I'm so happy with my Cupcake Kuromi! She's cute and adorable and kawaii and I built her at the Build-A-Bear x Hello Kitty and Friends Workshop at Century City Mall! This was such a fun experience and highly recommended for my fellow Sanrio obsessed peoples. On the second floor of the mall, right across from Hai Di Lao, you'll find this super cool Build-A-Bear shop. It's special. Super special. Because it's all Sanrio themed with the cutest characters to stuff, adorable outfits, all the cute things! Ahhh, kawaii explosion! Seriously, my nieces & I took so many adorable photos in here. We were warmly greeted and left to browse a bit around the store. When we were ready to get started, the kindest person ever helped all 3 of us with our building! I may be old, but it was still exciting pressing the pedal! I ain't gonna front. However, the kids def had more fun than me! The person helping us was a humble Sanrio expert telling tales and blowing our mind that Cinnamoroll is a boy. Like...what! How do I not know that! Staff was amazing from start to finish. Now, this is not a cheap endeavor so I'm sharing some details of pricing for an idea, but keep in mind this was in August 2025, ymmv. Each Sanrio Plush was $38, adding a heartbeat was $7.50, adding a scent was $8, and then the clothes we picked ranged from $8-11 a piece. The clothes are so cute with Los Angeles Sanrio themes on them. Now keep in mind if this is too much Sanrio for you, there are a few normal Build A Bear options. But what's the fun in that!? When all was said and done, I spent $241 for 3 Sanrio Build-A-Bears and the experience here. I let each niece pick 1 outfit, 1 accessory, scent or heartbeat, and then of course the doll. I love my $80 Kuromi doll now lolz. I will happily look at her and remember the fun I had here! Legit!

We happened to see this while we were at Century city and this is not a pop up . They are there permanently. I love how they have most of the characters. My daughter picked her favorite. The staff was nice and they sang a song together while stuffing and putting a heart in the character. We love the experience. Not bad for Sanrio where you can customize your character. $38 to start and of course you can add the voice box and dress up that will add up more money but still a good deal.

This Hello Kitty & friends Build A Bear Workshop is sok adorable..i love the atmosphere and the emplyees were extra kid friendly and patient with the kids. Very clean, organized but however its a little bit small so the line gets really tight and long. Maybe they can eventually move into a bigger space or expand here. Not enough wriggle room to even look at things and fully enjoy the shop without bumping into others or without someone blocking your full view of everything and just staying real snug if you dont mind. Over all a great fun experience, it is a little pricey but its licensed so shouldnt expect anything less than that. I would tell everyone who loves Hello Kitty to chrck it out!!

    Soooo cute!

Cutest xmas present ever! My sweet niece gifted me an experience to remember. After xmas we spent the day in L.A. and enjoyed building a bear. Love the collaboration of build-a-bear x hello kitty! It was really hard choosing a sanrio character because I grew up loving just about all of them. Chococat with his big ole eyes will be my new buddy. I kept him pretty bare, lol. My gang chose "converse" sneakers for him. Super cute. I and my sister-in-law must be the oldest there haha, we're young at heart. It's definitely a great place to leave all your stress behind and adopt a plushie. Makes a great gift for any loved ones on your life. It will put a smile on their faces as it surely put one on mine. Service was friendly. It was a pretty crowded day, as it was a Saturday. However, there wasn't really a wait to build your bear. If you want a birth certificate, prep it at one of the touch screens. Or you can do it online, at home. Enjoy xx

If you have ever been to a Build-a-Bear this is such a great place for kids to make their own stuffed animal but this one is specific to Hello Kitty and Friends. It's located at Westfield Century City Mall on the second floor on the side closer to Macy's. They have so many choices and cute outfits. Be prepared to spend a little or a lot. You can customize your stuffy with a voice, song, scent and create a birth certificate too. Everyone is friendly and helpful and makes the experience special for the kids. We went on a weekday so it was busy but not too busy. Location just opened so I heard that the lines on the weekend especially with Christmas around the corner are pretty long.

