The Hillsdale mall location was stocked with plenty of christmas ornaments to choose from, not the best selection, but I saw a couple good ones. I ended up purchasing the birch hare, which has a unique look different from the typical cutesy ones I typically get from Hallmark. I also found an adorable penguin gift bag... not just printed pics of penguins, that's not original... the bag is actually shaped and designed to look like a penguin. Very cute. This place doesn't really stand out from other Hallmark stores, but it was clean and organized as black friday weekend came to an end this past Sunday, and service was friendly and efficient. The selection is so vast because of the ranges in materials, quality, age range, and target audience. So, I love Fog Town Toys not only for its glorious name, but also for its amazingly curated selection. Don't get me wrong, there a lot of toys in the store, which utilizes every inch of the moderately sized store. But, each toy was clearly deliberately picked. All of the toys are great quality and enticing. The owner is also as nice and warm as she is masterful at her job! Find Fog Town, and then you can conveniently enjoy some gelato a few doors down.

Walked in, browsed for a bit, and wanted to purchase 2 items for my nephew and niece. Sales associate was on the phone the entire time having a great conversation, which was fine. She put down the phone, rung us up. We paid for the items and left the store. Immediately when we exited the store, my wife felt that she was over charged since the items were on sale. She checked the receipt and she was correct. It happens. We marched right back in to the store and let the same associate know. This is where things went downhill. She didn't say a word to us while she was fixing the error. It wasn't necessarily her fault. But, she was not happy that she had to credit us back. Frankly, she was downright rude about it because she really didn't want to be bothered to fix this error. She finally spoke to us to let us know we were getting a credit back. We asked about another gift receipt and it was a real big ask for her. Needless to say, this store lost a customer.

I just picked my 7 year old on her last day of the 3-week summer camp at Kid Stock in the Mission…read more(St James Location) and she was in TEARS because she didn't want it to be over. She loved this camp and we loved this camp for her. Mind you, this was a camp her theater-nerd mom enrolled her in, and she was really NOT wanting to go due to nerves, but from day one she came home happy and had a great time doing art projects, playing outside, making friends all while learning lines, singing songs, and practicing dance moves. She would come home from camp *wanting* to practice. We didn't have to push her and she went into the show ready and nerve-free! Yesterday was the performance and she dazzled us as she flawlessly delivered her lines loud and proud and stepped up to the mic for her duet. I'm so impressed with what she and all the kids were able to pull off in only 3 weeks. The staff I'd chat to at pick up each day seem truly passionate about theater and making it fun for the kids. Shout out to Rachel and Johnny, though she specifically tells me she liked "all the teachers in fact". The site director, Meg was really good about sending update emails before the camp and after each week so we knew what to expect. Love that they provided the mp3 files for the kids to practice the songs at home. They did a little talent show on the last day and I learned she stepped up and sang her whole song solo for the group. During the school year, she backed out of auditioning for her school's talent show saying she was only comfortable on stage with other people next to her... So we were impressed she did this and that they were able to build up her confidence enough to do that! Thank you, Kid Stock! We will absolutely be back next summer. My only suggestion for next time: More chairs at the final performance and a "kids in front" policy so the siblings/friends can see! :)

The first performance I sat through I cried happy tears - so amazed and proud of my kids who were…read morenormally so shy and reserved, singing a solo into a microphone in front of a packed audience! The staff of Kidstock are incredible, and nurture the kids in such a way that they walk onto that stage full of confidence. My kids look forward to summer camp with Kidstock each year and one of my children found her inner actor through the program and attends year round. I'm so grateful to the program for helping my children feel passionate about the arts!

We did the party package where you had play time in the playground, then time in party room, then arcade. We chose last time slot on a Saturday I think. Since the play time is timed I'd recommend warning all your guests about it and have them arrive early. We sent all the parents a schedule and heads up so things could run super smooth and the kids could enjoy every minute of play time. Parking is very limited since it's a super small lot and there's a party ahead of you too. The host family has a reserved parking spot out front but our guests definitely need to just find street parking, they came early and seemed to find parking fine. Staff will collect bday gifts in a cart which is super helpful. The indoor play structure is super big and spacious and has a toddler area too. A big kids track with basketball like area with soft balls is right next to play area and had some areas for adults to sit. Adults can chill upstairs in the lounge area too. Play area is gated. You have option to have staff lead the kids in a series of games at the track area which is great way to get the entire party together at end of play time which my daughter loved. Afterwards the kids line up n wash hands n everyone is led upstairs to the party room. The party room is like jungle safari theme decorated painted on the walls. Space is a bit tight/cramped but good air flow and fine. Staff will walk around serving the kids food which is great. Everyone can eat and enjoy without the adults spending time to serve and feed the kids. Afterwards we went down to arcade room and played and you get tickets and redeem for prize. Everyone was able to walk away with a prize which is perfect. Only downside is it gets hot. "Arcade area definitely needs a remodel with AC or at minimum very good fans. I would suggest the owners to highly consider this as it's a bit run down looking compared to the rest of the facility". But even if a remodel is not done, the arcade area is good as is. Maybe buying a few portable fans to hand out to the few guests who might overheat is good enough. Guests had so much fun !! and we got a lot compliments how well run everything was !! They have a food vendor which was perfect too. We plan to have our daughter's 7th bday here again this year as we can't find a better venue that can be so spacious and run so well. Definitely 5 stars. At end of the night, the staff loaded our car with gifts, leftover food. For us, the less work the better so we can actually enjoy the party while hosting. As a parent, a few things that I really liked about this camp: 1) they provide snack 2) they make sure the kids wash their hands 3) they have a drive thru pick up/ drop off system. Very easy and convenient. You show your ID to pick up your kid - very safe. 4) the kids did so many activities throughout the day. They would play games and do crafts and it seemed like the workers were very engaged with the kids 5) they share pictures with you at the end of the week. They really utilized the space they have this year, the store is filled with some of the most amazing Halloween products. They did a great job with setting up the flow of merchandise and ensuring all the stock is out. The spirit has really upped their game on the animatronics this year, I was so impressed and excited to put together our front yard theme of carnival terror, which is what Spirits theme is as well this year!
