This was AMAZING! We were looking for somewhere for a fun meal, and Gogi Go absolutely delivered. We went with the 90 minute all you can eat and had three rounds of amazing food. They put it on the grill for you and you cook it to your liking, then enjoy it with rice and sides! The service was incredible, our server was around quickly to to change out the grill and let us order our next round, but didn't really hover or make us feel rushed, even though we were one of the last seatings of the night. Even as we were on our way out, they made sure to offer us the complimentary ice cream! The whole place is so nice and comfortable, and the vents over the grills are literally silent so you don't have to worry about them drowning out conversation. It's a great place to go whether you want to try a dozen different types of meat or just want three rounds of the same thing! Not to mention, the food is INCREDIBLE. Goji Go is one of my favorite dinner spots in Fredericksburg. I return probably at least once a month. For the amount of food and how good it is, it's worth a return visit! In a sea of fast food chains and Mexican restaurants, it's also a gem to find some Korean food in this area, which is shocking considering we aren't far from NoVA. I've had KBBQ in other areas of the US, and this is definitely a toned down version of it, but I still really appreciate what we have here. After reading some of the other reviews, I have to wonder if people have been to AYCE settings before, since many of them mention rules that Goji Go has in place that are commonplace in every other KBBQ setting I've had - requirements of same meal "plan" selection, charging for leftover food, time limits, no doggy bags. Make sure you get here before 7, or it will be packed, which should tell you how excited people are for this food regularly. It's a pretty average KBBQ set up, but with a more open setting as opposed to intimate booths I've seen elsewhere. There's a newly updated ramen wall and TVs showing kpop dance shows. There's a gorgeous mural on one of the walls, and if you're a tech nut, there's also a little robot that occasionally makes a turn about with meats delivered to specific tables. All of the servers are incredible, and we've never had an out of turn experience - we are provided everything we need and more, even with how busy they can get. There is a bibimbap salad bar and an ice cream machine, and you'll get a bowl of rice and opportunity for appetizers, but don't let that stray you from the real thing you should be getting, which is the meat! I always recommend starting with the brisket, getting a side of ssamjang and lettuce. Ask for more pickled raddish an 100% ask for more cucumber kimchi - it's the real star of the banchan. I think that having the greens helps offset "the meat sweats," and allows you to have more meat. Spicy pork and spicy pork belly are the true stars of the show. The marinated chicken is awesome, and the LA Galbi is nice if you want to invest a little more $. Make sure you grill your kimchi, too! The one rule I will break as a side is to get corn cheese. There's just something about the flavor that helps offset all the meat. My husband loves pairing all this with a sapporo, and I will forever get a kick out of what we call "the frog water" pitchers that have the Jinro/Tera toad on them to refill your drinks with. Highly recommend dipping in salt and sesame oil for the unmarinated meats. I do wish they offered more seafood options and that at least one steak option was offered for the cheaper "plan," but if that's worst I can come up with, perhaps you should try it for yourself and see what a stellar experience this is. After all, you can top it off with some ice cream on your way out the door! read more

