I've been coming to this nail salon for about 3 years. I live in Roseville and make the drive. I'm very picky with my nails and toes and I've never had an issue. The entire staff is very kind and super welcoming. Nhi and Julie do an amazing job at connecting with their clients. Julie is always very accommodating when I need a request of a change. She's punctual and when I don't know what designs to get she always is super helpful in coming up with beautiful nails. I get so many compliments all the time every where I go, including traveling to other states. I have tried several different salons in the Roseville/rocklin area since I had moved here 8 years ago and when I found this salon I have never gone anywhere else. Their customer service exceeds expectations every time!

I recently tried this nail salon and I was very excited because I had heard very good things & the reviews look really good! I went in and got a dip manicure done which was my first time doing so not exactly sure what the average process with those are but I was there for a little over two hours which seems like a bit much. The woman who did my nails was super friendly, super nice as well all of the other staff members! Once we got to the point I thought we were almost done, the nail tech started filing them down again and basically restarted which I'm assuming why it took so long. Had a total of three employees help with the manicure after everyone else had gone and everything was shut down. My nails looked fantastic! So cute!! Perfect length, color and shape. I would have rated them higher if my nails didn't literally pop off after only TWO weeks. Was very disappointed but I've heard such good things about them I might try them again.

I had a pedicure today and they drew blood on 2 toes. They had better hope it doesn't get infected. I tried to email them but the email on their website isn't valid.

Such a bummer because this place could be so great. I had been seeing Nhi, the owner, (who does great but is booked out waaaaay far in advance), for my last few times but this yesterday I saw Julie. She came highly recommended but I'm not sure why... there was no "manicure" as you can see in the photo, rather just the dip and color. When she asked me if I liked the color I told her that it wasn't really the cat eye effect I was looking for, but instead of offering the solution, she said "that's the color you picked". I know she was running behind because her 2pm had arrived and I was still in her chair at 2:15, but to not make an effort to make sure that the customer was satisfied it was pretty rude. The salon is clean and the girls are friendly, but I'll be looking for a new salon that doesn't rush me out and actually does cleanup the hands instead of just dip & polish.

I arrived to the salon as a walk in hoping that I could get a fill and reshape my nails, I had gone to a previous salon and they did a terrible job! I asked for a fill and French tip Tracy did an amazing job and gave me the look and style I asked for will definitely be back

Best nail salon! I'm super picky about my nails and I always go to Nhi or Julie for full sets or fills! They are sisters and are very talented! I usually go to Tammy or ivy for pedicures as well! I've been a loyal client for years and even though I moved out of Lincoln, I still drive here once a month to visit my girls!

This is almost a week of growth with my new set done by Lani. SHE IS SO AMAZING! ($55)

Folks! We've struck GOLD! I love this spot! It's still new to some here in Lincoln, but I believe they've been here a year already. They've have done really good reviews. Honestly, it's hard to filter through the picture with the business photos. I like seeing customer photos more than business photos. It shows the experience of someone coming here so a lot of those photos are not necessary... The salon inside is one of the biggest I have ever seen! Many chairs on the center for nails and many big massage chairs along the walls for pedicures! I love the floral decorations on the walls. It pops! This salon is very photogenic! My girlfriend and I called to see if they had time for us to walk in. It was about 3:45, and they didn't close until 6. My girlfriend needed a gel manicure ($30), and I was getting my nails filled ($40). As we walked in, it was gorgeous. Their check-in system is to type in your phone number and select done. Lani was my mail technician. She suggested a new full set ($50) because if I'm being honest, it had been longer than 2 weeks. She started by removing the acrylic and got on with a new set. She had me pick a color before we started, and I ended up changing my mind from a modern boring color to neon pink and neon orange. They didn't have the orange I wanted, but this one did great. I was charged an extra $5 for the length/coffin shape that I love. Lani is very particular and did AMAZING! She's fast, and not once did she knick my cuticles. That's such a major thing for me. She's very friendly and loved talking with her. I love my nails! Lani is most definitely stuck with me as long as she is there. My nails didn't get caught in my hair at all while they were growing out. THAT'S A HUGE BONUS! THANK YOU, BUI Nail Longe, for a phenomenal job! **Be sure to tip your nail technicians. Please!! They **so work very hard, and everyone here does such **an amazing job!

