only item on the entire buffet line that was empty. So I asked the guys from the back when they came out about it. I showed them the pan, showed them out to go plate, and said thank you after they told me that they would fill it. After waiting 15 minutes, they came out with other items to fill the line with, ignoring my request. I literally gave my plate back to them, not because I didn't get the item, but because I felt disrespected because they didn't value me as a customer. If they had told me that they weren't going to be able to refill it for any reason, maybe they didn't have any, maybe whatever I would've been understanding and still taken a plate. But instead they let me stand there for 15 minutes waiting on them to refill an item that you know they already had made. I once loved this place, I won't be going back. read more

For the price, this is a decent buffet. There's a pretty big selection but most of the Chinese food has way too much sugar and is just not very good quality. There wasn't any good seafood when I was there. They had blue crab legs but no one was eating it because it was just too little meat. The mongolian grill was nice and was probably the best food here. There is a sushi buffet and the sushi seemed to go pretty quickly but I stay away from buffet sushi. Service was great. Drinks were refilled quickly and we got seated quickly. Tables are bussed promptly and the staff are friendly but have a slight language barrier. And the pop was good. I likely will not come back, mostly because of the food. If they had crab legs, I might be tempted. But good service can't undo bad food. read more

Really good food. I was prepared for a sub-par meal but I was very impressed with the quality and selection. The meals were cooked well and not over cooked or mushy. There was a wide variety of stuff there most of it was Asian themed but even there dumplings were really good . I had the typical banquet and a iced tea which cost a dollar fifty... In total I think I spent $14 and change there for the meal and keep in mind that iced tea with extra. I plan on going back soon. I didn't think they're soft serve ice cream was that good but that was the only thing I had a complaint about their desserts were good especially the tiramisu . read more

The food was cold and old. As if they did not recognize when the time limit had expired. The tea was great! In the advertisements the food looks so delicious, but in person, it is a different story. They fell to stop and think that there are actually people out there with allergies (some severe allergic reactions like DEATH) when exposed to sea food , mainly shell fish of any type, But they decided it was okay to place shell fish sea food next to beef and broccoli items. WOW,,, all I can think of is how tongs and spoons at buffets get switched so easily with the neighbor dish.
