Korean Grill is a small Korean restaurant, nestled in the Springwood Shopping Center. They serve various apps (such as fried and steamed dumplings, shrimp tempura, etc.), charcoal BBQ, teriyaki, and rice & soup dishes. We came here for an early dinner, and we tried: +the Dduk Mandoo Guk - pork dumplings and rice cake in a beef broth; the staff let us know that they had run out of the beef shank, so there wouldn't be meat in there; the broth was thick and flavorful, but I just wished the soup came out piping hot +the Dol Sot Bibimbop - hot stone bowl with rice, bulgogi, veggies, and rice with the bibimbop sauce on the side; this was just okay; the rice was a little mushy, but the stone bowl was super hot that it made the rice crispy +and, the Galbi Gui - marinated beef short rib, that's cooked in the kitchen; this was our favorite, as the meat was tender and had a good charcoal taste to it The banchans were all fresh and very well-prepared. Service was very sweet and welcoming. There seems to be regulars who dine-in, and there were many who did call-aheads for to-go orders. Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +Galbi Gui +friendly service +plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot +located in the Springwood Shopping Center

what an awesome experience... hospitality was excellent and her recommendation of the beef short rib was absolutely perfect... yes it's $40 for the entree but it was worth every cent... the dressing on the salad was one that I almost wanted to sip the last of it off of my plate but I'm not a complete Neanderthal... a wonderful quaint setting and this was my very first time dining there in the 16 years i've resided in Woodbridge... I'll definitely be back

Food was good but surprised how much price menu went up! There is not online website with menu... just posting it here.

I've been coming here since I was a kid & the food is consistently good every time. The place hasn't changed much lol! But it doesn't need to. IMO this really is the best Korean food in the Woodbridge area. It has a peaceful ambiance, it's clean, and the service is attentive, but not overbearingly so. If you're worried about price, consider coming at lunch time. They bring out banchan for every table, which I appreciate because I've been to a few korean restaurants that don't offer this. If you are brand spanking new, I'd recommended the bulgolgi or a bento box. I've seen some reviews mentioning how they won't let you in close to closing time but c'mon guys, that's just basic common courtesy and good for them being firm on their boundaries. They are probably tired like the rest of us!! Happy eating!!

What a hidden gem I wished I've tried sooner! From the cute atmosphere once you step inside, to the quick and friendly service, everything was perfect and such a wonderful experience. The food? The best part! Authentic, delicious, prompt, and came out sizzling hot (literally). I'll look forward to many more visits here and adding this to my regular rotation. Don't sleep on this place and don't let the location fool you! It is worth your while 100%.

Korean Grill [KG]. (3 stars). Me: I want Wang Galbi. Friend: Don't they have legit Korean Restaurants there? Me: No!!!!!!! Friend: You're just spoiled & used to eating in Korea. Me: YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT!!! KG is a typical sit down Korean restaurant that does offer some dishes that are not well known. For those who are not familiar... Galbi comes in 2 forms... Wang (butterfly w/rib bone) or LA (sliced). Koreans adore Wang Galbi because of its heartier & tender meat but LA Galbi is more affordable & easier to grill. I'm so behind on my reviews as I've visited KG on numerous occasions for months!... KG's version of Wang Galbi is very muted in flavor. Interesting since I was told they marinate their meats. Their Kimchi Jjigae is tolerable but muted as well. No robust anchovy or garlic flavors here... Tea is $3 per pot with unlimited HOT WATER REFILLS. Their Spicy BBQ Chicken is grilled nicely & flavorful. Probably the only item I would recommend currently. Banchan is on the blander side & you can't choose which items you want. I'm spoiled. I don't enjoy KG's Americanized banchan selection. They have lunch plates which are slightly cheaper but nothing I would highly recommend. Average fare. Parking is available in a shared lot. As a Korean who has travelled & enjoyed my way through almost all provinces of SOUTH Korea... KG is OK but definitely not what I crave. I wish KG well.

Quality of dinners for both my spouse and I exceeded our expectations. We will return! Service was extremely courteous and caring.

Quality-wise, this is Hmart food court energy -- which is a compliment. The jajangmyun and soondubu are both dependable standbys, though you'll pay a couple bucks more here than you would at Hmart for the privilege. Where things get spicy (not the good kind) is when you start comparing prices to actual sit-down Korean restaurants: $19 for kimchi pajeon and $31 for LA galbi is the kind of pricing that makes you double-check you're still in a food court and not an actual BBQ joint with table service and a grill built into your table. That said -- the owners are genuinely friendly, service is fast, and portions come stacked with the right supporting cast: miso soup, pickled veggies, kimchi, all present and accounted for. No corner-cutting on the banchan front. Is it the cheapest Korean food in Northern Virginia? No. Is it convenient if you're already at Global Foods and craving Korean comfort food? Absolutely. There's not much else competing for this niche in the area, so it fills a real gap -- just go in knowing you're paying food-court-plus-tax-and-then-some prices for some items. Pro tip: they're closed Tuesdays, so don't make the pilgrimage only to stare at a locked gate.

Then when we get the check once again no thank you for coming enjoy your evening anything. The lack of customer service made the experience unenjoyable to say the least. I understand we came in a bit towards closing but with still an hour I feel like we deserved better service and shouldn't have to charge that behavior to "we're about to close". Despite that, the food came out quick and was very good. The rice was a bit overcooked but I let it go. Overall, I would go back and eat there again, just maybe with a different server.