I was hoping for a better outcome because it was so close to home, but I'm not impressed. I got gel X and they are so thick and uneven. Overall they just look unfinished.

My daughter went to get acrylics here today and before they started working on her nails she showed them two pictures of what she wanted and they said ok. What she got was probably something I could have done...uneven blotchy art. It took 3 techs and an hour longer than the appointment was supposed to be and they still couldn't get it right. It wasn't even a super difficult design! Two Pics are the photos my daughter showed them and the rest are of their final work! I have captioned them all so you know which is which. My daughter is a full time college student so every penny counts. To pay $100.00 for a bad nail job is not ok! I wish you could give zero stars! If you cannot do a design tell the person versus wasting their time and money!!!

I'm really bummed this place didn't work out for me. I tried it multiple times and had a good experience half the time & the other half I didn't. I like that the salon feels relaxing and it's easy to make an appt. What I didn't like was how my nails didn't last. On one occasion, I had the top layer of my dip nail peeling so I went back in & they fixed it for free. I was hesitant to try it again after that but I did & took my mom. Within 1 week, the same thing that happened to me happened to my mom's nails & my dip started chipping off again within 2 weeks. I've never had that experience with dip before- I'm not sure what they use or what their technique is but it didn't work for me.

I swear I get the worst technicians when I do a drop in. These are my nails that were done last Tuesday and already ripped right off. My middle finger one just lifted right off the nail as if it wasn't prepped right. I love going because it's close but I either need to schedule well ahead of time with the owner or sister or go somewhere else that can work with my simple nails. read more

My girlfriend has gone here a couple times and they've been really hit or miss. If you take the chance, avoid Vu at all costs. He has very limited knowledge of the practice and the shop, didn't listen to what she wanted, regularly caused pain, prodded her about very inappropriate topics, and basically refused to do what she asked. AVOID VU! read more

I needed to get my nails done and didn't have a lot of time. I decided to try Bui because it was close to my house and looked nice online. To my surprise they were able to get me right in. Henry was amazing! He saw that I was looking at the lighter colors and asked if I wanted to try ombré and I said what the heck. So pretty and natural! I will be back! read more

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because I received a call from one of the nail artists. I have tried my hardest to give this place a try, but last Saturday, 2/3 was the last straw. We had 3 appointments at 10:30 for my elderly mother, my sister, and me that I scheduled when I left my appointment two weeks prior. They were scheduled with specific nail artists. When I arrived and checked in with my phone number, their screen showed I had 3 appointments at 10:30 as well. Right after checking in, they confirmed we had two appoints with 2 of the 3 nail artists I had scheduled with. The artist my appointment was with came up and told me my appointment was at 11:30. He immediately left to start the client waiting for him. Julie, who is from my understanding, the co-owner came up and adamantly said your appointment is at 11:30 repeatedly. I even showed her my text confirmation, and she held steadfast to say my appointment was at 11:30. Julie told me I should schedule on their website. And then asked me who I scheduled with. When I asked who she could get me in with, she wasn't even sure they could get me in at the same time as my mom and sister. I decided to leave. After I left, my sister went out to help my mom get into the nail salon. When she re-entered the establishment, the nail artist she was scheduled with came to her and said, "I'm not sure what happened, but you are not scheduled until 12:30 with me." This after they had already confirmed our appointments for 10:30 and named the nail artists the appointments were with. This is not the first time this has happened at BUI. I will say the nail artist whom I was scheduled with called me to apologize and said to schedule with them directly. Said his peers don't know how to schedule appointments. I might have been more forgiving had they been apologetic from the beginning and owned their mistake instead of trying to make it sound like it was a mistake I made. I am not the type of person who believes the customer is always right, but I showed them proof of appointment confirmation. As a co-owner, she should have handled this differently. read more

