First time here and unfortunately never again. I walked in and was seated right away for a pedicure, but the service quality was disappointing. The male technician was nice, but the foot massage was minimal, the nail shape was uneven, and the polish application looked messy and unprofessional. Hands down, worst and shortest pedicure in the history of pedicures!! They charged me $56.65 for 20 minutes. $10 of that was for callous treatment which consisted of applying the gel and then immediately immersing my feet back into the water. Then scrubbed the callouses for less than 10 seconds per foot. The hot stone massage lasted less than 60 seconds per leg, and stones were not HOT. They did not file my nails, and when I told the second person that the first person had not filed them she gave me that empty, "I'm gonna pretend I don't speak English" look!! So I touched the big toe and made the file motion with my hand, so she filed the one toe I touched and then proceeded to paint them. I brought my own color yet received only ONE coat of polish. I was tempted to complain when being charged but I really don't think it would have mattered. Better to just let people know that if you're looking for a nail salon, keep looking!!! Don't go to this shop!!! And if the owner is reading this, I am the lady with the tie-died t-shirt that you KNOW got a bad pedicure with bad service and paid top dollar! You Suck!!! I feel like I was just robbed!!! I had to work a lot harder and a lot longer than you did to make the $56.65 you charged me. read more

This was my first visit with Crystal Nails. My friend made an appointment for us two days prior at 3:30 PM. They offered "dip powder" for my manicure so I decided to try it for the first time. I was helped by three different nail technicians. After the nice woman soaked my old gels, a man came and used his own nails to scratch off the old polish and finished it up with a nail dremel and managed to nick my skin a couple times. After they helped other customers, another gal came to do my dip powder and my cuticles were never treated or cut, they just started applying the dip powder. Before they started, I asked if they could do a simple Mickey Mouse head silhouette and they said it was fine. After filling down the dip powder and really scratching up the red accent nail, she drew a very small, crooked Mickey. She told me to wait and that someone else would apply my top coat. The next nail technician came to apply my top coat and smeared the Mickey so the other gal had to come back and redo it. I asked if she could make it bigger. She fixed the one nail and asked me if she had to fix the other Mickey and I told her that if she happy with how uneven they were she could leave it, so she did. She then told me to sit at the drying table. She came back after several minutes and told me I was done. With all of this polish and dip powder all over my fingers!!! I pointed it out and she told me to have a seat. I waited a while and the nice lady came back. She grabbed the cuticle cutter that they used on my friend. SHE DIDN'T EVEN GET CLEAN TOOLS! Instead of using nail polish remover, she used the nail file and cuticle cutter to pick and scratch it off my skin. Afterwards, she told me I was done and they went to ring me up for a full price dip manicure. I told her how disappointed I was with the service and that I shouldn't have to pay full price with this messy work, long wait and not even a full manicure. The lady that drew the uneven Mickey's tried to fight me on the pricing. The man came and finally just told me to go. I left at 5:15 PM. I love supporting small businesses, but this was not okay. I've been all around Roseville in four years and finding places I like is hit and miss. The language barrier is my only issue with nail services. I try to find places that have developed their English so that I can receive what I pay for. Had my first visit here last night and I sat with Kevin. He understood everything I said and made my nails look just how I wanted! I attached my rounded nails and the picture I came in with - great job, right?! They were friendly and it was soooo relaxing in there. Good music, great decorations, and I was seen right when I came in. I came here to get a manicure and pedicure prior to leaving for vacation. My brother had gotten me a gift certificate a while back for my birthday. I was the only person there which was nice because there was only one guy working. I can't STAND when I go to salons and they all chat back and forth in Vietnamese. I know it seems to always happen but I really find it rude. Anyway, since there was only one person working there was none of that. He spent a good amount of time on my feet. He seemed to make it his personal mission to extract every piece of dead skin on my feet and nails. Maybe some people would like this but I was going to Disneyworld the next day and my feet got a ton of blisters. I think maybe I needed that skin as a cushion. Anyway, not a big deal. I also got a no-chip manicure. There was some confusion about that. I had read the prior yelp review about the price discrepancy so I wanted to clarify that it was a gel manicure and it was $25. He seemed confused and finally said it was $25 but with no massage. I said fine. He did the manicure and it looked nice and did last all the way through my 12 day vacation. My issue came when I paid. I am not remembering the exact amounts but my total came to something around $45 or $50. I paid with a $40 gift card and wanted to use my credit card for the rest. He said he couldn't take it because he'd have to charge me a fee since my total was under $10. First of all charging fees for customers regardless of amount is a violation of their merchant agreement with visa. Second of all once I added his tip it would have been over $10. Fortunately, I had some cash with me so I went ahead and paid cash but wasn't too happy with that policy. read more

