I love eating at this place it's great food , the fried rice is great , beef and broccoli on point , the chicken wings slapping (so good)

My experience with the restaurant was great. It's very friendly, but very busy. The food was good, the prices were good, the staff was good as well. There was a large variety of food and drinks to choose from. But because it is very hot outside, I was hoping to dine in and relax from the heat outside, unfortunately, from where I was I couldn't feel the AC. Hopefully that gets fixed soon, then I can give the restaurant a higher rating. read more

I was quite disappointed with the food and wait staff. The food looked wonderful. I was anxious to get back to my table to eat. Jeepers, I could barely eat the food in my mouth because it was not very tasty and it was deeper than bland. The old adage applies to this ...if it looks to good to taste good it probably tastes. I tasted practically everything. The food that I tasted was completely bland and I spit the food in napkins. I would only recommend the fresh pineapples and canned tangerines. Good food, especially the Mongolian grill; however, the floor, counter tops and buffet areas were a little messy with dropped food.

Always pay cash! The waitress took my card, charged it, supposedly voided it, then charged it again for another random amount, then voided it again, then brought the card back to me saying "no money, no money." My account showed the two charges. One for my total one for another amount that they couldn't explain. The managers explanation made no sense. I ended up having to pay for the meal in cash along with the almost $80 worth of charges on my card that will hopefully drop off. They gave me someone else's card receipt, another reason why I would only use cash their. I had to go back and ask for a receipt for my cash payment. All was very sketchy and unprofessional. One of my favorite go to places. If the food is out or doesn't seem fresh they will make it fresh for you. The owner & staff are super friendly, and it is very affordable. Grab a card from them to sign if you go often to earn a free meal. read more

5 stars for a buffet, please remember people a buffet is not the same as a regular menu driven restaurant. But still with that in mind the buffet is good and well tended the Mongolian is good but personally I would go heavy on sauces and let a couple people go ahead if you for best flavor. Sushi is good, now it's not a dedicated sushi restaurant so don't expect that but for a buffet the sushi is well tended and delicious they even regularly add some tempura rolls. But more than anything is the value I have been twice now for lunch and for 13 dollars for two people that's more than worth it. I will drive across town for it IMO the best buffet in the area and yea it is better teppanyaki to me. read more

The cashier with the long hair, she is the only one who is always there, she have no PESONALITY. She doesn't need to be on the front end with an attitude and no people skills. The 12 year old boy who normally cashier has better customer service skills than her and he is just an child. I also noticed that the take out orders have went up since they have opened. I went in today and it's my last time I'll ever eat there again. The mash potatoes were runny, the noodles were hard and had no season to it, the fried chicken was dry and hard and the chicken with broccoli tasted flat,I used to get the hibachi chicken but lately the cook had been burning it. Great remodel, food quality has improved 200%. Best buffet sushi I've ever had (both selection and quality). The fried foods are fried well, and are not "heavy" or greasy. Great selection. My new favorite buffet. Great seafood selection also. read more

Just visited this place with my parents because of a Fall coupon I received in the mail. Definitely worth going here for a family outing. I went on a Sunday so since I ate the all day dinner buffet, I am not sure how different the food selection is from the normal lunch buffet. The food selection is definitely more varied than the other buffets I've been at with my family. It has at about 8-10 different styles of sushi for selection at the sushi bar, along with the seaweed, pickled ginger, and some sashimi. There is also an almost constant supply of fresh oysters and mussels. The oysters were big and small sizes, but for the buffet price, having a good selection of fresh oysters to choose from is probably already worth coming here if you like oysters. As for the other food, there is a good selection of lobster legs, whole crab, parts of crab, and shrimp. There is also the classic Chinese buffet fare, the broccoli and chicken, the stuffed crab, the spring rolls, etc, which all tasted pretty good. I did not try the lo mein or fried rice since I wanted to try the other dishes that I can't get as readily from any Chinese take out place. Service was pretty good, the waitress we had was pretty quick in taking away our finished plates, so no complaints there. Overall atmosphere was nice and relaxed, perfect for a get together with friends, with co-workers, or eating with your family. would totally recommend this place!! i'm not a fan of Chinese buffet places the food is usually nasty and there usually dirty but not this place. the food is delicious and is very clean and well maintained. the service is excellent as well. We have finally said enough is enough, the food isn't worth the horrible service (after eating here often). Food is mediocre, waitress' are friendly but the owner not so much he has no customer service skills. Vents from ceiling dripped condensation onto my plate. When I mention it to the waitress she looked up at the vent then walks away and does nothing about it. They seated us in the party room and 15-20 minutes later half way through ratting our meal they moved us to a different table due to the birthday party being bigger then they anticipated. And when they feel you need to leave they bring you your ticket with the fortune cookies (we hadn't even had ice cream and the waitress brought us our ticket) and proceed to hover over you until you pay. They've even brought us the wrong ticket multiple times! All in all; it's not worth it.... if rating it zero stars was an option that's what I would leave. read more

