Tequila Sunset (Tequila, pineapple, Grenadine)

The first time I went was good but this time was a vibe! Happy hour was until 9p and on this Saturday, they had karaoke on the patio. The bartender Dave took care of me and my girls. The drinks were amazing and the food was really delicious. The beef lumpia was holding a lot of grease this time but the taste was still quality. I'll definitely be back for happy hour again!

It was our first time there coming from Maryland. Bartender, manager and servers are super friendly. We went there specifically for Filipino food and its so far the best I've had (compared to the ones in MD) Food and drinks are prices right! And the non Filipino food from the menu also looked great. If it wasnt a four hour drive we'd be there on a daily basis. Definitely will go again soon.

I am so glad I live within walking distance from Buko Resto. This place is great! The food is delicious and affordable. The cocktails are made well and the bartenders are polite and they serve drinks quickly. The hookah bar has a good selection. And the layout and atmosphere is just awesome; it doesn't feel like you're in virginia beach.

The atmosphere was nice. Came to celebrate a friend's birthday. Food was good but the service was a tad lack and slowful. A few friends never even got their orders, and they were among the first to place an order. I had the lumpia basket and fries which was tasty. An order of lumpia and 2 long island ice teas. (Drinks were NOT watered down even though it was happy hour either). Work on the service a tad...but overall it is a very nice establishment and a cool chill spot to hang out and enjoy friends. I'd come back again.

Went out here late at night to grab a bite with Lanni. The parking is pretty sketchy but not too bad. We sat at the patio which was pretty chill and I ordered us some food. To my surprise, they were serving Silog (Filipino breakfast) very late at night! I ordered spamsilog and an order of tokwat baboy. The food took a little to come out, but it was very delicious and authentic! The garlic rice was delicious, spam was cooked to perfection, and the tokwat baboy was large and filling. Definitely coming back especially when we're craving pinoy breakfast at midnight .

Came in for what they posted on Fbook "Taco Tuesday". When we walked in there was nobody in the establishment. We sat ourselves at one of the booths. I noticed a bartender standing at the bar on his phone. I went up to the bar and he did not look up until I said hello to him. No greeting by him but a rude "Are you with them in the back?" Clearly I was with my family since once again we were the only people there! He then gave me dirty menus and I took them back to my family. A few minutes later he walked to the table and said "You guys ready to order?" It's amazing how a simple hello or welcome would have gone. But clearly customer service is not a priority. We were excited to try the Filipino dishes and dollar menu advertised on Facebook. My mother began ordering. The man then cut her off and said he needed to go check with the kitchen to see what they actually had available...... He then came back and told us the many things on the menu that were unavailable including TACOS for taco Tuesday! We still tried to give the establishment a chance and ordered what we thought we could. A few moments after placing our order he came back and asked us what were the Hangover Noodles. We told him it was something on their menu and he said "Show me." How does a worker not know their own menu? Anyways, after we showed him we walked away only to come back to tell us "yea we don't have that." That was the final straw and we decided to leave. Paid for our drinks and went elsewhere. It was such a disappointment that this was our experience. As Filipino Americans we were thrilled to discover this business at Filfest at mt trashmore. At the festival they had a truck with very nice employees and good food. It's a shame that their actual restaurant/bar is horrible.

I was hoping get for more menu items. The food was okay based on taste. Unfortunately, our food took a while to come out and the skewers were cold. The "melted" cheese was not melted at all. The waitress was young and friendly, but our drinks could've used some attention. The place looked nice and had a lot going on with all the strobe lights. I doubt I'd come back for the food. Maybe to play pool. Seems more like a place of entertainment for the night life rather than a restaurant.

I came here for the night life experience. While the DJ was playing lit tracks and the transitions were good, no one was dancing. And it's definitely not the bar's fault, they deserve more publicity because I know more people would come out here if they knew about this place. Drinks were fairly priced and they were generous with how much alcohol they put in our drinks. They got security that wands down women and pants down men but it's no big deal. I just put 4 stars because I didn't get the vibes that I was looking for due to the empty dance floor. I bet this place will be popping soon though if they keep that same DJ from tonight.

Pork sisig

Went in here to get a taste of filipino home. I heard the inside got newly renovated. It looks good and the colors match the vibe. Bartender told me they usually play sports events here too so ill be returning just for that. On to the food. I ordered the sisig. It took a bit but it was worth the wait. Traditional Sisig is made from grinding up the pig face. Of course i dont expect that, but the flavors matched very well with the Sisig flavor i was looking for. Presentation was good from the rice being bowled with some toppings to having the egg in the middle of the sizzling platter. Check this place out if you havent.