This place was adorable! I came here with some adult friends. I bought melody - (hello kitty friend). All the staff are friendly ( Katie & Jeremy) they are very polite! The price was a little expensive but the quality and the smiled when I gave to my daughter as incentives for her good grades was very precious! My other two friends love what they're bought too! Tips - plenty of parking but expensive ( $26) from 11-4pm Food court - good place to hang out! Stores- plenty of stores

It's not my daughter's first Build-A-Bear experience but they only had her favorite Sanrio character, Chococat, in this location so we decided to stop by on our way from the airport. We arrived just about when the mall opened so parking was not difficult at all. The actual store is every Sanrio-lover's dream! They got a wide selection of characters, clothes, shoes, etc. The actual experience of having your own bear made is made extra magical and special by all the amazing, friendly staff. It's worth some money but seeing such joy in my daughter's eyes is priceless!

My friend and I initially thought that this was a pop-up, but turns out this is the location here to stay. Had we known that, we probably would've not waited two hours and a half the weekend of its opening regardless I was really happy with my purchase, even though it's one of the most expensive stuffed animals I've ever owned in my life. I am obsessed that I purchased it with a heartbeat that you can add on and you can even add on a scent as well. I was so excited with all the accessories, my stuffed animal couldn't have come out any more perfect. The whole process is so fun and charming even for an adult.

I went there today with my family I love the place despite it's small. We had so much fun buying plushies that we didn't own yet. We bought like 7 different Hello Kitty x BAB. Shoutout to Briauna for being very helpful and awesome the whole time; however, another staff with braces which I don't want to mention her name was very unprofessional and rude to us. She kept telling us that there is a limit quantity when we were told by a store manager that there isn't! She got only one job but she can't finish the check out and cancel everything and had Briauna re-checkout for us. I wonder if she ever undergone a proper training before working in the store.

i went with my friends everyone was so amazing and friendly specifically jill, madeline, haley, and giselle. haley also repaired one of our hello kitty's that we purchased at a different time and made her look brand new!! they were awesome to talk to gave us a lot of information and were very helpful definitely coming again! lots of exclusives and worth the drive. thank you guys for making our experience unforgettable

I went in on an empty thursday and saw the cutest sanrio bear & received no greeting or help from anyone. The three girls in the store were talking about how they didn't like their job and other nonsense making the magic in the store completely fade. My last straw was them not helping me through the process at all so I left without my bear & now Im super sad and bearless. I feel as if I was discriminated for not being a child but a job is a job & these girls suck at theirs they need to be employed at a McDonalds instead

I came in for Mocha and Milk and the shop is small but really cute. Employees were friendly but I just wanted to write a special thanks to Laura for making our experience extra special. She saw my bf and I were building Mocha and I had him help me make a wish with her heart and so she offered to let him add a heart in too. We have a lot of Sanrio bears so knowing my bf has also added a heart to this one was really cute. My only sadness was that this location doesn't have stamp for the pawsport! The checkout girl gave us a sticker to make up for it .

We didn't know the family or child well, only that he was turning four and has an older brother. I purposely wanted to shop local and support an independent business, and a quick search on Yelp led me here. We arrived about an hour before closing on Saturday, which was great because parking meters end at 4pm and we found parking out front easily. We were greeted by an employee behind the desk as we walked in. She asked if there was anything she could help us find, and I let her know we were first time customers looking for a birthday gift with the details mentioned above. She let us know the layout of the store, her suggestions, but let us look freely. Over time more customers arrived with small children, and received the same courteous service. The store is clean and curated. I appreciated seeing well made toys and items inspiring imaginative play, rather than cheap plastic with distracting lights or sounds. I eventually chose a doctor play set as well as some items for my own children, such as animal figures and stamp markers. They offer free gift wrapping, which is a nice touch. The one alarming fact that stood out is that there were many empty storefronts on their block, so it's more important than ever to support our local economy. Their prices reflect investment in well made items, so I would not come here expecting big box store deals. In a world full of Target and Amazon, I would rather spend my money supporting a local, independent business. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back with our kids this holiday season.