Super cute place! Typically pretty busy and everyone very nice. I got my nails and gel color change a week ago. One of my toenails gel polish is already peeling/lifting. Henry did my nails. He is super nice but nails did not turn out great. Different lengths, not the shape I asked for bumpy and nail color uneven. Just not super impressed for spending $100. Would like to say I would come back but probably not. read more

I checked in at 3:39 PM and I did not leave until 6:30 PM. This was for a basic pedicure with gel and a fill. There was no reason for it to last this long especially for a fill. A fill was $50 so I might as well have started my nails fresh. The guy working my nails named phi argued with me when I told him that my nails were not all the same length, he proceeded with the nails and told me that they were fine and when he applied the acrylic, for some reason, my nail bed started to burn, and this has never happened to me before at any salon I let him know and he said it was OK and sprayed alcohol on my nails to cool them. read more

My mom and sisters live in the area and will only go here, my mom made appointments for me and part of my bridal party the day before my wedding. Everyone was happy with their mani/pedis and my wedding nails came out absolutely beautiful! They told me they can do pretty much anything you show them and did not disappoint! The manager Nhi contacted me after I posted my review and offered for me to get my nails fixed at no charge. She made room for a tech to take me that same morning. I chose a different color this time around and am definitely happy with the results. Thank you so much for taking me last minute and fixing my nails. The tech who fixed my nails name is Singh (sorry if I spell the name wrong). He specializes in dipped powder. I'd recommend him. His work is effortless and clean. The shape itself was fine but do not get any designs it was awful and cheap looking but they charged me 85 bucks for a dip powder full set. The flowers on the nails had huge gaps between the inside and the actual petals. When I went to take them off my nails were super ruined underneath. I'm now happier wearing press on nails while they heal. The photos I attached were what I wanted vs what I got. I wanted light pearls scattered around but instead it was put so strange and the pearls faded off after handwash so it was a super gross looking by then. I was under the impression it was 50 and I figured it was fine for 50 but for 85 sorry not worth it. read more

Update: See the argumentative response from the manager saying their manicure bubbled because I have oily nails. This seems like a bogus response and PS - I've had gel nails before at another salon with zero problems. Another bogus justification - comparing the service to a restaurant order, and boasting that they have 4 businesses in Lincoln. The positive reviews on here are here because they provide a discount for a good review OR the review is posted by an employee that works there. I would look at the lower star ratings for an accurate summary of this place. There are many of them. read more

Thinking of a pedicure? DON'T go to BUI!! I had a 12pm appointment, but they didn't start my pedicure until 1:15. My feet were pruned, cold, and having them touched didn't feel good! The prices are steep, granted it is a new salon, it's really cute, & there are tons of chairs/stations. BUT 9 days after my $78 (w/tip) pedicure, my gel polish is chipping and lifting around the edges. I mentioned my experience at a neighborhood party and EVERY lady there said they had the same LONG wait time, gel polish chipping, and one person said there's started chipping day 2. This place is a little pricey. It is my granddaughter's birthday and wanted to surprise her! Made an appt so the girls could do together....that is not all that is happening! Now they are doing separately! Disappointing! Then the nail technician spills the water bowl all over birthday girl! :( Completely ignoring my request to have someone else help my other granddaughter! I finally said "We have to be out of here as close to 4"..... I appreciate your response! As I had mentioned, the review was written before any acknowledgement. Finally a nail salon that delivers great service, amazing details to you nails, beautiful aesthetic and also an incredible staff of wonderful women and men who never disappoint. I love coming here and the best part is Nhi is so sweet in always greeting you whether you are her client or not. I had Julie do my dip nails and let me say I am very particular and she did an INCREDIBLE job. The time she took on my nails was very much so appreciated, and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I also recommend Angela for pedicures she's very sweet and does a great job the past few times I have had her. This nail salon is new to the area but it gets very busy so I do recommend making an appointment so that you can enjoy the experience with one of the fabulous nail technicians there. Cant wait to come back again in a few weeks, since this is now my to go place for nails! read more

