The atmosphere here was a 10. Everyone was kind and upbeat. The food was very good and warm. I was very impressed with the dinner buffet. Please do yourself a favor and stop by if you haven't.

I always like going to Buffet star more then any of the other buffets around the area. They always have hot food where as most of the others are kind of cold. Wide variety of different thi gs to eat so there is something for everyone there. Service was very good with this visit as it is with most visits. The ambiance is very welcoming and clean and so is the areas where the food is. Will always go back to this buffet!

The staff were pleasant and kept up with taking plates quickly. So many buffet tables. 5 plus the Mongolian Grill and Sushi station. The Lo Mein and Mei Fun were very tasty. A tiny bit cold but that's to be expected at a buffet. They are constantly up keeping the tables , which is nice. They have a large salad and dessert selection. There is something for everyone; vegetarian , pescatarian and meat eaters. Excellent choice during lent if you're going to eat out. I was not a fan of the olives or the pickles, but that is just a flavor preference. The Eggrolls and Egg Foo Young were delicious. Highly recommend. Quality food and many options with affordable prices. We plan on going back again next week for the dinner buffet.

    Deeeeeeeelicious!

Good food, especially the Mongolian grill; however, the floor, counter tops and buffet areas were a little messy with dropped food.

Parking is a bit of a tricky situation, but if you park over at Barnes and Noble or JC Penny, you can walk over pretty easily. I came with my youngest, and he's a dumpling FIEND. Been known to destroy at least four plates of dumplings in a sitting, so it's totally worth the AYCE approach. I usually don't get my money's worth in these types of spots because they often won't let you take any additional leftovers home. So I've become pretty careful about my orders. What this place had going for it -- the portions were MUCH larger than I expected from my prior experiences at AYCE places. The sushi roll I expected maybe 4-6 smallish pieces, and I got 8 pretty large pieces. The nigiri was okay - not the best quality fish, but it was edible and fresh. The round of appetizers we got was hit or miss -- the tempura was DELICIOUS. The wontons were eh. And the dumplings were okay -- my only beef with that was...the beef! There are no pork dumplings on the menu, which is weird since gyoza is traditionally pork based. The beef ones were okay though - both steamed and fried (we tried both). In all, we got out of there with about a $50 tab for one adult and one kid -- and the waitress was kind enough to let us take some of the food home since I was surprised by the sizes of the servings. Overall, I'd put this at a solid 3 1/2 stars.

My husband's ordering pepper steak me and my sister are ordering general tso chicken. I also ordered a spicy kani salad and we ordered pork dumplings and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was not too bad. I felt like it could've used a little more seasoning, but they give you a generous, proportion . Had the spicy kani salad and I thought that was pretty good. It tasted very fresh and had a good crunch. The pepper steak was seasoned well very nice portion looked really good. Fried rice tasted really good. No complaints on the fried rice. The General tso chicken was excellent very crunchy and a very nice portion. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

For starters we like the sushi appetizer (fresh and yummy), spring rolls, crab rangoons, and gyoza! All hit the spot - flavorful and perfect sized. With the size of the rolls, we normally just get two apps to share and one roll each. As someone who doesn't like a ton of raw fish, I get the Saisaki Special Roll. It has lobster salad, shrimp tempura and avacado. I love the eel and spicy mayo dipping sauce that gives it a great sweet and spicy combo. He gets the Sakura roll and loves it - fresh and unique. For drinks, I love the white sangria - sweet and refreshing.

We were seated right away and given time to look over the menu before the Hibachi Chef arrived. I love how hibachi restaurants sit you with other people because we were seated next to a very nice couple celebrating a birthday. Once we placed our orders, the Chef came to our table and started the grill. Andreas, our Chef, did a great job entertaining us all while preparing our food. He was funny and very personable. I decided on the Steak & Chicken Combo which included Fried Rice and Vegetables. I also was able to enjoy my friend's Shrimp as well. The food was amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful and the shrimp was tender and fresh. Overall, the food and the service were a 10/10! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely return! I highly recommend stopping by if you're craving hibachi, you will not be disappointed!

Located right next to the Hampton Roads Coliseum, it's the perfect spot if you're in the area for an event. I went with two of my girls, and we had such a great time from start to finish. Our chef was so much fun -- exactly what you want from a hibachi experience. He kept us entertained the whole time, and the energy at the table just made the night even better. I ordered the filet with hibachi rice, and everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender, flavorful, and the rice was just as good as I remembered (honestly, that hibachi rice always hits ). Portions were generous too -- I ended up taking half my meal home, and it reheated really well the next day, which was a huge plus. Between the fun atmosphere, great service, and really solid food, this is definitely a spot I would go back to -- especially if I'm in the Coliseum area again. Honestly, I just wish I had a place like this closer to home because it was that good.

This place used to be called Yuma Sushi, which I reviewed nicely, but I never thought things would change so much with just a name change. Now, the restaurant's decor is very nice, but the so-called hostess didn't seem to please seat us. On top of that, she sat us at a table right in front of the open kitchen, dropped some menus on the table, and walked away. So the greeting was not lovely, and we were the only ones there. The restaurant had a musky smell to it, which I found out later to be the remaining booth. Now, the menu items are ala carte, dinner items, and combination meals--and very expensive. I needed help deciding and figuring out how the combinations work, so I settled for the chicken ramen and some fried sushi, which I regret getting. My wife had this chicken stir-fry, something she seems to like but wouldn't miss if she never had it again. I must say that the Sapparo beer I had was good and cold. The ramen was not favorable at all, and that musky smell in the air was the broth. The fried egg roll had a coating that tasted like peas, and I hate peas--but I managed to eat it anyway because I would have left there hungry. I just could not stomach that chicken ramen; it was just bad. There was no taste or seasoning. While waiting for our food, I read reviews on Yelp of the place. The server heard it. When she came over to collect our dishes after we ate, she rudely told me how clean the restaurant was; I asked her why she was yelling at me. She says I'm not yelling; I'm just telling you (she was yelling at me). Slams the check down, takes the rest of our dishes, and walks away. I was surprised my wife didn't go into defense mode, but she felt bad for the place because no one was coming in there. The total for that mess was $76.23. I did not return the rudeness to this server, but I paid for the meal anyway, and I wish I hadn't. Never pay for lousy service, and never go to this place; it's just wrong. Happy Yelping.
