Two stars for awful service but willingness to refund my money. I made 4 appointments with Terminix: the first two were for the initial treatment and the latter two for followup. The first day, 12-5 pm time slot, the technician came, "knocked" (but didn't ring the doorbell), left a message on the door and left. I was home and didn't hear anything -- when I called the phone line, the customer service rep was nice, and when she got in touch with the manager & technician they promised he had knocked really hard. I rescheduled: The second appointment was for a Saturday: Newton was prompt, professional, and did a great job. He explained that he does a lot of the region on weekends (instead of the usual tech). I saw a few bugs still around and so made a followup appointment (for a Thursday, the usual tech) a few weeks later. When I called the morning of to verify the appointment, it had been moved to Friday without informing me! The customer service rep was very helpful and moved it back to Thursday (at 5). Late that afternoon, the technician called me to apologize, he had a meeting and wouldn't be making the appointment, which shouldn't have been able to be scheduled anyway. At this point, I was willing to give the company and the tech the benefit of the doubt, the excuses were plausible. I rescheduled the followup for the next week, Thursday 5-7pm. Confirmed the appointment the morning of. No show. No note, and no excuse. I called at 630, 645, 650, and after 7 to see if the appointment was still on (it was), if the technician could be reached (he couldn't). At 6.50 they tried to call the service manager (not available). The customer service reps were doing a great job, very polite, and making a valiant effort. One or two was clearly somewhat dismayed at the no-show and inability to reach anyone at the office. At 7:10 I decided he wasn't going to show. The rep told me messages had been left for the service manager, and I should hear from him in 24hrs (didn't happen). I called today (2 business days, 4 calendar days) later. The manager was polite, apologetic, offered a discount, and was willing to refund my money when asked (+1 star). He was out of town, hence the lack of phone call - the message got lost apparently. All in all, great to work with on the phone, decent manager, great Saturday technician, not so great regular technician in my area.

    This will be my 4th and final review for the service I received in Annapolis. I originally wrote…read moreabout the 15,000 "exclusion" service I paid for last June. As noted in my previous emails, the team was supposed to clear out and seal my attic and the same with my crawl space. After the work was done and I reviewed both locations, I had some concerns but when I called my salesperson (Josh) and the customer service team, I received no response. At all. After months of posting poor Yelp reviews and a couple of half-hearted attempts to reach me but never calling me back when I returned the call, I finally received a call back. I think it was shortly after my third bad review, where I noted the report provided to me by Orkin (basically stating that the Terminix exclusion job was poorly done) that a Terminix Operations Manager named Darien finally called me to set up an appointment to review the work that had been done nearly a year ago. Turns out, the crew that performed the service last year did not replace all of the old insulation (which means any scent trail was still there) nor did they lift up any floorboards, which would've detected evidence of activity. Darien sent a crew out shortly thereafter to redo the entire job. My family said they heard the team complaining about the poor job done by the previous Terminix crew. The crew completed the job (I assume) on the second day. When I called Darien, who had been extremely pleasant, to see if the work was complete and for a report out, I received no response. Despite his voice mail stating that calls are returned in 48 hours, it has been more than two weeks of me calling and texting. I just don't understand this level of service. It's bad enough that a company with as much money as Terminix would make very little effort to do the job the customer paid for but to then ghost customers is insane. Darien was nothing but smiles when he came to the house (just like Josh the salesman). All he had to do was return my phone call and say, "Everything is complete. Here is what was done..." and then send me a written report of that work. Better yet, don't wait for me to track you down. Reach out to the customer immediately. Thank them for their business and then provide the information. I am thankful that Terminix did finally come out and do the job I paid for a year ago. But I am extremely disturbed at how callous this company is with their customer's money and with their own reputation. The truth is, Terminix only responded after I left multiple complaints on Yelp. This is my last Yelp complaint because I actually ran into someone in corporate who asked me to escalate my concerns to several people he named, which I will do today. If you live near Annapolis, MD, avoid purchasing Terminix's Exclusion service. Not sure if they're conning their customers or if they're just poorly run. Either way, I'm out of $15K and I'm still seeing rodents.

    We discovered a basketball-sized hornets's nest in a shrub next to our front porch. It was very…read moreactive and the hornets were extremely aggressive. My husband was stung by one, and he said it was like having a lit cigarette pressed onto his finger. After debating whether to try to go at it with a wasp killing spray, we decided that this job was beyond us. Because it was a Saturday and their office was closed, we left our contact info on All Star's website. Much to my surprise, Abdul, the company owner, called me very shortly thereafter! When I explained the problem, he deemed it an emergency and offered to come to our home the following day, Sunday. He also told us exactly what it would cost (extremely reasonable). He called us again Sunday morning with an approximate time of arrival. His kept us updated by text narrowing down the exact time. He arrived "dressed for battle" in protective gear. He treated the nest several times, then waited for the hornets to expire. He was at our home for about 45 minutes. He removed the huge nest, bagged it, and took it away with him. After being pretty much held captive and not able to be in our front yard for days, this was a huge relief. I cannot say enough good things about Abdul and the service he provided. He was so knowledgeable and very friendly and personable. He explained that his practices are based on his background in biology and are environmentally friendly. We are considering signing up for a yearly contract with All Star. We have been plagued with ants entering our home over the years, as well as mice. Abdul assured us that he would handle these as needed, as well as provide termite inspections with a yearly contract. Look no further for excellent quality pest control service with an experienced professional. Thank you Abdul and All Star!!

    I had another pest control company for over a year with my mice issue, all they did was place bait…read moreevery 2 weeks at the cost of 55.00 a pop and mice persist. It took All Stars 2 visits and the mice are gone. Just had a 3 month follow up and still no mice. Technician Arsene Wkouayep is outstanding, very thorough and even removed 2 wasp nests for us. I whole heartily recommend All Star, particularly Arsene.

    Thought I was calling the local orkin affiliate and ended up with a call-center in Atlanta Georgia…read more I wanted something simple like some carpenter bees, taken care of and got the complete runaround bouncing from call-center to call center spending approximately 30 minutes on hold. They did send out a representative, unannounced, a well-dressed female, that was hardly in any position to climb up a two-story ladder to look at carpenter bees. Bottom line is you will speak to more unqualified individuals apparently looking to upsell at Orkin and never get to anyone that knows what's going on.

I get another email stating my appointment was rescheduled for 8/24. I have removed items from the appropriate places for them to work and now my home looks a damn mess. They are very good at trying to make you think that the rescheduled date was your normal date and an appt was never set for 8/17th. I keep everything on my calendar. This has happened several times with them and I am just fed up with the non verbal communication. How can you reschedule my appt for another day not knowing if I have other plans.. Then the rep claims he don't know what happened. Bull!!! I know. Someone changed it without consulting me. That's what happened. This was my last straw!!! I am so done. Looking for another company asap. I would not recommend this company if you don't want to keep going through non communication or keep being cancelled or rescheduled on the day of your appointments without explanation.