UPDATE: Nhi reached out to me personally upon posting my initial review of my subpar experience. Nhi and Julie really turned my experience around. The customer service was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and I am in love with my nails! I recently lost my nail tech of several years due to her location and schedule changes so I asked Facebook for some suggestions and was told that Nhi was wonderful. They weren't wrong, she is wonderful. Julie is super talented, gentle, and really enjoys her profession after seeing the time and details she puts into each client. During my initial experience, there were two super sweet ladies that completed my twin daughters' gel manicures. They too were wonderful, patient, and kind. I removed the negative comments from my review as they truly went above and beyond. Thank you, Julie and Nhi, I will be back in a few weeks :) read more

First time trying this nail salon, and I guarantee that it won't be the last! I got lucky first with the salon, and then second with my nail tech Julie. She gave me exactly what I asked for and made my nails even better than I have ever seen them. So happy that this salon is minutes from my house! Love love love this mail salon. My nails always look fantastic afterwards, it's so cute and modern inside, they provide water which is great when it's hot, they offer champagne / mimosas, the staff is incredibly friendly - it has become my go to salon! The pedicures feel amazing and they always end my mani with a hot towel (which is my favorite part of a pedicure and manicure lol). I'm happy to continue being a return customer! So glad we have them here. read more

After my first review the owner Nhi reached out so I decided to give them another chance and I'm glad I did! Lynn did my gel pedicure and I will be coming back just to see her again. It didn't feel rushed and was very relaxing. I'm not sure if they typically spend a lot of time cleaning the cuticles for a dip manicure, I believe the manicurist was Sing and he just used a drill to take care of the cuticles so I asked Nhi after if I could have some cuticle oil. It hasn't been a full week yet, but so far my nails are holding up good! The staff is very attentive and friendly. I will be coming back and hope this becomes my go to nail salon! read more

I have never left a bad review after a pedicure because I'm really not that picky and as long as my nails look decent I'm happy. But this time I am because I have never had a pedicure where I felt so rushed. I paid $38 for the basic pedicure and the technician literally only spent 23 minutes on my nails/feet. The basic pedicure is advertised as 35 minutes so the least you can do is spend 35 minutes. I work hard for my money and once a month treat myself to a pedicure so I can relax. This was far from relaxing, I will never come back. read more

I tried this salon when they first opened and wasn't happy with the nails and the gel was chipping off after 3 days. After reading all of the positive reviews, I decided to give them another try. My mistake. Everyone is super nice but my nails are horrible. I got a full set of acrylic nails with gel polish. First none of the nails are the same shape and some are filed so thin on the sides that it looks like I'm wearing children's fake nails. The gel either has bubbles it in or is uneven, leaving all of the nails bumpy and not smooth on top. I showed the lady the design that I wanted and after she was done she then told me it was an additional charge, probably should've asked before she started if it was more. The design was supposed to be leopard print but came out more like polka dots. Im very frustrated because it's not cheap and I would not recommend this place. read more

I recently had a horrible experience at Bui. I went in for a fill and basic pedicure, and it took over 3 hours to complete the service. This is completely unacceptable for this service. To make matters worse, my nails turned out awful. The polish was uneven, and the shaping was inconsistent. The manager did attempt to fix them, but the damage was already done. As if that wasn't bad enough, my cuticles were over-trimmed, and I've had bleeding for three days following the visit. This is not only painful but also concerning for hygiene reasons. Despite all of this, I was charged full price with no discount or compensation offered. I would strongly advise against going to this salon. There are plenty of other places that will value your time and provide a much better service. read more

Been going to Nhi for years at her other shops, and this is our first time at the new shop, BUI Nails Lounge. Bigger, nicer place, but same excellent service. What is it with businesses in Lincoln charging a surcharge if using a debit or credit card? Friendly reminder to companies, it is ILLEGAL to charge a fee on top of the service if using credit or debit (Civil Code § 1748.1). So for consumers, if you don't want to be charged extra then bring cash. read more
