Eating anything Korean was a first for me. I was visiting my son in Sarasota he suggested we have lunch at his favorite place. We walked in and were instantly seated. The inside was clean the staff was very friendly. We were seated and brought menus, my son suggested we do the "all you can eat". He ordered a little bit of everything except the chicken. The cabbage was delicious a little spicy which is what I like. The meat and veggies were also good I mostly enjoyed the rice with the sesame sauce, very delicious. I must confess, I did not tell my husband we would be cooking our own food bc he would say no right away. As soon as we got there, he seemed to have one of those little boy tantrums, and I just laughed. I'm so bad. My rationale is, it's hot outside so let's just spend as much time or longer making food and eating, but then again, we only had an hour bc lunch hour on Saturdays closed at 3pm. And we got there at almost 2pm. Either way, as soon as he ate his food, he was a happy camper. He even got into cooking. No more baby boy aggression lol. So happy wife happy life as well as full bellies for both of us. Faves were the Korean sweet corn side and bulgogi and the Korean steamed egg. But everything was so good and flavorful and very simple to make. You can opt not to make your own food but the price would be more in my opinion. Lunch is 24.99 on Friday and Saturday. Came here with the boss and another couple. Instead of overeating and getting the ayce, we ordered single plates so we could cook at the table. Had 3 LA galbi, 1 bulgogi, 1 chicken and 1 pork belly. Have to pay for rice (as an Asian, I hate that). The meat was tasty. The banchan was disappointing. Kimchi, japchae noodles, tomatoes and broccoli. Tomatoes? Never had that as a banchan choice. I think for an ayce, it would be a good value. But coming for single plates, it's not a great value. But the banchan is really disappointing. So I have a hybrid score. 5 for ayce, 2-3 for single plates. I'm rounding up for the average. read more

This place is great! First of all, the restaurant is very clean and tidy. It definitely has an authentic KBBQ vibe with all the metal silverware and plates. The grill is nice and gets hot quickly. I came for the $20 lunch special which was super worth it! The marinated meats were all very flavorful and tender, and paired really well with the tomatoes and kimchi sides. The marinated pork belly was one of my favorites, and the pork shoulder was tender and juicy! The bulgogi was seasoned nicely and the beef brisket had a great fat to meat ratio and cooked up well on the grill. The meats all seemed fresh, too! What was also nice was the scissors to cut the meat up for the grill were really nice and sharp! Service was really good, too. The place was busy but there was plenty of good service and I didn't have to wait too long for things. My only few small complaints is that the japchae was on the lunch menu as a side but wasn't available for lunch, and that I had to keep requesting kimchi as the side dish they served it on was very small and, even if I asked for more, they wouldn't give me extra until I finished what I had which meant I had to ask for more kimchi FOUR times during the course of my meal. But otherwise this place is excellent, I definitely will be back again to enjoy the grilled meats! Great experience with great food! read more

Pretty decent Korean BBQ for this area. Coming from SoCal where we have the BEST Korean BBQ outside of NYC and Korea, it's great to find a good local place. Good cuts of meat for AYCE - favorites were kalbi, rib eye, and bulgogi. The banchan was very limited - all I remember is Kimchee. For those reviewers who are surprised by limits...most AYCE do have limits on their top end meats - at this restaurant, it's rib eye. When we go to Chubby Cattle in LA, it's some of the Wagyu cuts of meat. $45 pp is a pretty good deal. Service was very good. read more

We came on a Saturday night around 8:15pm with a party of 6 and we still waited 40ish minutes to get seated. We put our name on the yelp waitlist when we got there and a bigger party was leaving. We decided to go for a walk since we were number 5 on the waitlist, but when we returned from our walk, the table was still not cleaned up. The service overall was quite slow from beginning to end. They took 15 minutes to come back to us to take our order and it was hard to get their attention when we needed something. They were very nice when they came through. The food was so good and the quality was there. We got the premium bbq and the meats were fire. The ribeye, tenderloin, and short rib steak were my favorites. It paired perfectly with the salad. The pork wasn't my favorite. The cheese corn was very cheesy and sweet. We seasoned it with some salt and pepper to make it better. They are currently promoting every $50 you spend, you get a $25 gift voucher for next time until the end of September (I think this is the case). The place itself is pretty loud with chatter and cooking. The grills are loud which makes everyone else talk a little louder. It was interesting to not have a vent right over the grill. read more