Tried this place out last night and had no idea what to expect. It's a cool spot and the food was good. Our waitress admitted she was still fairly new and it showed but there was a gentleman that was super helpful. He stepped in and helped suggest things to try, brought us lettuce to make wraps and was really on point. I will say, when they come to swap your cooking plate, scoot back! The grease is super hot and hurts when it is accidentally dripped on your hand. Otherwise I definitely suggest trying this gem out. Only negative is how small the tables are. So I left this place disappointed. Oh, also, they conveniently sang happy birthday in our allotted one hour time frame. It makes me wonder, if the actions experienced are all intentional. Why discourage a customer from getting two of same meats? Why sing Happy birthday when we were clearly still eating??? Why not disclose the 1 hour limit?? Walked in on a Saturday evening around 5pm. Nice crowd but we were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. DeWa was our server and he greeted us pleasantly, though a tad soft-spoken. Having explained that it was our first time there, DeWa patiently explained the menu and options. Sides and drinks arrived quickly as well as the food for cooking. The food appeared fresh and the portion sized were pleasing with the all you can eat B set. At least 6 staff either checked on us, delivered food or cleaned away used dishes. The brisket was a little under seasoned and the cumin pork belly but some of that is the fault of the chef (Me). As everything else was previously and nicely marinated and prepared. We enjoyed our food and sadly could not finish everything that we sampled. And so you know, no take out on the all-you-can-eat and I understand why. It was a very pleasant experience and a decent value for what we received. Waited a couple months before checking Gogi go out as it is a new restaurant in the area. Coming from Northern Virginia my expectation of Korean BBQ is very high. I'm sad to say that this spot did not meet my expectations. The service was good, but the food was mediocre. I think it has to do with the quality of meats. The sauces are also meh which to me makes a huge deal when it comes to Korean bbq. The pricing is decent for what you get. We chose option B, but overall we were not impressed. We had a great time here on valentines night. We brought our toddler who crushed the plain rice so it's clearly top notch lol! I would say the restaurant although the concept may not seem like it , it is definitely family friendly we had a load of fun. Visiting from NOVA DC area, I was a little bit skeptical of the Korean barbecue down here because usually Asian food or hibachi in the southern areas are just joints with a bunch of American yum yum sauce drowsed on top of teriyaki, but this is an actual legit Korean barbecue spot. First off, I want to say thank you to the kind waitress Ann, your service and personality made the dinner a more enjoyable experience, ultimately I'm giving this five star review because of you!! And the food of course. 너무 검사합니다~ The thin, sliced pork belly was so delicious, all you need is a little bit of sesame oil and salt and pepper or samjjang (which they'll give you upon request, it comes with the lettuce which is Romaine lettuce, usually it should be Korean lettuce, but I think because not a lot of people know what Korean lettuce is, they're not serving that yet.) The bulgogi (peul-goh-ghi) was so flavorful, everybody makes it differently, but I could tell it had an array of seasoning to it, which I absolutely love. The spicy bulgogi was just a little bit too spicy for me, but I'm week, so if you like heat & spicy you should get that. You always have to get brisket that's like a hands-down meet you want to get. Get lettuce, put a little bit of rice in there, add your meat, then top it off with some kimchi or samjjang and you'll be tasting Korea right ;) Honestly, you can't go wrong with the bahnjjang (side dishes) those are always a must & necessity. It might be a bit confusing if you never eat Korean food before but instead of having one huge entrée, there's like a portion meal and then a bunch of side dishes that are either vegetables, roots, another meat or fermented food. The ambience is uplifting and if you want to eat some nice meats and have some drinks this is a place to go. Price wise, it's normal or affordable. read more

We got the middle tier, which was $36 per person. And we ate our faces off. The bulgogi, brisket, marinated steak, and shrimp were fantastic, as were the various kimchis and the "cheese corn," which you also cooked in a tiny dish on top of the grill. The Gogi Punch was also a nice cocktail to go with the meal. The servers were very prompt and attentive and best of all - a robot brings the food to your table. I will start by saying the food was ok for Korean bbq standards but the management policies towards their customers is one the most horrendous experiences I had ever had. We dropped the kids off at paragon so my wife and I could have a date night for our anniversary, and then the plan was to get the kids to join us afterwards so they could eat with us too. Mid way through our dining experience we were warned that we had only 45 minutes left to eat because there is a time limit on how long we can dine. So we rushed to get the kids and then my daughter wanted to take her fries and they said she could not, tied to height restrictions for kids meals. Never again will I return here. I will start with the pros. The food was pretty good, the service is spotty, depending on who's helping you and the look of the restaurant is OK for dining, but it's not inviting. One of the major cons I see for this restaurant is the fact that everyone at the table has to have the same thing. It was five of us. Two elderly that don't eat a lot two men that can eat the best of them under the table and myself who went along with the crowd, but try not to do buff faced out eating because I don't eat a lot, and you cannot take the food out with you that you cannot eat. The other issue is this restaurant is very pricey unless you catch them at lunch time. This place is very unyielding to any variation away from their way to do things and seem like they don't care for your suggestions. My first thought when I think of this restaurant is that it won't survive long. I took a start away because of the cost another star away because of the spotty service and another star away because of the fact, everyone has to order the same thing at the table. read more

Ban Chan sides were all very good and endless as well. This place is better than I expected. I've been to a handful of Korean BBQ restaurants over a decade long, good and bad. This is definitely one of the best! The food was good and the prices were fair. Our server was really good and it was only his 2nd day. It showed me they have good training. They seem very attentive there and it looks like everybody has everybody else's back there. The only slightly off putting part was when a possible manager was just standing by staring. I'm not sure the reason. Maybe waiting to see if the cover needed to be replaced or to see if we were sharing (we all got the same order) but it felt a little uncomfortable only because he didn't even smile. I kinda get it. You're working and focused on your job BUT this is a type of place where customers are spending good money so maybe a smile or nod would work. The ambiance was really great other than that. The place is clean and it seemed like everybody was enjoying their time there. I was very glad that the Japanese place across the street had a very long wait because I almost forgot about this place after seeing it when it first opened. I would be very surprised if this establishment doesn't make a lot of business. I absolutely consider it a hidden gem, and yes, it's kind of hidden considering how close it is to Plank Road.