My aunt came for my birthday and didn't eat anything, when it was time to get the check the waitress confronted her saying, "I know you ate" after she had stared her her down and stood over her sever times after this they tried to charge my grandmother an extra tab and that had to be sorted out at least five times, after this once we'd gotten to the register they had once again added the extra person back onto her tab! My husband, son and I visited this place on Saturday, and the food was disgusting. They had old fruit on the bars, everything was very salty, and alot was old and not fresh. My husband walked around with the manager pointing out alot of things that was wrong. They also have crablegs that you can get by the pound not all you can eat. 5.99 lb. You can get that at home. New management, same old nasty food. My husband got so sick when we got home. I will definitely not eat hear. Please spread the word. The food is disgusting. How can you have pineapple out there that is so old it turned brown, and kiwi was so mushy. We pointed this out and the manager looked, said yeah its, old but did not get it removed from the fruit bar. Never again......... read more

Don't pay attention to any of the bad reviews. They are full of crap and are probably getting paid to try to ruin this business. The food is great and so is the customer service. One of our favorite buffets. For whatever reason, today food was some of the worst that I have had at any buffet; I am 78 years old. Arrived at 5:00; left just after 6:00 pm. Dinner started at 3:30 at an additional cost of $4.00 over lunch price. Most all food was nothing more than leftovers from lunch and drying out somewhat or there was very little left on the line; some of the food was not even warm as it should have been. Did not finish anything I had on my plate. Habachi was good as usual, but line was out of some food selections. Place was not as clean as it usually is. Wife ate very little. Agreed that food was not good at all. Talked to the cashier who called for the manager (owner, I believe) who basically said nothing more than he would talk to the kitchen manager. He could not offer any reasonable justification for the problem. Basically, he just reiterated dinner started at 3:30. Feel like I paid $4.00 extra each for food that was not even the quality for their usual lunch. Will be staying away for a few months to see if things continue as they were today. read more

Where the old (and seemingly unsanitary) Wok-n-Roll Buffet was in Todd's Shopping Center, sits the newly opened "Buffet Star". This is probably the biggest buffet on the peninsula which includes a Mongolian grill (never tried it, but it looks great) and extensive sushi bar as well as about 7-8 buffet lines of food with the usual assortment of Chinese buffet items with seafood (I think they even have lobster during the weeknights). This place is clean, the service is courteous (not apathetic like Peking, it's competitor who hasn't changed their menu in...well...forever) and efficient. We recently threw a party for about 50 people in the back party room. Tommy was excellent and the waitresses did their jobs almost invisibly and efficiently. It was a small deposit and they even put my cupcakes and sparkling cider in their coolers until we were ready for them. They took care of things like getting us a lighter and scissors, etc. things we forgot. I highly recommend this place. Fresh food, great value, friendly, efficient staff...what more could you want? read more

I've been here three times in the last six months. Each time around 5pm. There are good things to be found if you look but for me I think there are way better buffets in this area and better ways to spend 16 bucks for dinner. Service is friendly and fast and the place is clean. The last time I went (today) everything that I tried tasted bad. The fries were cold, the fried shrimp looked like it had been out for hours, the egg rolls also, the beef and broccoli had a weird taste. The banana pudding and cake selections were awful tasting. I left here happy on my first visit but the other two were not so great. It may depend on what you choose to eat and I may just not be picking the right items. I asked the waitress what she liked but I don't think she spoke English very well. It's a bonus that cute Asian girls work here but I don't think I'll be back.. I'd recommend other folks try it once though, you may like it. I like that there are signs up stating that children must be accompanied by an adult at the buffet, you don't get that at Golden Corral. read more

I visited the restaurant on September 19, 2015, and upon entering I observed the owner sitting at a table pinching his nose while sitting at a table with someone who appeared to be his son as though something in the restaurant smelled, I was given a silverware without a knife and scoured the buffet tables for one, and not finding one I asked a waitress for one and while sitting directly behind their work station another one made a comment" don't start the bulls---" after being handed the knife, the food was cold, the crabs were uncooked and shortly after leaving I had to stop at the bathroom because of diarrhea. I paid a 20% tip as I usually do and the same waitress who passed the rude comment had the audacity to count the tip of which 6 cents were left in pennies because I happened to have exact change and said I knew he was going to do that. The crassness = "So crude and unrefined as to be lacking in discrimination and sensibility," is amazing and makes me question the judgement of management and is a clear example of how the people who work for you can destroy your business. read more