I don't reccommend going to this nail salon. This was my first visit with my daughter and everyone was very nice but the work is TERRIBLE!! They always brag on how good they are but of all the nail salons I've been in they are by far the WORST! I got a mani on my toes and asked for a french with a flower. The nail polish on the flower ran creating an ugly spear at the bottom of my toe nail! The French tip was uneven and had air bubbles in it. It was so terrible that I went back the next day and made them redo it. Unfortunately I got the same lady (forgot her name) and she removed the flower I paid for and kept the once again uneven French tip, then painted over my nails with a rainbow glitter polish! It looked like something for a 5 year old! I also got my brows done by Crystal and all she kept saying was how good she was. NOT!! My brows are RUINED! What was I thinking to let them even touch my brows?! They are now UNEVEN and PENCIL THIN! The only way to fix it is to grow them all the way in (Ahh!) and start all over! Just when I thought I was at my boiling point my daughter showed me her nails and they were HORRIBLE! The acrylic was really thick and very wide! I felt like everyone in that shop was just practicing on us! Not to mention my daughters nails only lasted a week! They all literally just fell off like glue on nails! When I first moved to Roseville I was looking for a nail salon and this place was the 3rd place I tried. The first time they did my nails they were really good so I decided to make this my permanent spot. Until about the 4th or 5th time I went there, the prices went up by $5 for the Gel Manicure, so I was thinking it is okay because they do a good job. But when I went I requested a purple color which was fine but 2 days later my nails turned gray and the purple faded. So I went back to the shop to show them and the lady was letting me know there was nothing they can do it about and that it was probably because I got in a swimming pool??? And I expressed haven't been swimming in years. So she said maybe it is a new product you are using. But the point is that I let her know nothing had changed in my regime at all and it was there polish. Plus on the day that I got my nails done it was not the same lady that I am use to, honestly think they let a new girl do my nails. After she insisted it was my fault I asked her what can we do to fix it and she said she would charge me $15 to fix it. So at that moment I decided to not go back because I felt like she was trying to put blame on me and then charge me because of there mistake. So I have not gone back and do not plan on going back. read more

I usually love this place. I've taken my daughter and myself here for years. They always do her nails for prom, graduation, and a couple weddings. They usually do a phenomenal job. Sadly the last time I went in, just to get a gel manicure it sadly was subpar. A couple of my nails you could see through the paint and one she tried to fix but it just made it too thick and bumpy. Clean place. They have dogs! So beware if you don't like them but they were nice and left everyone alone. I am from out of town, (Bay Area), and it was nice to be able to walk in and get a pedicure without and appointment. It was $32 for a shellac pedicure which is cheaper than the Bay Area prices! They are also very precise with their pedicures! They used base Coat for the shellac polish aswell. 5/5!! Definitely worth coming here! I got the regular pedicure and the massage was worth it! Here is the deal. They do a great job and are not expensive. That said, every time I make an appointment they don't take my name down... they just tell me to come. Needless to say I am sitting here 30 min after my appointment time and they are not even close to finishing their current walk in customers. It has happened before and I am not coming back. Once they start one of the guys always start taking my old gel off and takes a decade to get it done. I have timed 2 hours the last 2 times I came. I have been going here for at least a year, if not more. At first it was nice and I was very pleased, would have given this 5 stars, but the last 3 visits have been disappointing. First of all, nearly all of the massage chairs are now broken, so its uncomfortable to sit there wth a set of giant balls digging into your back. The water was so hot I thought my feet were going to start cooking, the wax is too flipping hot too. The polish is too thick at times and it smudges, even though I stay a while after under the lights. Not going back here anymore - sorry Crystal, you lost 3 loing time customers. read more

My 15 year old daughter went with a friend to get a set of acrylics. The price on the posted price list was $25. When she went to pay, they charged her $40. When I called to ask about the discrepancy, they said that they put gel polish on, which is an extra $15. My daughter did not ask for the gel, and was not told that there would be an additional charge. When I went in the next day to speak to the owner, she said that it was my word against the technician's and refused to take any responsibility for the problem. She claimed that my daughter should have looked at the price list. The owner and the technician argued with me for several minutes before I simply left, with them continuing to argue as I walked out the door. The nails didn't even look that good. They were too wide and thick and my daughter could have done a better job applying the nail polish while driving over a bumpy road. read more

I got my nails done here, a shellac manicure. Service was good and ambiance was great. Place looks very nice. My biggest issue (I've been getting my nails done for 20 years) was that as I was getting my shellac manicure he started to massage my back. I thought "oh this is a nice bonus, I never have nail salons massage my back awesome !" And about two minutes into it he started to finish the massage and told me its $30 for shellac mani with back massage. If I want basic shellac mani no massage its $25. I told him I wish he would have told me before he started massaging me it cost extra ! Its only 5$ but its the principal !! And then he told me its not extra $5 its just that their shellac manis all cost 30. But yet if I want to downgrade its 25$. Isn't that the same thing ? Either way I told him I felt like this was bait and switch and bad business practices. I don't think it was the guys fault. I think the owner needs to take responsibilty for her employees not being forthcoming about services before they even start. Then he told me after he finishes manicure he will show me price list to co nfirm. I looked and price list was not clear at all. No where on it did I see $30 shellac manicure *includes back massage. $25 shellac manicure no back massage. It said gel manicure $35. First off a gel manicure can be anything, ive had fake nails put on and they call that acrylic, solar, uv, or gel. There are alot of choices. But you see... gel does not automatically mean. Shellac or gelish polish. second of all $35 is a different price. I then had the owner call me after all of this and apologize, thank me for the advice of being more upfront, and explain to me that the $30 gel mani does not include a back massage, she just started doing it as a bonus to customers and the employee was also giving it to me as a bonus. I then told her "okay I understand but he also told me I could have the same gel mani no back massage for $25 so do you see how that could be confusing to a first time customer?" She said yes and told me she would do that going forward. I did not ask for a refund and at the same time was surprised to not be offered a refund by the owner. To add to this experience, I mentioned to her the work was not that well and she did not address that. Even though I said some of the nailpolish ended up around my nail. It just looks a little sloppy. No comment from her. All of this is to state facts people, I'm not badmouthing this company just giving a detailed account of my experience and u can all decide if u want to give it a try or not.