They open at 12:00 PM, but people start lining up well before that. Thankfully, I went on a Wednesday, so I didn't have to wait very long. Once you get inside, they hand you a ticket, and you are watched like a hawk as you wander through the store. The store is super cute inside with tons to look at, though it is heavily dominated by Sonic and Persona merch. They have a lot of items that are usually only sold in Japan, which means they are imported--and priced accordingly. The prices here are sky-high, so I wouldn't recommend planning a massive shopping spree unless you want to empty your wallet. I ended up only purchasing one item: a little Shadow the Hedgehog plushy for $20. Why I'm Knocking Off Stars : The service here was almost nonexistent. While the girl at the door handing out tickets was friendly enough, the cashiers were a different story. When my friend and I went up to the register to pay, the two employees working there were chatting away as if they were having the time of their lives. We stood there staring at them for almost three minutes before I finally had to speak up and say, "Excuse me, may I please purchase this?" They both looked up with frowns on their faces, staring at me like I had just interrupted the most important, intimate conversation of their lives. It was so bizarre--you'd think they'd be happy to ring up a customer! Instead, the guy just silently muttered "register," grabbed my item, and rang me up without saying another word. It was incredibly clear he just wanted to get me out of there as fast as possible to get back to his conversation with his coworker. It left a really bad impression. It's a very cute shop and definitely worth a quick visit just to see everything. If you decide to go, my biggest recommendation is to go on a weekday around 11:30 AM so you can be one of the first in line and avoid a massive wait! Just don't expect much from the staff at checkout.

Circumstances brought me to this unique and fun store that is practically hidden on the first floor of what appeared to be an abandoned mall in Chinatown, the Bamboo Plaza. Had I not known about this store and its location before visiting, I probably would not have entered the plaza. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by Natalie one of the store owners. I then met with Alan, her husband and co-owner. Both were super personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I overheard them conversing about some of the products with other customers in the store. They really knew their product. The store was jampacked with products from floor to ceiling. I was overwhelmed with how much there was to see. There were so many different model kits to choose from (Pokemon, Bandai, Gundam, etc.). They also had figurines, model paint, books, stickers, Gundam decals, Book Nook and Wonderland items, Pokemon Mini Building Blocks, other building blocks, DVDs and other fun items. Everything was well stocked and neatly organized. I appreciated that most of the items were displayed behind glass so that you could see the actual product vs just looking at the picture on the box. Even though I am an adult, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I did not leave empty-handed. :) If you're looking for a wonderful brick and mortar hobby shop with Asian flair, I highly recommend this shop.

Located on the corner of Main Street and Garfield Ave, it is a great place to visit while going for a stroll in the heart of downtown Alhambra. Although the shop is small, they were able to feature hundreds of items without it being overwhelming. As a newbie to the current line of collectibles, Top Canvas serves as a great introduction to the new trend. As I walked in, a young woman politely greeted me and offered me assistance. Upon request, she promptly directed me to the Mofusand plushies and a wall of keychains. She took down the plushies from the shelves, so I could take a good look at all of them. And then, I spotted one very adorable Hello Kitty plushie holding a strawberry which totally makes a great Valentine's Day gift. For less than twenty bucks, I quickly secured my choice and went on to explore the rest of the shop. The average prices range from $9.99 to $29.99, so you can build up your collections without breaking the bank. Top Canvas is a great place for buying gifts on a budget, as they offer so many cute things for under $20. I also purchased 2 Lokiki blind box plushies as gifts. The gift recipient seems to love it, because it's always fun to open up a blind box. She totally adores her Lokiki plushie. Without a doubt, the highlight of my visit is the wall of Mofusand keychains! At $9.99 each, big or small, these are just too darn cute to pass up. I want them all!!