We came here with friends for dinner yesterday. The place is clean and well-lit. The service was helpful, prompt and friendly. We chose to cook our dinner on the burners at the table. We ordered the beef bulgogi, the marinated chicken, steamed egg and rice. They are all delicious as were the little plates of kimchi, broccoli, noodles and marinated tomato salad. Bulgogi House recently set up shop in downtown Main St. We were taking our son to Bulgogi House for his birthday. We knew they had just opened, so I figured there might be some issues. Since they just opened, they still needed an ABC license. This was a minor issue, as my son looked forward to a beer. That was OK, we know how it is with a new restaurant. The food was OK. I had the Bugogi, my wife had the pork belly, my son had the spicy pork belly and his date had the chicken. We were provided with side items, as is a Korean custom. They were different from other Korean restaurants I have been to. The sides were kimchi (somewhat bland for kimchi), elbow noodles with a light cheesy sauce that looked like they were out of a box, tomato quarters with a light sauce, and plain broccoli. We thought these were very bland and not at all like the wonderful sides we have had at other Korean restaurants in the area. Where are the spicy Korean spinach, soybean sprouts, spicy cucumber salad, spicy radish salad, and other side items that all other Korean restaurants have? The main dishes were pretty good. Nothing amazing, but OK. We were expecting more sharp, spicy flavors to liven up the meal. Since we had a birthday, I asked if they had any kind of birthday cake or whatever they could supply. I was told no, and that was that. I do not believe I have been in any restaurant that did not have anything for a birthday party. Then came the bill. They added their 20% tip to the bill, which included tipping on the tax! This was not a suggestion, this was a demand! I usually tip well, and while I thought it was outrageous. Frankly, the waitstaff was OK, but not great. Again, a newly opened restaurant, so I dealt with it. Then I saw the SUGGESTED TIP, which they were looking for another 20%. I was absolutely stunned! I will never go back. It is beyond my understanding to demand a tip and request a tip on the tip! Beyond which, the food was bland and not that great. read more

Just finding decent Ramen, much less authentic Ramen, has taken me two years. Here's a tip... Mitake, in West Bradenton, and in Ellington. And for sushi and Vento boxes and fried delights, Taukino in Ellenton near the ramen joint. As far as all you can eat Asian barbecue, I've tried the one at UTC, and they have a lot of stale food, and I've tried the Hong hot pot and barbecue, and that was good and the ambience is really quite entertaining, but the winner and the best in show goes to Bulgogi House . This place is hands-down best in class OMG! All their sides are very authentic. They keep supplying you with meat that is tender and a nice grade of meat. It's very authentic. It as good as any Korean meat House Gardena, California, which is a Japanese and Korean city pretty much. I was so thrilled to find this place. You have no idea. We visited Bulgolgi House for dinner last night and didn't realize what we were walking into. We thought it was going to be an order at the counter and and hoped they had a couple of tables available to eat at. It's actually a sit down restaurant with grills in the middle of all the tables. You have the option for the chef to prepare your food or they will bring you the meat, marinated and raw and you can grill it at your table. It was so fun! You can order by the plate or get an all you can eat. We got the all you can eat and it was delicious and fabulous! Our favorite was the Bulgolgi but we did get the Basic All You Can Eat. Which included chicken, beef bulgogi, pork shoulder, brisket, pork belly...if you get the Premium that includes Beef Tenderloin, Salmon, Shrimp, and other higher end proteins. They also come with all of your sides, we ordered rice and kimchi. The staff was friendly and attentive and everything seemed very clean. They're new so I hope they stay very clean. That's a big thing for me. We had a fun and amazing experience. It was so so good and great bang for your buck. We will definitely be returning. read more