This is an $8 order or Chicharrone Bulaklak. I know what you're thinking... Where's the rest of it?

We loved the food at Repeal Bourbons and Burgers !…read more We started off with drinks which were yummy and delicious. I had the Plymouth Rock because I love Gin and it was refreshingly sweet. My husband had the Margarita on the Rocks which I was not a fan of. I did not like the mix they used to make thins drink. My son also tasted it and agreed with my opinion. The lettuce wraps were really good. My daughter in law and I both had the CALIFORNICATION burger, my husband had the CLASSIC burger, my son had the CAPONE Burger and everyone was really happy! All burgers were properly cooked and delicious. The fries were good, nothing special to write about. My husband had the fries with bacon dust and they were very sweet. He wasn't a fan but I thought they were delicious!

Sat in a booth inside since it was a little warm outside. Bomb MI was good. It had black garlic sesame aioli, kimchi, pork belly, sunny side egg, cucumber on a sesame seed bun. The Southside was alright. It is bombay gin, St. Germaine, Jack Rudy small-batch tonic, and soda. Would have given this place a 4/5 if not for the crappy service. The rude guy working the bar was neither friendly or pleasant. There were no napkins when food was served. I stood up and politely asked for some. I found some below the register and, since the guy was busy prepping drinks, I decided to get them myself. He then said, "okay do my job," which was unnecessary and rude. Though the other waiter was friendlier, service was overall bad.

There is a good selection of Virginia beers on tap and a rotating selection of beers from around the country on tap. They also have a cider on tap. There is a small selection of wines, canned beers, non- alcoholic beers, and for those who just graduated from soda - hard seltzer. The food menu clearly labels gluten- free and vegetarian options. There is a nice selection of appetizers, flatbreads, bowls, burgers, sandwiches. My husband and I both went with bowls I had the poke bowl and my husband had the chicken bowl. Both were delicious and above what one would expect for a pub. Mine came with succotash, which I thought was an interesting choice, but it worked. We split the pretzel, which was amazingly good. The waitress was attentive and good. They do have live music on Friday nights. There are many different happy hours during the week. Definitely we will go back

Our first table ended up being under a spotlight that was directly in our line of sight (it looked like it was meant for the specials board), so we asked to move. Staff was accommodating and got us to a better table quickly. The space itself is really nice. It was clean, rustically decorated, and the live plants in liquor bottles on the tables are a nice touch. Our server was friendly from the start and took drink orders right away. My daughter and I had sodas, and my husband ordered the Southern Charm Old Fashioned off the specials menu, which he enjoyed. The menu is on the smaller side, which we actually like. One unique detail was the option to "buy a round for the kitchen," which we thought was a really nice touch and decided to add it when we ordered our appetizer. We started with the fried deviled eggs after a friend recommended them. They were creative with three styles (classic with pickle, togarashi ginger, and crispy prosciutto), but overall a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as we expected. We asked for Dijon, but they don't have it. Our server suggested and brought out the Baja dipping sauce instead, which did pair well and kind of improved them. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. He said the fish was flaky and well cooked. I ordered the Union grilled cheese, which unfortunately seemed like it had been sitting a bit before being served, as the bottom was soggy. It was just okay overall and not particularly memorable for the price. The sweet potato fries on the side were the clear standout. They were crispy, the perfect balance of sweet and salty and honestly the best part of the dish. Our daughter had the kid's smashburger. It was exactly that. Service throughout the meal was good. She was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and there when needed. The main disappointment came at the end. When our meals were served, the server actually offered sauces at the table (ketchup, mayo, ranch, etc.), and specifically suggested items like the baja sauce for the eggs and ranch to us. Because of that, we were surprised to see several charges for the sauces on the bill, especially since they were offered and recommended at the table with no mention of any additional cost. We were also charged a credit card fee, with no signage anywhere (entrance, hostess stand, or menu) indicating that paying with a card would include an extra charge. It just left an unnecessary sour note on an otherwise solid, casual meal. Nothing was bad, and nothing really stood out as exceptional, but the lack of transparency around those final charges really impacted the overall experience for us.

I ordered the Sunrise Burger, subbing hot honey for the mayo and oh-mah-gawsh that was an excellent decision. (The burgers are a little on the smaller side, but I found it to be the perfect size.) So when one of the Homies told me about this place I was all in because - burgers - what's not to love. Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated but that was cut short by option to sit at the bar. The bartender was working like she had six arms. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!
